This place is incredible! I have found so many treasures here for my niece and nephews! If I want to buy them new clothes, I always come here first! Since kids grow so fast, the don't have much time to wear out their clothes so most of the stuff here is practically like new! Some things even still have the tags attached! I have found tons of expensive child suits for my nephew and beautiful fancy dresses for my niece! There are tons clothes, bikes and cribs, movies and books, strollers and play pins and loads of toys! This place is a MUST for all the parents out there! I wish that there were more of them around so that I didn't have to drive from Lakewood all the way to Westminster to buy something for my kiddos. On the plus side, my sister just lives down the street so it's very convenient. This place also has a stamp card for frequent shoppers, and I've gotten plenty of free items because of my frequency here. Highly recommend! read more

Let me begin by saying that I LOVE to buy used clothing and toy items for children. I've found some fantastic deals (dollar per item) on clothes and toys alike here. I've also noticed some particularly absurd pricing at this store, it seems to depend on the day. The store is clean and for the most part (ish) stays true to the pricing of a secondhand shop. It's the staff that earned the two stars on this review. Every time I go in, which is fairly often, they are rude and seem wholly uneducated. Little Britches on Sheridan is equally comparable to Once Upon a Child, but with a much friendlier staff. Also, don't expect much if you sell items here. No matter how superb the condition of my items, I always leave feeling cheated. It's almost as if the staff makes up the pricing on the spot, and won't give an explanation as to why either. TERRIBLE! They will not negotiate prices what so ever and they are higher priced than other resale stores. They want $16 for a little girls USED dress! Pathetic. I've been a couple times and the time before last they ran my debit card twice and wanted to do it a third (said it was not going through), I had to stop them and show them that both charges have already come out of my account from my iPhone and did not allow them to run it again and had them refund one of the chargers! I will never return. When I arrived they were rude and talking about their personal lives. There was no greeting and I stood there for about 5 minutes before someone finally acknowledged me. No one explained to me how it worked I had never been there before. I went back the next day to find out all my stuff had been donated. The lady seemed to not care that I was very upset and that no one informed me of their donation policy. She said there was a sign (I couldn't find it). They took 19 items and only paid $16. I was very disappointed and will never return. I would not recommend to anyone. read more

We won't be returning ever again. We can take in brand new clothes worn once and they won't take it but the clothes they are selling look like they should have been thrown away. I had a horrible experience at this store yesterday... The older women that work here seem to hate their jobs, maybe even their lives. They have no business working in a children's store. Must be the only job they were offered with their miserable selves. Highly disappointing and very unhelpful. They offered me no service as I was trying to sell my sons old toys and bouncer. I stood there dumbfounded as I HAD to ask the next steps. She said it'd be a few hours! There were 2 little bags of clothes before mine. So I took my 17 month old baby, drove around and finished our other errands. Came back and they had offered me $17.70! For several toys and perfectly good bouncer that was used maybe 4 times. I won't be coming back here to shop, let alone do consignment business here. And to top it off the bathrooms were disgusting!! Trash and hangers strewn about the floor, no paper towels. Never ever again! This was one of the worst experiences I ever had at a store and I am not going to repeat that! This store was recommended to me by a friend who told me they pay acceptable prices for gently worn baby/toddler/childrens clothes. So I packed one tote full of baby and toddler clothes, boys and girls 0 to 24 months, all summer as it's April, all freshly washed, line dried and neatly folded. When I got to the store I was told to leave the tote at a table and that I could come back later or browse their merchandise. I decided to browse their clothes for sale while waiting on my own "results". The clothes they sell are for rather high prices, brand names like Gymboree or Gap or Old Navy sell for about $ 8.00 per piece - preowned, keep in mind, and most of them don't look like new, most of the pants had faded knees from what I saw, at least in the boys section, ages 5 to 7 that I browsed. So I wasn't too impressed with the prices as I can find better prices for these type of brands on ebay. I also would like to include that I've been a seller & buyer on ebay for the past ten years with 100% pos. feedback, so I kinda know what I'm doing and what I'm looking for. So after browsing through their clothes I picked a little bikini for my daughter, 3T for $ 4.50 and a pants for my son in size 7 for $ 6.50. I then returned to the counter to see about the clothes I had brought in. They had only "accepted" about 1/3 of what I had brought in, most of which were little sets, tops and bottoms. I wasn't given a price per piece, which really bothered me. The lady who helped me just rung up each piece into a register without giving me any prices and then threw each piece (which I had laundered and neatly folded!) carelessly into a bin on the floor. When I mentioned that some of the sets had been seperated I was told that the other pieces were not "wanted". Since I like to keep my sets together for sales purpose (meaning tops matching bottoms) I told the lady I would then rather keep the pieces instead of breaking up the sets. So she "tossed" me the pieces I wanted to keep and mumbled something like "whatever". She then proceeded to ring up more pieces, tossing them into the bin and also answering the phone where she seemed to have a private conversation - not very professional as I was standing right in front of her. She also took out two more pieces she didn't "like" and another lady took these pieces to a shelf and tossed them into a bin with other clothes - a bin that was NOT mine! So I told them I would like to have the pieces back which they didn't want and was told I could get them from the shelf. Again, I do not appreciate the way my clothes were handled, and that they were carelessly tossed into a bin with other clothing that did NOT belong to me! Bottom line, they took 9 pieces, gently worn, stain and pill free and paid me a total of $ 9.78. So barely $ 1 per piece, mind you, all brand names most of them Gymboree and Baby Gap. And they sell them for about $ 6.00 to 8.00 and more per piece! I have never felt so bad selling my kids clothes or so humiliated. If I hadn't picked out already two pieces for my kids to buy I would have left without selling anything. I gathered my belongings (the pieces they didn't "want") and left with the Bikini I bought for my lil' girl and the pants I bought for my boy. If I wasn't out of space and needed clothes for my kids that fit I wouldn't be selling in the first place. I still remember very well my kids wearing these clothes, it hasn't been so long ago. And to see them being tossed around and treated as it happend today is hurtful and unprofessional. And the amount I got for each piece was ridiculous, consindering the prices they sell them for. I wasn't expecting a fortune, but about $ 2.00 to 3.00 depending on each piece and outfit, not $ 1. This store will not see me again, as seller OR buyer, and I will certainly not recommend this to anybody. read more

