This shop Preferred Auto Repair 810 Saraland Blvd S Ste C, Saraland, AL 36571 (251) 679-0323…read moreSalvador (Sal) Biondolillo Jr preformed work for me on 11/2/2016 on a 1981 Ford F100 replacing the radius arm bushings among other work. Approx. 4 years and 40,000 miles later I have the same problem with metal to metal that was my original problem. Those originals where there for approx. 35 years and 340,000 miles before they started going but where in the correct way. For anyone who does not know these are not just easily replaced you have to disassemble the whole front suspension to do them correct. So if he wants to think I took all that apart to put it back like you can see in the pictures plus the small rubbers are indented with the writing on the cup washer. He can deny it till the day he dies he knows its wrong along with anyone else that looks at the pictures. Like I told him brother if you can sleep at night knowing you have taken someone's hard earned money for work like that then I can to. I spoke with Salvador Biondolillo Jr on 1/11/2021 and he informed me that it was out of warranty and that he could fix it for approx. $400. I left not sure what to do since I know it should last must longer than it did. Well I started researching it and come to find out the wrong kit was used to start with. Well I did my research and even spoke with Moog on the phone just to verify I was purchasing the correct kit now. I replaced these on 1/23/2021 and documented everything as it came apart. As I disassembled the bushings it became very apparent what the problem was. The only part of the bushing kit that was assembled correctly was the cup washer at the front and the flat washer at the rear. The correct order should have been cup washer, large front bushing with metal insert, spacer ring, small rear bushing without insert, rear washer, nut. The small rear bushing w/o insert was installed to the cup washer in front. The large front bushing with metal insert was installed on the rear with the spacer ring behind that which is totally wrong. The spacer ring would not have fit properly if it was installed correctly since it was much larger than the one in the new kit designed to fit this truck. Those install instructions will be included if anyone wants to see. I spoke with Salvador Biondolillo Jr again on 1/25/2021 to see if they would reimburse me what he would have charged me to redo what they made a mess of to begin with. Sal informed me they would not at all do that and did not care to even see all the parts and pieces I have to prove it and the some odd 40 pictures to document it. He told me numerous times that if it had been installed incorrectly I would have already had problems. I will be posting this on my https://www.facebook.com/eddie.grimes.56 page with pictures if anyone is interested for proof that I am not just saying or doing this as he accused me of as he said he did not see it. I did not tell him on 1/11/2021 when I was there in person with the truck that he could not look at it. He never mentioned to me let me take a look at that and see what might be happening. After realizing what had been done and just blatantly wrong I knew I was not taking it back to them to fix and charge me another $400. Trusting no one to do it correctly I decided to do the job myself. As you will see the instructions are not at all hard to follow for the assembly of the bushings. He mentioned these bushings kit had changed/updated not sure what he meant but if you look them up on any parts store web site it plainly states the kit K8295 he used was through 10/80. The correct kit K8359 is used from 11/80. Truck date 6/81. I hate it has had to come to this but when work is performed this blatantly wrong and there not even willing to look at it with me then I cannot and will not be back and will not recommend them anymore as I have in the past. My father also lost money dealing with them that had to be redone but he never went back and I have no proof as he just dropped it and moved on. I have always had respect for Sal and dealt with him even back when he worked at O'Reilly auto parts. We did have words on the morning of 1/25/2021 since I tend to lose it when I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I am right and someone just blows you off without even looking at the facts for which I have since apologized to him for that. Just beware out there is all I can say. A lot of you know me and my father from the car shows and cruise-ins from the past 40 years. I am very straight up and would never try and screw anyone over at all in such a way. If for any reason someone sees something that does not line up with what I have stated here call me out by all means. If I am wrong I will accept that no problem. Sorry for such a long post but do not want to call someone out and not back it up with facts. If anyone reads this and wants to talk to me further or see me about this I welcome you to contact me Edward (Eddie) Grimes or my father Ed Grimes Jr.

The worst automotive shop I have ever had the displeasure of patronizing. Took a Chevy Avalanche in…read morefor a frontend alignment on a Wednesday. Vehicle was pulling severely to the left, so bad that it would put you into oncoming traffic in a matter of seconds. Took the vehicle back on the following Thursday and explained the situation. They made an attempt at a second alignment in which afterwards the vehicle was still pulling to the left though slightly better. Today, Friday, we took it back with the same issues. Was told by Sal that they have a $45 thousand dollar machine and that there must be something wrong with the tires. No, there is nothing wrong with the tires these guys just can't do alignments. Sal kept saying that I should drive his truck that it pulls too. Probably because they aligned it with their trash machine. Sal tries to realign the truck for the fourth and final time in which results in the vehicle continuing to put to the left. Sal states to get it aligned somewhere else and bring the print out of the alignment reads and he'll refund the service charge. Okay! I did just that. Took it to Pep Boys right across the street where the vehicle was aligned with no problems. Took the readings and receipt back to Sal showing where the vehicle was aligned. Sal says that he will not refund the $62 for the alignment because the numbers are the same. Not a man of his word for sure! I showed him that the camber was clearly negative on the left front and he still refused to refund the service charge. My advice save time and money and go to a professional.
