Their daily onion burger special is the thing to get here. It's big, hot, juicy and delicious. And a great value at only $7.99. Onions are sauteed perfectly, not cooked into the patty but still yummy. It's got a of thick pickle slices, lotsa mustard, yet it all just works. I would stop in again just for that burger. Their pre-prepared service station food is also being done right. While in warming bins, everything tastes fresh. Chicken strips tender and juicy. Deep fried wings the same, and especially good dipped in that tasty "1906" barbecue sauce. Corn dog hand-dipped and on point. I enjoy OnCue a lot when I'm in OKC & haven't been letdown yet. Stock is always full, plenty of coffee options to choose from along with hot times as well. The have a kitchen called The Grill & was closed when we recently visited (I looked up that it shuts down at 11pm). It was close to midnight & we were heading back to Tulsa, we decided to get coffee (yeah I know). I went with the Cinnabon coffee (iced) & I'd get it over and over again. I even topped it off with some caramel & white chocolate. It was REALLY good, I went with a medium (they don't have a small option) & it was the right amount I needed. I usually grab some chips if anything & I decided to keep it at coffee. Plenty of chips to choose from & ALMOST got these mini churros, which I feel like would've paired well with the Cinnabon coffee. Outside of The Grill, there's a section where there's rollers full of tamales, taquitos & more on rotation. An employee can check you out or you can do the self checkout.

As a store, it was fine -- clean, well-organized, well-stocked, with the food and drinks you'd expect from any QT. None of the fundamentals were missing. What was missing for me was the warmth. At the QT locations I got used to in Texas, you can't even step through the door without a staff member calling out a friendly "welcome in!" -- it's almost a brand signature down there, and it sets the tone for the whole visit. At this location, I walked in and got nothing. No greeting, no acknowledgment, just business as usual. It's a small detail, but it's the kind of small detail that separates a great convenience store stop from just a transaction. The store itself does its job and there's nothing wrong with it. But if QT as a brand is going to keep that warm, friendly culture as part of what makes it stand out from every other gas station and convenience store, the team at this location could take a page from their Texas counterparts. Decent stop, just missing that bit of personality that makes the difference.
