Our service associate is professional, reliable, and very thorough. I also appreciate that they use pet and family friendly treatments since we have a dog. That said... I'm not convinced the pest control is working. In my previous home which I battled with spiders. Once I hired a pest control company, they didn't completely disappear but when I saw them they were not alive. With Northwest, even after treatments, I'm still seeing more activity than expected. I keep bug spray in multiple rooms, which shouldn't feel necessary. The only thing that seems consistently effective are the sticky traps, they definitely catch bugs. I understand some environments have more pests than others, but I'd expect to at least see some results after treatment. Right now, it's hard to tell if the service isn't as effective or if these Middle Georgia spiders are just built different. We're sticking with them for now and hoping next season brings fewer uninvited guests.

There are lots of stray animals and we found 2 dead mice in the backyard. They sent Mr James out (I think that was his name) and I was sold just by the way he spoke to me. He didn't try to get me by scaring me into business. He assured me there wasn't activity inside and what we could do just in case. When the tech came he did the same and I loved it! A week later there was one a LOT closer, so of course I freaked. In addition, there were still ants all over the porch, in doorways, and a few in the bedrooms. I called the tech, who was super helpful to get me scheduled who then got me to office staff. She was rude, kept cutting me off and I tried brushing it off thinking maybe she had a hard day. Well, 3 weeks later I tried to call back for ants, and because of her attitude when trying to reschedule service, I just canceled altogether. I'm not going to allow anyone to make me feel like I'm an inconvenience to be a paying customer especially when what I'm requesting is within my contract.

In 2017, I discovered termite damage in the garage. I was told the chemicals used don't last 10 years around here. They agreed to repair the damage, but I would be required to retreat the house to prevent further damage - another $800. A year later after several unreturned calls, I finally got the company's repairman out to the house. The damage was much more extensive than expected. The repairman stated that this was about 7 years of termite damage. I was shocked and angry to learn this as my house was 7 years old when I discovered the damage. Was my home ever even treated originally? Now, I'm having trouble getting the repairs finished. The company's repairman is the son in law of the company's owner, and apparently will fix the problem when we gets around to it. Today was the third last minute cancellation in the last several months after I've taken three days off work to be present during repairs. I was told that if I'd have let him come when I wasn't at home, that the job would be done by now. Does anyone blame me for wanting to SEE the actual repairs in this case? I called National this morning, and the manager's response was that he didn't control the repairman's schedule. He was supposed to have the owner contact me, but that hasn't happened yet. I asked why my repairs were less important to them than the other job the repairman prioritized over mine today. The manager said he'd talk to the owner when he got to the office, but wasn't going to call him. Again, apparently it's an inconvenience to discuss a customer being treated so poorly. Unacceptable!

Unfortunately,…read morethe exterminating people are correct, effective and persistent termite chemicals used in the past such as DDT, chloridane, and malathion have all been banned due to their toxicity, and what is currently used is a non-toxic boric acid solution, which dissipates/loses effectiveness fairly quickly, especially in a wet or frequently wetted area (like basements and garages). It is fairly common for the initial treatment of the ground under and around a new home, done during house construction, to be rained on repeatedly before the foundation is even poured, or before the house can be "dried in", and as such it is of debatable value anymore. It is highly likely that termites moved into your home about the same time you did. Damage will not be evident until the termites have breached the living space. I realize this is of little comfort, but unfortunately this is the problem with living in the deep south, we have termites here and they really want to eat your home. National does a good job and has been in business for a long time. It is unfair to blame them for conditions they cannot control.

A couple of them wouldn't call back, and the others would only tell me the materials that they would use and how they would install it. Any sort of customizing outside of what they normally do increased the cost dramatically. When I called Apple Enclosure and explained what we wanted, she told me that the owner would like to schedule an appointment to come out free of charge and look at the project with me so we can discuss all of our options. When Toby arrived, he was very interested in helping us customize the project to achieve what we were looking for. He took the time to explain all of the different options including materials available, different types of screened enclosures and the costs associated with all of them. Once we came up with the idea he told me that he would have a quote to me in the next couple days. The very next morning, he emailed me a detailed quote with everything that we discussed and it was customized to our taste AND cheaper than his competitors! When his crew arrived to start the project, we were surprised at how professional and clean they were. The first day they came in and framed up almost the whole patio and had everything ready to go for the next day when they arrived. The next morning they got right after it and finished it up shortly after lunch. We were very impressed with the professionalism as well as the cleanliness of the install team. They went above and beyond what we expected to make sure that every piece of metal and dust was picked up and swept before they left. The fit, finish and look of their completed work is absolutely astonishing! I'm glad we trusted Toby and his team and will only look to them in the future when needing an enclosure of any type!
