TERRIBLE service being picked up from lax. Although we prepaid (including tip, my mistake) we ended up waiting 25 minutes to be picked up, he arrived in a different car than promised, and when we arrived home the driver literally dumped our luggage on the grass between the street and the sidewalk, haphazardly. He didn't even have the courtesy to put them upright on the sidewalk. It was awful, and then he just drove off leaving a mom, a grandma, and a crying toddler to deal with a mess of jumbled suitcases. When we complained to Rafi all he had to say is that "technically it is curbside to curbside service". Well, it's service we'll never use again!! read more

Always a pleasure to be driven by Rafi. I have used Rafi multiple times. He is always on time and very efficient. I also appreciate that I don't have to be so detailed when I call him. He is excellent at keeping track of his clients flight statuses on his own - meaning I like that I don't have to constantly update him. All I do is give him my flight number and he keeps track of delays and what not so I do not have to worry about informing him of my fluctuating arrival times, etc... He also blew my mind with how well he knows every single street name and location. This last trip I needed to drop an unscheduled passenger off on my way to being taken home - she lives in the hills and I was sure I'd have to guide him to her home... Nope. I gave him the street name and knew exactly where it was. Very impressive. Rafi has dedicated his career to ensuring a smooth ride and transaction. His cars are clean, and very comfortable. Also - each time I have driven with him I have had to install car seats, etc... he is very helpful and patient with the fiasco that can turn into. I highly recommend Rafi. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Don't bother with this company - you may end up stranded at the airport like my parents. We confirmed their pick-up (just like we have done in the numerous trips they have provided car service), my parents followed their instructions at the airport only to be told, while waiting at the airport curb, to take an Uber because the driver had left. They offered no explanation at the time and then avoided answering calls or text messages. The former owner (Rafi) claimed to have been unavailable when I tried calling/texting numerous times while all of this was happening, yet he texted by parents to catch an Uber because the driver had left. The next day, the driver texted my parents claiming that his car broke down but that story did not match up with the communication that he was at LAX, indicated he was on his way after my parents followed the instructions, and then no one relayed that until the next day. Add to all of this that the driver, before ditching my parents, texted them that the rate would be $50 more than was agreed upon or advertised. The lack of consideration, failure to responsibility or provide a truthful explanation is unreal and ridiculous. read more

I have used Rafis car service for over 2 years now. This review is long overdue. I generally use then to and from the airport. They have always been on time, professional and helpful carrying bags to the car at pick up. In most cases they also have picked me up on a timely manner from the airport. I have waited longer than 10 minutes to be picked up at lax on only one occasion. I will give them the benefit and still give them the 5 stars since it was an isolated event. read more

I hired this business for a round trip to/from LAX in April, 2014 based on the very good reviews on Yelp. The owner, who was also the driver, seemed to be very reliable and knowledgeable taking us to the airport on time in spite of the high traffic. During the trip, we expressed our concern regarding the return trip, as we knew from other people's experiences that you are usually left in the airport to wait for at least an hour before you are picked up. He assured us that he will be on time, waiting for our arrival somewhere close to the airport and we shouldn't call him until we get our luggage and come to the curve. He also confirmed that he had our return information, which I actually listed myself on the form that I had to fill out on his website when I requested the service. When we came out from the terminal and called him, he acted like he didn't even know who we were, pretending that he had no information about our pick up. After a 16 hours flight from overseas and 2 hours in the customs, we had to struggle to hire a cab to get us back home. It seems this business has good reviews, but in my opinion he is no different from all the other ones who make big promises before you hire them. Their tactic is to let you wait in the airport for 40-50 minutes on the return trip because they have no guarantee that you will call them when you get back. So rather than taking the risk of showing up and not finding you there, they'll make you wait for them. I could even understand that if he would have told us to call him when we arrived. We had to wait to go through customs anyway so if we called him then he had enough time to show up, but he assured us there was not need for that. Too bad you can't count on these small business. If you want to spare yourself the frustration, hire Uber. They have the same prices and are way, way more reliable. read more
