We had Ken's Inspection in our home recently for an inspection for the buyers of our home and had a…read morevery bad experience. The report that he gave was perfectly fine (we had our home pre-inspected and everything found on our first report, he included in his). My issue we had with Ken was what happened during the inspection itself. First off, I have security cameras throughout my house - we have these so I can keep an eye on our 1 year old puppy while we're at work. Whenever motion is detected in the house I get an alert on my phone so the day of the inspection I got the alert that someone had entered the kitchen. When I opened the app to verify it was the inspector I watched him walk right up to the camera and turn it to face the wall. Then I watched him do the same thing to the security camera in our living room. Last I checked I own this house and for someone coming in to simply do an inspection they should have nothing to hide and therefore should not have turned the cameras around. So this is my first issue. My second issue was my oven was left on. Thankfully I was planning on being home immediately following the agreed upon time of the inspection but had I not been, my oven would have been on all afternoon. Lastly, I found splattered blood throughout my home. The inspector must have cut his finger on something and left a trail of blood throughout my house, including in my toddlers bedroom. Like I said, we had our home pre-inspected by a different inspector and had the most wonderful experience. However I cannot same the same for this company.

We retained Home Insulation Co. www.homeinsulationcompany.com (who did an excellent job by the way) to conduct the insulation job and they in turn recommended Mike with Inspect it Right. Mike did a complete inspection and found enormous holes in the duct work that our buyer's inspector obviously missed before we bought the house. He did a complete energy audit which was very enlightening. We also have a comprehensive written report that will go with the house. Mike was very patient and explained what he was doing and why. I'm sorry that we did not retain Inspect it Right for our initial inspection, but should we ever need to have one done in the future, Mike will be our only choice. It is clear he is working for you, the homeowner, instead of some realtor commission. 6 stars if they were available.
