If the shoddy exterior didn't put you off the coffee surely will, looks like they put as much effort into the decor as into staff training. Alarm bells should have been ringing when I saw the half attempt at an outdoor seating area, but I thought let's not judge a book by its cover. However inside is worse. The staff member who greeted me was smiley enough but she couldn't make a coffee to ace her life, the look of panic when I thought about ordering a crepe was enough to put me off. I stuck to a latte and sandwedge on her advice but it seemed she'd never made a coffee before. It does strike me as odd that anyone should open a business that coffee must be a large part of yet employ some one who though has obviously been stuck in the cafe trade for many years has managed to avoid learning anything about coffee. The ciabatta was undercooked and soggy the coffee was like warm and had almost no trace of coffee in it, and the price was far to high even if the coffee and sandwege had been good. Failing on every level, it really is a mystery why there wouldn't be an employee on the premesis who could make a decent cup of coffee or who knew one side of a bread knife from another. A sweets shop here is just what the area needs but this place is a complete dive. read more
