They were closed so we went back this morning. I asked for any kits appropriate for a four year old, and one of the ladies told me to give her a second. She came back with scraps and said they were free so my daughter could find out if she liked it. And then if she did, she had more for my daughter to try. You just don't find this kind of kindness at many shops anymore, and I so appreciate their willingness to pass on their craft like this. I ended up buying some items for myself, and I'm excited to get back on my cross stitch journey while my daughter starts her own.

My sister, who is an avid cross stitcher, enjoyed perusing the shelves and looking at threads and patterns. One of the things my sister was very excited to find was hand-dyed backing and a beautiful pattern for a stained glass window. When she couldn't find something she was looking for, she asked for help and received it. The ladies working there were a little quirky, but I think that's to be expected in a cross stitch shop. We also enjoyed meeting Romeo, the beagle. He was very calm and just enjoyed some sniffs and pets before letting us shop.

It's filled with tons of fun decor items, jewelry, children's toys, bath and body products like bath bombs, and then some. The prices are a little high but exactly what I would expect for a shop like this. It's great for gifts or something for yourself. It is geared towards women but there's no harm in that. If you're out walking in the neighborhood then definitely stop in. Oh, and the staff was so friendly. They brightened my day.

There's a baby section with lots of items made from organic materials, house decor, toys and some clothes as well. I was shopping for my nieces first birthday and found some great items that went with her cupcake theme. The woman who helped me at checkout was very friendly and wrapped everything for me. Such a nice touch that you can't get at chain stores. My gift for my niece is wrapped and I even left with a gift for my nephew that she wrapped separately. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive.

While shopping we had found these soft sided cases that had no tags or pricing stickers on them but they were thrown in one of the 6or8 bins in the clearance section with only one sign seen on the entire multi-bin display saying $1. We get to the register explained they were in a bin in the clearance and no stickers etc. the manager Mike , maybe new ive never seen him, happens to walk by as the cashier is explaining that she sees them in her book and they are 3.99. The manager says yeah they are 3.99 I'll go take a picture. I said no need it's fine we aren't getting them we were only getting them because they were a dollar. He comes back a few minutes later shoving his phone in my face saying see they are 3.99 there is the sign (buried in the bottom of the crate where you cannot see it) I said maybe you should mark the individual product so people know the price considering they are in the clearance section under the $1 sign its confusing. He had the audacity to say 'Well it's not my job. Apparently you don't have a job!' seriously I didn't spend over a hundred dollars in there to be insulted by the slob of a manager. Mike is a real Richard!!!

Then she looked over me and said, "Maybe I can guilt the next people into opening a card." Last time we were here the greeter was yawning and texting and didnt look up.