DON'T COME HERE! This is not a good business. We went to the store and dropped off clothes. The next day we came back they said they donated the clothes. All of the clothes were $500 or more in total. They were name brand including miss me, Levi, buffalo, and more. No one made us aware that the clothes would be donated if we didn't come back the same day. They only gave us $20 of store credit. They said they donated them but there is no way it's possible because most of the clothes were brand new and name brand. This was the worst business I've ever been to. Don't come here unless you want to loose hundreds of dollars of clothes to nothing but $20 dollars of store credit. This deserves no stars read more

There are sooooo many people who go here daily it doesn't matter how much stuff you have to sell do not expect to sell it all. I had four huge bags with a lot brand name stuff, including a separate bag of shoes Jordan shoes in fancy boots they didn't even care to open that bag it was still in the knot I tied. winter and summer clothes and shoes brand new sandals my daughter never wore and they didn't even open it. They say there not buying any summer stuff but the racks are full of summer clothes. If that's the case none of my jeans had any rips stains or ect... They bought four pair of about 25 jeans all in the same condition bought from the same store lol funny right. shoot Fill the racks up I think no one stupid enough to donate un useable clothes. I think it's just to many people who go here daily that they automatically have a limit as to what they buy from everyone especially clothing other wise they would be broke. I think it would be nice to tell someone like me who calls a day in advance what to really expect before you load a car up with four kids a full trunk at 7am and drive down there from broomsfield to Arvada. On top that I couldn't find any decent size 5 jeans so no point of trading clothes for different sizes cause your lucky if u find any. I went through there shoes in most of mine were way more decent then the ones they were selling the shoe bins even stink a bit. You be judge I'm sure your better off selling it in bulks online or giving it to family that really needs it. It's not worth putting money in there pockets for there profit when there's always some one in need. I can say whole lot more about about there prices youll definitely spend three times the amount of what they offer you on your clothing in spend it at price you could pay for the same thing brand new your just keeping them in business good job read more

It's really too bad this place has forgotten that they are in the customer service business. To tell the truth, it's much easier to have a yard sale than try to consign here. Upon finally getting someone to acknowledge me I was told it would be about two hours prior to my stuff being looked at and completed. Two hours later they were just being to look at it and when I asked how long it would take her to go trough it I was told forty five minutes. First time seller, went on a Wednesday afternoon, I was told it would take them 2 hours to look at my stuff. Ok fine, I understand they were busy. No one explained the process. I can back . They took 93 items and I got a check for $136. I had clean, name brand clothes from gymboree, Macy's and Dillard's. I was never told what amount was given for which item. They were to busy and when I tried to ask questions, they never gave a an answer. Looking back it was not worth the money or time I wasted for this place to probably make money off my stuff. I would rather give it away then to a business like this. I should have asked for my clothes back and ran out of there! Never again. read more

Everything in the store is in nice condition. Customer service however is another story. I went to the store today and NoBody is friendly enough to acknowledge you when you approach the desk, they grab your things and tell you somebody will get back to you. Neither women wanted to do their job and had to ask each other to help me while they stood there doing nothing. I respectfully declined the money they were offering for my items, and the woman grabbed my Items set them and the counter, tuned her back and don't say a word. Congratulations, the women at this store have mastered the art of providing "customer service" with out saying a word to their customers. I was hoping to purchase some item for my daughter after I sold a few things but there was no way I would I've them my money after that. I will no longer go to once upon a child. read more

We went down there today to sell some of our daughters clothes she grew out of really fast, she's 7 months now and is wearing 9 month-12 month clothes, and there was 2 bags full of clothes, and 90% of them we bought from this retarded store. After taking an hour to go through 2 bags of clothes, they took about 8-10 pieces and offered us $8.75 for them because they believed that the other clothes wouldn't sell in their store, really? Didn't we just buy the clothes from you guys? The staff members are all kinds of lazy when they go through clothes too. I saw the lady going through our clothes and she was just picking them up, glancing at them, and throwing them in a pile. she spent maybe 1-2 seconds looking at the clothes, there's no way you could even tell what kind of brand of clothes they were with as fast as she was looking at them. You know what, we are in a recession, if you don't want to do your damn job give it to someone else that will do it. I don't even know why stains on clothes would matter that much with the way the whole store smelled, like unwashed testicles and anal herpes. we even saw a toy there you can buy at Family Dollar for $5.00 and they were selling it used for $4.50. They are expensive for second hand baby stuff, they don't wash the clothes when they come in, majority of their toys look dirty and i wouldn't let my daughter touch them because of it, the staff seem very inexperienced at, honestly, everything.
