Avoid this location. There was no selection of "equipment" (strollers, swings, bassinets, etc) and furthermore this location does not buy or sell anything in size NB. The toy selection is extremely limited and they only offer "push a button and be entertained" style toys. Selling here is also a horrible experience. I bought in 3 large tubs and it took them 20 minutes to "go through" even with others in front of me. The store we regularly go to takes 2+ hours for a single tote of clothes. When I got home and went back through the clothes, there were many things that hadn't moved; it became clear that they did not actually go through what I brought in. When we moved to the area we were really excited to find Once Upon a Child, and loved the idea of supporting a local small business (even if what we got for trade-ins wasn't much, we figured we were supporting jobs) while saving on clothes and other supplies for the kids. After today it will be our last time. We've basically been turned away from the trade-in counter the last few times we've been in due to the volume of trades they had at the time. In my opinion, it's completely asinine to tell a customer they can wait until 7PM (when trying to drop off trade-ins in the morning) if they want to trade. We even asked if our items could be left overnight so I could return to the store on my lunch break the next day. No such option. Thankfully we usually consolidate trips into town, so today wasn't a completely wasted trip, but to drive 30 miles into town without being able to accomplish this simple task, multiple times, is quite frustrating. read more

To all grandmothers and mothers-the Once Upon a Child store in Duluth Minnesota sells defective merchandise. I just bought a toy there. I had not used it yet. I put batteries in it to discover it does not work. I brought it back not to return it but to exchange it. They would NOT exchange it or take it back. So I was just out the money. Once upon a child is such a blessing to the Duluth area! Always a great experience when I'm in the store either buying or selling.

It's a nice place to shop, but I wouldn't ever try to sell my clothes here again. I brought in a big garbage bag full of newborn size clothes, none were stained or ruined some not even worn, (they accepted all of them.) I waited around 20-30 minutes, which wasn't too bad. But then they offered me $8.75, and I thought it was a joke. I brought in ALOT of clothes. Some of them were $10 a piece when I bought them. $8.75? Really? Not even $10? Wow. I could get at least $50 if I sold them individually or as a whole on Facebook marketplace. I said I wanted my clothes back because there was no way I was going to give them all for $8.75 when I spent way more than that and they were very good quality the worker got snappy with me and was rude. The best Once Upon a Child I've ever been to! It's so neat and organized! The staff is super friendly and always willing to answer questions. They have some great sales from time to time that I always see on Facebook or through their rewards program texts. I will never pay full price again! read more

This place has so much great stuff, it's almost overwhelming to know where to begin looking around--in a good way. I've never seen so many kids' clothes, especially in such great condition, at a secondhand store. There's an entire wall of shelves with books for all ages (even up through junior high). And the toys! So. Many. Toys. And they're all clean and they work! After finding this place, I'm not sure my child will ever receive anything new again. :) The only, ONLY thing I saw that didn't amaze me was that their Hot Wheels cars were $2.50, when the same ones are at Target for $0.99 regular price. But everything else seemed very appropriately priced, if not marked down generously. I will be back. Maybe every week. read more
