Great mix of bbq and Philippine foods! Husband and wife trailer that's easy to access. Very clean as well, we highly recommend!

After breaking up with another Filipino establishment due to their horrific business practices, I…read moreknew I had to find another place that had housemade beef lumpia on the menu. This is a difficult feat, as most lumpia Shanghais are pork-filled; some offer chicken, but, honestly, it's just not flavorful. I saw that N &N, aka Nena's (on their sign), has a hot food bar as well as catering services. I double-checked that they had beef lumpia and made sure that they wouldn't run out by the time we got there (since it would be bit of a trek). You make your way to the end of the market, and you place your order(s); lumpia is made fresh-to-order, and I could see some of the staff filling and handrolling the lumpias in the kitchen - such a good sign! The lumpias came out piping hot, and I loved that N &N serves it with the sweet chili sauce (instead of that other weird sauce that other automatically include) - these were deep-fried, crispy, and the beef filling was flavorful and garlicky. There are also frozen lumpias that you can fry up at home, but the convenience of eating them right away is a plus! I'd love to try out their lunch combos and their empanadas on the next visit. Staff were very kind and sweet; the market itself had a good modest selection of items, and it was well-organized and clean. Payment is taken up at the cashier, located at the front. Located at the Saint Mary's Square Shopping Center, there's plenty of parking in the large plaza lot. +tasty beef lumpias! +friendly service +located at the Saint Mary's Square Shopping Center +ample parking in large plaza lot

Upon arrival, with a little hesitation, I decided to try the pancit as well. I had been meaning to try it for quite some time as it's one of their popular menu items, with nothing but time to spare why not today? Best decision I've made in quite some time haha. Of the various protein options I decided on the beef which was thin and tender just as I was hoping it'd be. The dish in it's entirety was flavorful, not the least bit spicy (as some Asian dishes are known to be), included bits of cabbage, carrots, red and green peppers giving you a nice crunch to compliment the textures of its accompaniments. It's plenty for one or even sharing. Need I mention the lechon? It was impecable per usual. Not too fatty nor greasy, just meaty and crispy. Being the Hispanic that I am, I'll best describe it as a cousin to the chicharrón, slightly different but both delectable in their own ways. If you haven't been to Nena's, do try it. Why not today? *My lucky day! Not only did I receive great food but I got a free 2025 dog calander at the register. Just thought I should show off and mention it lol.

I've been wanting to try James for a few years now and FINALLY got the chance today!…read more After a long day at work, I called my order in and made the drive to the restaurant. James is a local establishment that features traditional Filipino dishes. My personal favorites are pancit, adobo, and lumpia. The restaurant is located in the back of a shopping center that is currently being renovated. I've come to the shopping center dozens of times, but never realized James was there until a few years ago. The restaurant is so quaint and cozy. I felt like I was in someone's home and they were offering me a nice home cooked meal. The servers were very kind. I bought my own bag for my food (the restaurant charges for bags). My order was ready almost right away. I was handed my food and I proceeded on my way home. I settled on the Canton style pancit. It had chicken, shrimp and deep fried pork belly laid on the top. It originally comes with egg noodles, but I asked to substitute them with rice noodles. The rice noodles were well seasoned- I didn't need any fish sauce, pepper or any other seasonings. The shrimp were baby shrimp, which was fine with me. There were small diced pieces of chicken that were tender and well seasoned. I have to say that I'm not the biggest fan of pork belly. It's a bit on the fatty side, but it does add flavor to the dish. As you can see in my photos, I did eat most of the pork belly pieces. The lumpia was delicious- lightly crispy on the outside, with delicious pork filling on the inside. It came with a sweet & sour-like sauce that was mild and tasty. My meal was delicious and I ate it ALL! As I type this review, I don't feel extremely full and weighed down, which is great! With tip, I paid $24 and some change. I would definitely go back to try some of the other offerings. This is a great spot if you are craving Filipino cuisine that tastes homemade. Solid four gold stars!
