I drive 30 minutes each way once per month for the BBQ here because they do it how I like it. Worth…read morethe time and trip. Get there early or you risk items being sold out. I've seen the second person in line clear out their ribs in one giant order. I've also had a couple instances where they were a bit later to show up/open at 11AM, so pay attention to their socials if you don't see the truck. I think these guys are making some of the best pork ribs in the city. I love a flavorful, dry bark not smothered in sauce. The meat is tender, but still sticks to the bone a bit. Damn near perfection. Their sausage links explode with flavor as well. The brisket is very solid, but ask for the fatty cuts if they have it. I've had a few pieces of their lean brisket that teeter on the less melt in your mouth side. The oxtails are excellent, but a bit expensive for the amount of meat you get (that's more of a cost of oxtail problem than a them problem). They also tend to sell out fast along with the dino ribs. I absolutely love the mac and cheese here. Sharp, flavorful and creamy. The baked beans and collard greens are satisfactory, but I think somewhat under seasoned. As far as ambiance goes, you're on a street corner in front of an Inglewood Ralph's. There are other food vendors around and even a mobile barber. I love the vibe and chatting with locals in line, but if you're the type of person who is scared of a little culture, skip this one and leave the good stuff for the rest of us :)

The thought of the two teaming up seems unattainable but it's been done and it's called Dulanville Food Truck! Yep, they serve up delicious eats from both establishments on one food truck! It's a cute truck that I was able to try at Infatuation's Eeeeatsfest. Of course what they offer depends on where you are catching them, but they will always have some form of that signature Prince's hot chicken recipe on the menu and if you're smart, you'll get that. I also highly recommend their Mac & Smokin' Cheese if it's on offer...omggggg. Mac & cheese is one of my guilty pleasures, childhood classic comfort foods, and this version is fabulous. Creamy pasta baked with four cheeses but having that signature soul punch with a dash of Hotville's sweet heat seasoning. Obsessed! I saw they're going to be at Winterfest today so am going to try to swing by for some more yums! You can see where they are on their website or ig! :)

Hotville, founded by the family that invented the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (Howlin' Ray's is…read morean imitator), teamed up with LA soul food giant Dulan's to open a food truck: Dulanville. It's excellent. I hadn't had Hotville since their brick & mortar space closed last year. Other than the food coming out of a truck, nothing seems to have changed. I tried the Dulanville truck for the first time when they were at Three Weaver's Brewery. I had the fish sandwich, fries, collard greens, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The fish sandwich was spicy, fresh, and delicious, and the portion size was very generous. The sides were tasty, and the desserts worth ordering. I really enjoyed the banana pudding, which had nice slices of fresh banana and was topped with a Pepperidge Farm chessman cookie. The peach cobbler was really good, too. Service was friendly - just like it was at the brick and mortar space. And the wait time was short. I'm glad Hotville is back - even if in food truck form - and look forward to eating with them again.
