I don't write reviews on goods or services unless they are really bad or really good. And now The Rest of the Story.... I decided I wanted to go from a 30 yr fixed to a 15 yr fixed and pull some cash out. Having been a mortgage loan officer and California real estate licensee for 20 years, I know the business. And because of that I know that my situation with my finances, credit, stability, etc is what we used to refer to when I was in the business as a "slam dunk" deal. I decided to contact my current mortgage holder, Freedom Mortgage for this need because I had been with them for over 5 years. What a mistake that was! Long story short, Freedom Mortgage company was inept, unprofessional and non-communicative. After 3 months of playing with this company, I ended up e-mail blasting 15 top level executives to include the CEO to try to get some action. They still could not pull it together! A friend of mine told me his son had just had a great experience with Tina Burney at Premier Mortgage Resources so I called her. After talking with her, I decided to pull my application from Freedom and to reapply with Tina. I found her very professional, knowledgeable and fast! On May 6th she took my application. On May 8th she had an approval pending the title report. We signed our docs on May 22nd and the deal was funded, recorded and wire transfer in the bank was complete on May 28th. So what Freedom Mortgage couldn't get done in over 3 months, Tina Burney got done in 22 days start to finish! Bottom line is this. If you want your loan process to go smooth and fast, go to Tina. And no I do not get any kickbacks for this! She is just that good!

No closing after lost loan option, again attempt to secure a loan..they say wait a month for a new program, never hear back from Affinity- after calling about my complaint that I paid for the appraisal he informs me that the Appraisal came out low so he couldn't do anything about that. I still have the email where he said even if it came up short we can get a loan. waste 4 months waiting on this Company and 400 dollars on an appraisal that another bank cant use. When finally approved, the "investor" apparently was dragging their feet funding. Then I was encouraged to move the loan to another investor however that investor would require me to pay, can't remember, either an eighth or a quarter point higher, but would get the loan funded and closed. Finally out of frustration I agreed to do this but asked that as a good faith move on the part of Affinity to refund my appraisal fee. They agreed to do so but when I got the pre-closing statement, no such adjustment was made. So spoke with the title company and they called Affinity and he told them he would send me a check. The loan has been closed now for a month and after two requests, one by email, one by phone, no check. Update: Well, I got the check, about two months after the close. I won't speculate what drove it. I hope my experience is the exception, not the rule.
