OMG Baked Potatoes was visiting The Ballard House in Katy, and provided food for the large group of Sam's Club employees volunteering, all The Ballard House staff, as well as all the residents at The Ballard House. The choices were many - from brisket to seafood to surf & turf baked potatoes. I opted for the seafood version, and it was absolutely delicious! Enough to feed 2 people per serving. Several others I spoke to afterward said much the same about their choices. OMG Baked Potatoes was most definitely a hit. Very friendly owners, lively music and cute food truck. I ordered the barbecue brisket potato. It could've just been an off day for them but my potato was so overcooked it was more like a mashed potato. Also it did not come with "the works", like most of the brisket potatoes I've had, it was only brisket and sauce. read more

*Black owned food truck* We were going for something new and different, and we attempted another spot like theirs, but they weren't serving certain things and were out of other things, and I suggested we try them instead! I'm so glad I did, too. The owner was there taking orders, and he was the friendliest man ever. He gave suggestions of his menu faves, and he gave us advice on our new business endeavors out in Houston. He was really a nice man! We got 3 different options 2 baked potatoes and 1 pasta dish. OMG, IT WAS GOOD!!!! They didn't skrimp on items, and everything was hot, fresh, and seasoned well. He has a pretty extensive menu for a food truck. I would definitely return! read more

My family and I love OMG Baked Poatatoes! We have been rocking with them for some years now. I follow them on Instagram and pop up on their food truck when they are in the missouri city area. Their service is A+. They are always super friendly and have your food ready in 20 minutes tops. I always get the steak and shrimp potato but today my husband and I got the surf and turf. The food is sooo good and seasoned to perfection. You get soo much food you can definitely eat it for lunch and save the other half for later. First let's start with the ambiance. I went to the food truck location outside of target. It's Texas, it's September, it's hot. Not much they can do about that. Mad respect to them cooking in this heat lol. Service was great. The owners are helpful when taking your order, offering recommendations, etc.. not much else they could do. The food was good. My potato was banging. I had the OMG 4 and it was stacked. Very nice flavor. The only meat I wasn't a huge fan of was the rib, but everyone has their preferred rub/taste. My chicken also was not hot, nothing a microwave couldn't fix. Overall, still delicious 4/5 My sister had the seafood bake, and for some reason her food wasn't piping either. Warm but not hot. Also I think for the price of the plate, I don't know if I love tilapia being the choice of meat on top. The shrimp, crawfish, broccoli etc was fine! We'd give this one a 3.5/5. We're coming back. They were out of the oxtail potato and that's the one I'm itching to try. read more

OMG, this is exactly what you say when you go to the OMG baked potato food truck. Pile on the meat so so good. The OMG baked potato food truck I found them on Hillcroft at the beltway in the Home Depot Center, Friday Saturday and Sunday they there. and you know what to get oxtail, hallelujah, four meat baked potato. Get into this BAKED POTATO! This is the steak and shrimp baked potato and when I tell you it is BIG - WHEW - literally puts the OMG in its name! Filled with broccoli and cheese, this potato is not for the weak, and I know because it took me three days to eat it. I had to share with my cousin and I was still full to capacity and my appetite was satisfied. I need to try the Lord Have Mercy next time! The food is EXCELLENT, but I would not suggest doing business with them. On 2 occasions, they dipped out of the events due to another company (food) showing up on site, which was not under anyone's control or was it discussed when hired. Never did we see a bill of sale so that we could be compensated as the deal we agreed on. It happened one time and we decided, because the food was so good, to give them a second chance, and they made their quota and left the event. I love the food but I really don't like bad business deals. Sorry NOT sorry read more

Apparently I needed to follow the OMG Baked Potatoes on Instagram to know their location. When arrived I was met with a warm smile and some suggestions on what to try. The prices clearly have changed because the bill was $50 for two potatoes that only have chicken and sausage on them. The flavor and seasoning was decent. However the container was filled with boiled potatoes, no actual potato stuffed to the rim. So the texture resembled soggy boiled potatoes that had no butter or salt. Happen to be in this area the other day and had a craving for a loaded potato (random, I know). So I originally planned to go to this other business, but I got on Yelp to pull up directions and OMG popped up. I was immediately drawn in by all the yummy pictures! Until that day, I had never heard of or seen this food truck, so I had to try. Considering I was less 5 minutes away made the decision even easier. They did not disappoint, I ordered the chicken broccoli potato and added shrimp. My total was roughly $17, which I wasn't too pleased about, but amount they serve is pretty filling. Very very flavourful. My dish was heavy on the garlic, so if your not a garlic fan, you may want to choose something else. **On the weekends, they're located at the Houston Grub Park near NRG Stadium!** Worth all the hype that you see on this Yelp page!! My friend and I took a little trek from Southwest Houston just to experience this on a Saturday. We mistakenly went to their address listed on google at first, but then I messaged them on Instagram and they were quick to respond with the Houston Grub Park address. We got there early and were the first ones in line! Wish I could've tried more on the menu, but our hearts called out to the Lord Have Mercy Potato (I believe it has a bit of everything - crawfish, sausage, chicken, steak, bacon wrapped shrimp on top!) and it was worth every single bite!! Uh hello! This was the best baked potato I've had in a while. Conveniently they were in my area in Target's parking lot, betttt. I showed them a pic from their Instagram page of what I wanted and they made it happen. Perfect service I look for every time. Chopped beef tasted spicy and the baked potato tasted like water down mashed potatoes . That combination did not do it for me 15$ wasted . Came here for the first time on 10/9 and I'm impressed. This place is a gem. The customer service was top notch, definitely a southern vibe. Not to mention, black owned! The wait time was a little long, but nothing extreme. I know they was in there whipping it up lol so by all means, take ya time. The parking is a little different so they'll have you park across from the truck so they can wave at you when it's ready. Oh, and they accept debit/credit cards! Definitely recommend and will spend my dollars here any day. read more

Bought OMG 4 Meat baked potato and it was absolutely delicious. The potato was soft and buttery and had some cheese. The sausage had a great savory taste with the potato. We decided on OMG Baked Potatoes for moving day lunch. Now, I knew better than that as lunch selection but let's just carry on LOL. Excellent customer service! I called prior to arrival to make my order, greeted with a friendly voice on the end. Answered my questions and placed my order. I made my way, short drive from the house and found the truck. Food was waiting for me. The food traveled well and was super tasty. Now I need a nap and I got all this stuff to move SMH. Everyone enjoyed, especially Dad. Had a good experience from this food truck . They came to the "Ranch at Sienna ". The young lady taking orders had great personality and the food was well seasoned. I enjoyed the attraction from the music and the set up . Only wish my food was hotter with heat . I hope they come back soon . I got the seafood potato, my husband got the steak and shrimp potato. I ordered the Seafood Baked potato and it was topped with shrimp, fish, crawfish seasoned to perfection and topped with a creamy cheesy sauce next time I will ask for extra sauce now that I've gotten a chance to try this one !! It gave "somebody's grandma been cooking all morning." Now... this second visit? The green beans came in a little confused. I got more potatoes and bacon than actual beans.
