I don't donate clothing to this store but shop here frequently for my 2 year old grandson. I can find his gender-age clothing quickly in the store, so my shopping time is reduced. Cannot beat the price! Little ones enter and exit multiple sizes so quickly, so buying new clothing does not make sense. I enjoy OUAC! Appreciate the inventory too. Remember, it's a retail store with set hours to open and close. Accepting gently used items requires inspection and time. Retail is short-staffed. Visit early in the day. read more

Such a frustrating selling experience. I have no idea what their criteria for buying is, but they have rejected clothes that are new, brands that are expensive, and clothes that I have literally bought from them. Truly not worth your time to even try- expect $10-20 of store credit from an entire basket of clothes. read more

They never sent the text saying my items were ready and then donated them and still didn't tell me. I'm out of money now because it was a whole bunch of things I could've sold elsewhere. They even donated my nice tub that the items were in. I called the store to check on my items only to be told they were donated. Then when I went into the store I was told they couldn't even give me store credit or anything. read more

I visited this store during hours of operation to drop off a rocking chair and some items. Because I visited the store close to closing time, the employee would not accept my items, and asked me to bring them back tomorrow because it was close to closing time. So because she did not feel like processing my items, I now have to make another trip to the store, and unload and re-load my vehicle with a rocking chair. Not only am I very busy mom, but pregnant and it's very frustrating to not be serviced during standard hours of operation because someone doesn't feel like servicing you. Awful. I have never had a positive experience at this location. The employees have zero personality unless they want to get snarky with you for bringing in merchandise that they are no longer receiving despite calling ahead before lugging items in. This company as a whole has gone way down hill. There is a limit of one tote at all locations and they all seem to be understaffed and unable to take merchandise. They won't take appointments so you just have to hope and pray someone is willing to work and take your things. read more

This location is pretty big- lots and lots of clothes, a fair amount of furniture and toys. Even with all the merchandise it is still airy and open inside. Service was friendly and helpful. Selection is decent, but I'm learning that you just need to come back every week or so, or go to several locations, if you're looking for something specific. We have been looking for a playpen, and they always have a few but not quite what we want yet. Prices vary from super cheap to almost retail; again, keep looking, something will turn up. read more

I have a love hate relationship with once upon a child sometimes you find great deals that you just can't pass on I think that toys are always a steal here. Clothes are hit or miss and I feel sometimes a little over priced however my real hate for once upon a child comes from the customer service. I hate the way the entire staff looks at you as though you are a complete inconvenience to them when they have to ring out your purchases and God forbid you want to sell something. Eye rolls galore. I rarely do sell here anyway because I feel that I would rather donate my items to goodwill than receive pennies on the dollar for my designer kids clothes and basically new toys. read more

This is THE best place to shop for your kid. I don't know if it's the area or what, but they have really, really cute stuff for kids. I've been shopping here since my son was born (he's now over a year) and I can't even begin to imagine how much money we've saved here. The most I've ever paid for a pair of pants is $6. I find tons of Baby Gap here and fun boutique pieces. They've got all sorts of styles to choose from as well. I don't typically buy toys here, but I did buy a brand-new Ikea rug (the kind with roads for toy cars) for $15, a practically brand-new busy cube thing for $15, and a Little People Farm with characters for $12. Everything looked brand new. As far as buy backs go, it's kind of a waste of time. Especially baby Gap or Old Navy. I think there's a date on one of the tags that says what season they are from and unless they are newer, they won't take them even if they look nice. I never have much luck selling back clothes, but then again that's not my main reason for shopping here! We're moving out of state in less than 6 months and I am REALLY hoping there is a Once Upon a Child where ever we are headed!!! Kids just outgrow stuff so fast that it's great to go buy a bunch of new pants or whatever and not go broke. read more

I always get great deals here. When buying or selling second hand items people need to remember you get what you pay for. As with any second hand store you need to really look thru the clothes to find deals. For example the pricing can be strange... I bought a child's hair bow here for $2. I found the exact one new, at a large retail chain for $1 (regular price). I've gotten great stuff here, happy mom! Thanks! read more
