I brought my car in for PPF, ceramic coating, and ceramic window tint. What stood out right away was how thorough Armando was during the initial consultation. Before he even gave me a quote, he carefully inspected the car for any paint flaws and actually pointed out some imperfections I didn't even realize were there. Instead of just wrapping over them, he took the time to correct as much as he could before starting the PPF install. The quality of the work is top-tier. The PPF looks clean and precise, the ceramic coating has made cleaning the car ridiculously easy (water just slides right off), and the ceramic tint was done perfectly. Armando is real, transparent, and super easy to talk to. No pressure, no sales gimmicks, just honest advice and quality work. The wrap job is best in the Bay, everything is so tucked, no one believes it's wrapped. I have to open the doors to show them. The finish is incredible. The staff are top notch professionals. I learned the hard way that not all highly rated Yelp shops deliver real quality. After going to another popular place, a friend pointed out several issues in the work that I had completely missed. Never again! I would much rather pay for top-tier service and have peace of mind than worry about fixing problems later. Most recently, I had a front PPF and tint done on my Tesla, and the results were flawless. OCD Detailing is one of the few places capable of tinting the entire Tesla roof using a single piece, with no seams, and it looks incredible. They were also kind enough to help install hub caps I purchased separately and recommended a great source for blacked-out emblems. My car turned out beautiful. The only downside is that I live in San Francisco, so the drive is a bit out of the way, but it was absolutely worth it. It was a great offer, so I decided to give them a try. From the very beginning, Leo made the process quick and easy. I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00 AM to the Hayward location and received a text just a few hours later letting me know it was ready for pickup. I went in with an open mind and honestly wasn't expecting too much because I didn't want to set my expectations too high and be disappointed. When Leo brought my vehicle out, he explained that I shouldn't roll the windows down for 3-5 days and that I should allow the tint about three weeks to fully cure. When I first got into my vehicle, the front windshield was very hazy and difficult to see through. Since I understood that the tint was still curing--and this wasn't my first time having windows tinted--I figured it was part of the process and that it would eventually clear up. After giving it a few days and allowing my vehicle to sit in the sun to help expedite the curing process, the windshield did eventually clear up. However, I noticed that there were wrinkles along the corners, and all of the windows--including the back windows--had noticeable pockets of air bubbles throughout the film. I explained my frustration to my husband, and he reached out to customer service on our behalf. Our concerns were then forwarded to management, and that's when Raniyah stepped in. I have to give Raniyah a HUGE amount of credit. She was incredibly pleasant, understanding, and genuinely determined to make things right. She explained that the tint was covered by a lifetime warranty and assured me that the windows would be corrected. She also made sure that my vehicle would be taken care of by a master tint technician. A couple of days ago, I returned to have the tint redone and was once again greeted by Leo. I showed him the issues, and he was surprised to see how many air bubble pockets were throughout the windows. He reassured me that the master tinter would take care of everything. I emphasized that I wanted them to take their time and do it right, and I came back to pick up my vehicle once the work was completed. And let me tell you... WOW! My tints look absolutely immaculate and beautifully done! The difference is incredible, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. A BIG thank you to the entire Jet Black Tints team for listening to my concerns, standing behind your work, and making the situation right. Everyone I interacted with was professional, pleasant, and helpful throughout the process. A special thank you to Raniyah and Leo for making what could have been a frustrating experience feel completely hassle-free and efficient. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the Hayward location today. My car is brand new,…read moreand I take very good care of it. I originally booked my appointment at the Fremont location, which I honestly wish I had kept, but decided to switch to Hayward. Before my appointment, I called and was quoted $199 flat and was told to purchase the deal online. When I arrived, I explained this to the employee. Before I purchased it, he went over the different types of tint they offered. I specifically told him I still wanted to stick with the $199 option I was quoted over the phone and saw online. Instead of letting me purchase the deal online, he pulled out his card reader and charged me $221.50. I initially assumed the difference was tax, but when I received my receipt, there was no tax listed, so I still don't understand why I was charged more than the price I was quoted. That was immediately a red flag. Once they took my car in, I noticed there was one person working on the cars who appeared visibly very sick, to the point where he looked like he should have been home resting. That was another red flag, but I still gave the shop the benefit of the doubt and continued with the service. Once my car was finished today, I inspected it and immediately noticed a long scratch on the exterior of my passenger-side window that was not there before. Again, my car is brand new. When I showed it to them, I was told they only work on tint from the inside. However, the outside of the glass can still be used during the tinting process when the film is positioned, measured, cut, or shaped. Of course they denied causing it, but I know the condition my car was in before I brought it in. I also noticed a small white dot underneath/in the tint. I asked the employee to come outside and look at it. He didn't know what it was and tried scraping it off, but it wouldn't come off. He took my car back inside, and when he brought it back out, the spot was gone. When I asked what it was, he said he didn't know, "maybe dirt." Then, later TODAY, I noticed another issue: a long dark/uneven line running across the tint on my back-seat window. I literally drove all the way back to the shop the same day to show them. I showed Leo the line in person, and he told me to give it 3-4 days to see if it disappears as the tint cures. He said if it is still there, he will replace the entire piece of tint. I do appreciate Leo offering to correct that issue if it doesn't resolve. Unfortunately, after leaving and continuing to inspect my car the same day, I discovered multiple scratches and scuff marks on the BLACK INTERIOR TRIM directly next to the windows/door openings. I took photos and videos documenting everything. This is especially frustrating because when I questioned the exterior window scratch, I was told they only work from the inside, yet now I'm finding scratches/scuffs on the inside of my brand-new car, directly around the areas where the tint work was performed. I brought in a brand-new vehicle expecting it to be treated with care. Instead, I was charged more than the price I was quoted, found debris underneath the tint that had to be corrected, found a long scratch on the exterior glass, had to drive back to the shop the same day because of a line across another window's tint, and then discovered multiple scratches/scuffs on the interior trim. I usually take my vehicles to the Fremont location and have never had issues like this. This was my first time using the Hayward location, and unfortunately I really regret changing my appointment. I'm extremely disappointed and upset, especially because this is a brand-new vehicle. I have photos and videos from today documenting what I found. I'm giving the shop an opportunity to address these issues and will update my review depending on how everything is handled.
