But last night we were handed a bill for $70 per person; for 3 of us, the bill came to was $215. Nothing extravagant. Three $6 beers, three appetizers and a few pieces of Sushi and Sashimi. And for the first time in memory, the sushi rice was not properly seasoned and sticky, which makes for a poorly prepared product. But this review is not about a single disappointing food experience which is certainly the exception. This is about the outrageous prices. It is our opinion that pure greed is on display here. They fill the restaurant several times over almost every evening. They won a Best Restaurant honor recently. So our guess is that the owners have figured that they can grab for more profit and if they lose a few patrons, no big deal. They just need to keep in mind that many of their close-by loyal neighbors who are on a retirement budget and frequented this establishment, and are coming to the same conclusion.
