You should go to Urban Rider Cargo Bikes today…read more I had been saving up and researching electric cargo bikes for years until last Christmas when my partner surprised me with a hefty sum he had been saving up for my first ebike. I knew exactly where to go because I am extremely fortunate to live only a couple of miles from the store in Ann Arbor. I'd been there many times before just wandering around and admiring the vast and varied selection of electric bikes they have ready to ride. Finally I was ready to actually make a purchase at last. I talked with one of the owners, Kim, about the key features about some of the bicycle options available in store and what I was looking for in terms of size, use, range, etc.. She's a bicycling guru - superb at making people comfortable asking any and all questions and then answering them in a thoughtful and easy going way. This NOT an intimidating bike shop. Within minutes of taking a test ride on a Riese & Muller Multicharger Mixte I knew that I could not settle for anything other than this particular bike. The Mixte has such amazing features that make it a joy to ride. I love the size, the easy to use controls, the comfortable ride, the rear seating option for my kiddo, the accessories, the rock solid kickstand, and everything else about it. In my opinion, it's an engineering and design home run in the electric cargo bike world. It truly is the most fun transportation option I could ever imagine. Now, it's time to get one for my partner.

Visited here to purchase a new moped because it is really the only place in town to get one. Looked…read moreon google and noticed it had a very convenient location right on Main Street. Being that mopeds are getting so popular on campus and there is free moped parking, it was a easy decision for me. When arriving, I was greeted by the one employee that was working. This shop is VERY small. Don't think of it like a car dealership, it's smaller than most coffee shops, but it gets the job done. There is one room in the place and it has about 10 mopeds on display, but many more to choose from. You can see them all on their website, and the employee walked us through them. Given that I wanted mine immediately, I bought one of the 10 that was in stock and walked out with it later that day. It was the showroom model so it needed some gas and a new battery, but it worked. Unfortunately, later that day the moped stopped working. Apparently there was an issue with the air intake so it would idle on its own. The owner quickly fixed the moped when I took it back and it was then running good as new. Every scooter comes with a 1 year warranty which is a great perk, and a $100 student discount! Besides for the minor hiccup with the moped not working the first day, I am happy with my purchase. I got a mid tier moped for around $1390 out the door which isn't too bad since it will save me so much time walking and so much money on parking. Would shop there again! *EDIT* Took the moped in to fix the handlebar because it was a bit wobbly and the owner, Adam, fixed it right away. Even showed me how to do it incase I have to do It again in the future. Great customer service!

I have a pretty bad knee injury that's was causing me pain on the bike and pain in life for a long time. I use Garmin Vector pedals so I can see the power differences between each leg. I was displaced by 3% or more regularly when riding and after my fit it was almost perfectly even. The ride was great as well. No pain anywhere. Jess is awesome and I sincerely appreciate her awesome skillset!!

Jessica really knows her stuff and was a pleasure to work with-- I really feel like we got a lot done, fitting two bikes, and I enjoyed learning a lot about both bike geometry as well as kinesiology and the various quirks of my own body. Foot shape, foot rotations, angles, where the cleats are on your shoes, where your butt fits on the saddle, the angles of your limbs in various places... super interesting stuff. I ended up swapping out my saddle and handlebar stem and adding a couple of other adjustments toward what now feels quite a bit better, and I learned that I was inclined toward some pretty bad posture on the bike (and why I was doing that). I will definitely recommend for anyone who is either a daily commuter, competitive cyclist or triathlete, or just rides a lot-- it is super useful to understand how your body operates and the relationship between body and bicycle. :)
