My family and I were desperate for some Korean food after 5 days without it. This place not only fulfilled the craving, but was very satisfying! We tried to go to Gangnam first (at 7pm on a Thursday), but they were booked for the rest of the night. We walked into On Sapore della Corea and were lucky to get an open table right away. I got the jjangjangmyun, which I give a 4/5. Good flavor, thin noodles (seems to be Italian style? But not a bad thing). I tried some jjambbong, which was spicy and pretty good. The ddukboki was not a huge portion, but good for an appetizer. It wasn't that spicy, but has a spice that stays in your mouth even after you're done eating it. Overall not amazing ddukboki, but we ate it all. The bibimbap was simple and authentic, like the kind you would make an home. The seafood kimchi jeon was a good combo of crispy and falling apart, if you know what I mean. Overall, this was a welcome meal for us Korean-Americans from Virginia. Do yourself a favor if you're craving Korean food and just go here, you'll be thankful it's not pizza and pasta for a change and you'll have a good meal! Oh also, we tried to come here for lunch the day before 2-3pm, and we were turned away because they had used all their ingredients. So maybe call ahead and ask if they're open and available.

This is probably the best Korean food place I have found in Florence so far. The bibimbap was pretty good, and I enjoyed the tteokbokki. This is definitely my go-to place for Korean food.

FINALLY real Korean food in Florence! I've been living here for almost 20 years and have been waiting for this moment! This is a small place with about 8 or 10 tables, not an actual restaurant but more like a snack place or good for a quick meal, kind of like a take away (actually I think they do a lot of take away). It is actually run by real Koreans and the food is authentic. The menu is very limited, about 10 items, but it has some main staples that lovers of Korean cuisine crave: bibimbop, bulgogi, chap jae, dumplings, spicy rice cakes and Korean fried chicken, all served in paper/styrofoam containers with disposable utensils. Personally, I prefer places that have few dishes because you know that things are fresh and homemade. I had a long lunch there and noticed that just about all the other customers were Korean (or at least Asian) and there were very few Italians, which is a good sign. I had the bulgogi (marinated beef over rice) and it was tasty and came with a miso soup on the side. I'll definitely be back again soon! The prices are very reasonable, the portions are decent, the locale is simple and clean. This is the perfect place to go to for some real Asian food in Florence. Don't expect anything fancy but do expect hearty, authentic food!

They immediately cornered us to ask if we had a reservation, yet we watched them let other customers pass through the door right after us without asking them the same question. The waitresses seemed completely bored and visibly bothered whenever we asked for service. In fact, when we asked for assistance, the waitress seemed irritated. It was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional.Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the toxic attitude. The beef was incredibly tough, and the rest of the meal lacked flavor--likely because the hostile atmosphere ruined any chance of enjoying it. On a hot evening, the only thing welcoming about this place was the air conditioner. The air was cold, and the service was even colder.I will never go back to this establishment, not even for a glass of water. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a warm, respectful, and pleasant dining experience in Florence.

Upon arrival, we were told we needed to order atleast two portions of meat equating to $100 euro if we were to sit down and weren't allowed to order any korean dishes off the menu without doing so. I have never experienced this type of predicament where I had no autonomy over what I were to order. I was looking to order dishes like bibimbap and jigae stew which they advertise on their menu. Ultimately we ended up leaving and it wasn't a pleasant encounter, it kind of felt like they were trying to rip us off as tourists.

MAY 2023 VISIT This…read moreis absolutely the most horrendously owned business I have ever encountered. Yes - 1 saw ALL the negative reviews (from TripAdvisor) about the owner; but being Korean and being on our honeymoon/missing some food back home, my husband I thought we would give her the benefit of the doubt. I could not have been more incorrect. This lady was SO nasty BEFORE we even entered. Describing her as nasty would be being kind. We could see her giving us terrible looks from inside as we approached and once inside I thought maybe things might be different but nope. We literally exited as soon as we took 2 steps inside. There was an issue with her door opening when we attempted to open it so the owner comes over and opens the door, we can see there is not ONE patron inside. I ask her in Korean because of this (just to make sure to not be rude in case we were imposing during a break or lunch hour) and are immediately met with the response of "CAN YOU NOT READ???" back in Korean. L o l. Then proceeds to look my husband and I up and down and close the door on us and walk away. We were in such shock we answered right away we'd be leaving. This encounter is so ridiculous it's laughable now but still mind boggles me and is more disappointing that this is the type of representation of Korean cuisine or hospitality in Florence. If you do try and take a chance and you have the unfortunate luck of running into this miserable owner, don't fret too much. Just next door on the corner is a DELICIOUS panino spot where both guys working the stand are truly kind and more importantly serve great food. Don't ruin your day with this establishment or worse the older lady with the awfully heavy makeup on and AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You've been warned. Complete embarrassment of a Korean establishment. ***Also would like to note in the week we have been in this city as well as Rome, this is the only negative encounter we've had. : )

We wanted to eat Chinese food that night and luckily were able to find this spot in our search. They are located in Florence's "Chinatown". There are Asian markets and a couple of different restaurants that serve Asian food. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. Staff was very nice; we had great conversations with them ;) Food: we got cauliflower griddle, ma po tofu, beef ramen in szechuan special sauce, japanese ramen with pork & boiled fish with pickled cabbage. Their menu is pretty extensive... not gonna lie, it was a bit overwhelming, 13 pages BUT much appreciated. Lots of options and you're bound to find something you'll like. Overall, the food wasn't too bad. I don't expect to find the best Chinese restaurant in Europe. The boiled fish with pickled cabbage was very salty and oily. I had the beef ramen & it was okay but again, very oily... wasn't spicy just oily. If you're a soup drinker, this soup is not really drinkable. Ma po tofu was also extremely salty. So salty that it tasted spicy. I would only suggest getting the cauliflower. I am rating them a 4/5 because finding a Chinese restaurant was actually pretty hard in Florence.

No one asked for them! And none of the other tables got them. I was so furious and annoyed by this disgusting racism that I said no repeatedly for them to take them off the table. After that our food came out cold and they never came back to check on us. They also never brought our dumplings. I went to the manager and he just laughed under his breath in front of me. This is a sad establishment and unfortunate. Never go to this place or support this type of piss poor performance. You're better off going somewhere else.
