My Garage Door was damaged by Hurricane IAN and my contractor hired On Track Doors to replace it. The replacement is the worst product I ever had. The track has carriage bolts to hold it to the stands that attach to the walls. The heads of the bolts interfere with the wheels and cause it to be noisy and in my case catch and the door retracts when going up or down. I have no problem with the Companies Service, they just have an inferior product. read more

Installed our garage door in 2022, and we just found out today that they never bothered to follow up and finalize the permit with our city . Now the permit has expired and they were of no help in getting this resolved even though their job was to make sure that we got a finalized permit upon completion. Can't sell a house with an open permit , which means I get to do their job and have to re-file for a permit. Not happy with the slip shod follow up on their permitting. Not cool On Track . read more

Very punctual, efficient install, and pleasant technician. However the liftmaster infrared or laser contacts were not bolted on, just clipped on, and vibrated loose within a month or so, losing tracking(?) so that oftentimes it took multiple times to get the garage closed. I had to pay about $75 for them to come back and realign it, which I don't think was appropriate. He insinuated we bumped it but we did not. Now it doing the same thing again a few weeks later so I guess this will be a lifelong problem and I'll have to learn how to align the contacts myself, which I find ridiculous. If you buy a liftmaster do NOT buy it with clip on contacts or you could have problems for the duration of your garage door opener's life. read more

We have an older garage door,that needed new weatherstripping. Plus, our neighbor lost our only remote a year ago I called for the weather stripping, and the remotes. The technician came, but our opener was over 30 yo, so there are no more remotes available. Anyway, we figured the motor would give out at some point, so we OKd a new unit. I am sorry i did not catch the man's name, but he was very polite, and professional. Plus, he seemed to like his job Weather stripping, new unit, plus 2 remotes, $337. I think it was a fair price. Hired to see if my garage door opener needed to be replaced or if a tuneup would suffice. Appointment was scheduled for 4pm and at noon I got a call from the service man stating he was in the neighborhood and wondered if I would like him to come early. Um, yes please! . In less than an hour, he replaced the wheels, tuned up the box and cleaned the sensor. Extremely friendly and courteous service and wore a mask the whole time. Our springs broke and we called several companies to come out and fix the issue. On Track Doors was the only one that answered the phone and they had Ed at our home by 7:30AM the next day. They did the installation of the new opener fast and left. Only afterwards did I find that none of my remotes were compatible with the new, neither was the keypad and I am unable to link it to my car. This was not communicated with me beforehand or after the installation. I called and was told to follow the instructions and it should work. I submitted a contact request form through OTD's website as well as 3 other garage door repair companies, asking for an estimate. No one returned correspondence. This was a few days ago. This morning around 5am, I called each company. Some didn't even have their voice mail set up. Others had a recording. Only OTDs had an answering service. The receptionist told me the morning crew would return my call soon. Within an hour I had a call and a competitive quote. I asked them to come to my house which is only a half mile away to get a more accurate estimate for a broken torsion spring. James came to my house about 2 hours earlier than the receptionist said he'd arrive. I was fine with that. Within a half hour he fixed the problem and was on his merry way. I was pleasantly surprised by how efficient and fast he was at his job. I would recommend OTDs because although they may not answer their email, they answer the phone even outside of normal business hours, the price was right for me, and James is a very competent technician, although it would be nice if he smiled more. read more

LIES!!!!! They advertise on their website and even their business card that they don't charge extra for Emergency service. That is a LIE!!!!!! I was told a emergency fee of $50 plus a $78 service charge with a total $128 that's just to LOOK at it. I can't even imagine what the actual repair/parts will cost. This was at 6:30pm. The rude lady on the phone told me that if I will wait till tomorrow to get my car out of the Garage. I won't be charged the $128 for the Emergency after hours FEE. We got a new garage door last spring then left for the season the day after installation. When we returned this season the cable came lose. It wasn't raised/lowered more than 20 times. We called for them to fix it and they want to charge $79 to check it. We said we have a coupon then for $45 that was given when purchased for Tune Up & Safety Check. They said "we are no long honoring those coupons." We asked to speak to Wade the owner, "he is gone for a month." DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. OK, I have become a serious "Wade from On Track" fan! We are DIY folk, usually. One of the two torsion springs that help lift our massive garage door snapped about 2 years after we bought the house. We knew we should replace both and I ordered the springs online and in about 45 minutes we replaced both -- EXCEPT I had ordered a good length but the wrong gauge of wire -- not strong enough for our massive door! Called On Track (July 2014) and Wade came out the same day, had the springs he needed already at hand, did the job much faster than we had, and even replaced a frayed lift cable and a broken track-guide wheel on one side for the price of the parts. In fact, when he tried the door he noticed something in the connector that he didn't like and fixed that as well, then lubed the worm gear so that the door runs much more smoothly and quietly than I have ever heard it run! All this speed and good workmanship for a very reasonable labor cost over the price I'd have had to pay to order just the springs online, plus his work is guaranteed. His truck setup is awesome -- everything folds out of the sides like a firetruck, and he has his own swaging station and rolls of cable so he can custom-build your lift cables right at the truck! I had no broken parts, both cables were off track and my springs needed to be tightened. Jeff did not try to sell me new parts or anything else I did not need. I cannot say enough about the service and professionalism of On Track Doors, Inc. from Cape Coral. I wasn't paying attention when I backed my golf cart at full speed into my garage and badly bent the bottom panel of the door and ripped it off the track because it hadn't fully risen. I called On Track and set up an appointment at a time of my convenience (8.00) 2 days later. The service man arrived at 07:45, evaluated the result of my dumbness, performed the repairs and departed by 08:40. I had expected to have to replace the entire door assembly but he told me it would be a simple repair and saved me quite a bit of money. DO NOT USE THIS company unless you don't care they leave a mess, greasy hand prints on your walls and exposed stapled wires on your ceiling AND dust and debris on your floor. The owner came out promptly to give us an estimate and even though they were months out I still decided to give them my business since I needed to flip my garage anyways. I made it very clear what the garage transformation would be like and not once was I mentioned to pre wire or run any wires anywhere . ON DAY OF INSTALLATION IT WAS NIGHTMARE, now in addition to paying them I have to pay someone else to fix and make the installation look professional. I wish I could give these guys a glowing review, but unfortunately I cannot. First issue is $160 to change a 7 foot belt. Next time I will order one online and do it myself. After the installation the tech had to come back because my door kept going up by itself after it closed. The tech came and I watched him "readjust" the force level and on top of that he tried to sell me new sensors for $60, which I knew clearly wasn't the issue. After he left, the door again came up by itself, so I went online and found the manual for my model unit and adjusted the force levels myself. Now I do not have a problem with the door opening when it goes down. For $160 belt change, I'd expect to not have to deal with all of that. As I said, next time I will do it myself. read more
