Lorne the manager is always very knowledgeable and helpful. The hours are fantastic. The gate access is 7 days a week. Even open on holidays. Then don't have 24 hr. access. But they can adjust hours for needs. Automatic payment option is great so if I forget they handle it for me. My storage locker is a drive up, so that's coinvent. The lot is very clean. The new LED lighting is very nice. It's a great location right off a main road way (Fruitvale Blvd). Easy access to Hwy. 12.

From start to finish, our entire experience using the U-Box point-to-point move was flawless. We…read morerented three U-Boxes that were delivered to our rural property in Centerville, WA. We had previously used ABF Freight for self-packing long-distance point-to-point moving, but ABF would not pick up from the remote Centerville address. We heard about U-Box from a friend who had a great experience, so we decided to give it a try. Most importantly, they serviced both the rural pickup location and an equally challenging rural delivery location in Lampasas, TX (over 2000 miles away). All the drops and pickups were easily coordinated with the Yakima and Killeen teams. When our U-Boxes were in transit, we worked with a helpful nationwide dispatch center. Our contents arrived just as we packed them, undamaged, and on schedule. We were able to avoid an extra month of storage by scheduling carefully on both ends of the move. Overall, this was much easier and less expensive than renting a large truck and driving it ourselves (we've done that in the past also). No ramps needed- great for those large heavy items like shop equipment! We also got two dozen blankets per U-Box (way more than needed) included in the rental, which saved even more money. Kudos to the Yakima team for friendly, professional, and flexible customer service. Moving is a big chore and they made it a lot easier. Highly recommend, especially for rural addresses and long-distance point-to-point moves.

She could see that we had the correct code (but had forgotten the # and *), so she went inside and wrote everything down for us and brought it back out. I attempted to stop by the location in Yakima this morning. I pulled and waited for several…read moreminutes, then a guy that seemed like he didn't know anything softly asked if I needed help. I told him I had not been there before and asked what to do. He said people normally park out on the street and they bring them a bin. I rattled off what I had in my trailer, with about 2k lbs of steel and iron in it, and he said he wasn't sure what you take and would ask someone. I told him I checked the website and verified, but ok. Another guy came walking out a min or so later and said, "move your car", I told him I was waiting for someone to check my load and gestured to the fact that I was currently blocked in. He told me another customer needed to leave (who could easily pull out without me moving) and in a very hard, almost yell told me "your going to move right now". I told him I was going to leave, never come back, and leave bad reviews and he just walked off, not caring at all. Meanwhile the 1st guy stood there dumbfounded. I got some help from another patron to squeeze back out and went to another place down the road. I was told by others not to go here because the people suck, I thought I would find out for myself... they were right.

I've used storage units in many places over the years. Yakima Mini Storage has 3 locations very…read morenear each other. I had a small unit at the 48th Ave location a few years ago and currently have a larger unit at the 58th Ave location. First of all, a person answers the phone when you call or if you leave a VM your call gets returned very soon. Each location has an office so someone will meet you where you wish to rent a unit so you can see it before committing. They are very professional in that you fill out paperwork, have insurance to cover any losses and have security cameras covering the whole area. They supply the lock ($10 charge), which is placed in an area impossible to reach with bolt cutters. The units I've rented have been very clean. Some units have lighting and some don't so it's good to ask about that if it's important to you. Angie and Bo are very pleasant and helpful with any inquiries. The security is top notch.
