I checked the hours online saying 11-6pm on Sunday. I arrived around 12:30pm and the store is closed with no signs of opening. Today is Father's Day so that could be cause for a closure, but there is no sign on the door or online. The door even seems to have an 11am open for Sunday with it some what scratched off showing a 1. Their Instagram also made a post about 9:45am........I would be hesitant to come here and call before!

Once Upon a Child Consignment Store. Was a must stop while in the area. Stock up on coats and jackets for fall and winter. Sandals and swimwear for the spring and summer. Look for Yellow tag clearance, it was half off this day. Score!!! We have this store here in Memphis. But the bargains are nothing like this one. Most items are name brand and practically new. Babies to pre-teen sizes. Boys, girls and gender neutral items. Very gently used... From toys-shoes-clothes-costumes-seasonal wear-holiday fashions-books. All about the kids...Everything Children!

I am completely with Missy on this one. You can definitely find some cute kids' clothing, and most are sold at pretty good prices. I have girls, and the stock is generally in better condition, as I have found girls aren't quite as hard on their clothing as little boys are. I personally like to shop for shoes here, as my girls outgrow them so quickly. I can find a pair of gently worn Keds, or cute sandals at about 1/4 of the price of a brand new pair. The staff inspects all of the clothing very closely for stains, tears or wear. I think they even have special lighting to catch any little flaw. Other items include toys, DVDs, hair bows, sippy cups, Melissa & Doug gear, strollers, diaper bags, kids' bedding, and outerwear. As Missy said, I most definitely would not recommend selling any items here. They give you peanuts. Go to craigslist or ebay instead.

Itty Bitty Bella - THE December Diamonds pink Santa mug+spoon .. in the FLESH?!

An audible gasp pierced through the festival xmas music .... children, staff, and their shoppers…read moredirected their senses to the sound of alarm or possible danger.... to their relief (deo volente).... it was just EYE!! And and! THERE ..it was.... THE December Diamond's OG vintage Santa pink mug+spoon .. in the FLESH?! I'm a New Yorker, it had been the longest since I've gotten to revisit old friends in the south. I was just mosey around really. But anyways the retro and pinks Christmas theme has been a hit for the two years, and on going. Go on Amazon or any easily assessable retailers like TJMAX and you will not find THE December Diamond's Santa mug & spoon in vintage Santa PINK, ex: this particular mug on Amazon had no reputable purchases or and it's a lot more expensive than how much it is at itty bitty!! December diamonds came out with 2 versions of this model, pink and red. The red is chopped liver. I know you see the pink Santa everything everywhere but Decembers Diamond is ACTUALLY what Kris Kringle looks like, I've seen so many pink Santa mugs everywhere for an arm and leg and they be doing Santa so dirty, it looks like he has several palsy or something. It had been over 5 years since I visited Memphis. I live in New York. And my 2 best girlfriend's daughters are getting older and while I send them things each year I don't want them to forget me. Matter of fact, I'm complimenting taking one of my girlfriends to court for shared custody bc I love those babies so much. Apparently they aren't the only things that are changing here, when I think of Memphis only brick and mortar store for children back then was Gymboree? I mean the most important thing other than seeing my babies was go to cracked barrel . Anyways where was I, Oh yes, back to the store. I didn't even know what it was called actually I just wanted to mosey around and gravitated towards it bc I was drawn to the visual displays at the window. Not to mention my blood sugar was at a stable level when I spotted... the free freshly baked cookies & coffee (?!!) they neatly offered at a corner. . Next a *PINK refrigerator* (?!!?) for water bottles. (Yes my RHOA nene leaks was activated. ;)* Not to mention they even carried NOODLE & BOO?! Noodle & Boo?! I am spinster but I use noodle & boo for my cat stroller and their products for my gentle delicates. In New York, noodle & boo you can only get if you order it from Saks Fifth or Amazon, bear in mind the inflation and embargo taxes onto the island of Manhattan is not for the faint of heart. BUT it was SOOOO NICE to have the experience of able to just get it in person... *sigh* *The fine print at the bottom* This message and its contexts is NOT the directors cut. A trailer of my experience. Unfortunately I am unable to complete the rest of my experience in the store, if I did I would turn into my dissertation and I'd be Dr. Area G. ..PhD! They provide so many services that other stores in Memphis doesn't. Are you a mother in law whose precious son is married to a charlatan, suffer from disenfranchised grief when your grandkids look like your son, but the other looks likes her? You may be entitled to compensation.. scratch that- just come here and it'll heal it all. Are you a girl who just knew that you'll have a daughter bc of your family bloodline but God chose you to birth all sons so your Pinterest board for baby girl nursery is kaput? Like when Lanie stole chatlottes baby name? Or vice versa... come here girl. Are you in the process of getting pregnant, are you hoping to nurse through the IVF, do you find yourself restoring to the stars and dabbling in the dark arts of memes or repeating a mantra, well come here. Manifest here girl. Ok I have to stop now. I worried the owners will see this review and think of me as Glenn Close in fatal attraction. BYE!

We got there a little after 4 and there were still people in there so we asked, and the owner was there -- She allowed us to stay and did not make us feel rushed as we picked our little outfits for the gender reveal. She then took her time to box it up and decorate our box so cute!!! Literally the kindest lady and we had the BEST experience here! We will absolutely be back and using them for our registry!!!! They also have the cutest boy clothes (which I feel like is hard to find!)

I couldn't quite figure out if this was a young woman's store or perhaps a more hip, designer version of Forever 21. I should have inquired, but it kind of freaked me out that I couldn't tell. I dunno about you, but my 10-16 y/o will not be allowed out of the house in half the things I found in this store. Everything is really cute, but a little too sophisticated and perhaps "showy" for a younger gal. They have tank tops, bottoms, shoes and dresses- very expensive tanks, bottoms, shoes and dresses at that. If I could get my head around who this store was marketed to, perhaps I would have a better time reviewing it.

The clothing is colorful and bright, and there are plenty of accessories to match. It's definitely a fun store. Sizes start at 7, but I simply can't imagine buying my little one such pricey items to wear every day. I only have one pair of Sevens myself! That said, I do love these styles so much more than some of the tween and teen clothing you'll find in department stores. A lot more tasteful and oh so cute.
