We were pleasantly surprised - even better than we expected! Fun atmosphere. Had to wait a bit-it's a popular place! Our server was great. Enjoyed the coffee to start. My husband a steak and eggs and he loved it! I had an omelette with bacon and cheese. Oh my husband had sourdough toast and I had an English muffin. Our friends loved their meal too-they had really good salads. Will be back!

The location is conveniently located off Filmore and the building has a nice relaxed vibe. Wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. I ordered a cadet omelette and found it a little bland. I ordered yoghurt instead of breakfast potatoes and there was a generous size portion delivered with the omelette. The meal also included a whole wheat muffin which was delivered pre-buttered with about the right amount of butter in my opinion! Overall good value for money and I may try again in future, perhaps I just tried the wrong omelette.

Dude. You have to go to OP. The omelettes are so good! The potatoes are so yum, I'd go just for those! And very plentiful. They have a ton of options besides omelettes. It gets busy so go early. I highly recommend, can't wait to go back!

A great place for breakfast at a reasonable price. Especially if you come before 7 AM when omelettes are half price! The restaurant is an old house repurposed into a restaurant and bar. It is full of cool, historical memorabilia - pictures of 18 to 1900 Colorado Springs. The servers are friendly, and there are many regulars, like us.

Absolutely the best breakfast in the Springs. The food is great and the staff is amazing.

One of the best local breakfast and brunch places in Colorado Springs. So many options and everything is made from scratch. Personal favorites are the French toast and Ruben sandwiches.

Huge portions and delicious food! It was quick, inexpensive and better than any other breakfast place we've tried in the springs!

Garden omelet?

I been meaning to try this place for a while, every time I drive home from work I see that the place is packed. A friend came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we decided to go there for breakfast. The place is very cute and old school looking, my favorite part was and area with a bunch of potted plants under a skylight. We got a very pleasant lady for our server (can't remember her name as I'm terrible with names) she was very nice and efficient at her job. As far as the food goes, it was a very American breakfast kind of place. They serve a lot of food (I couldn't even finish it, which is rare). I had the garden omelet, I believe it was called. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best I've had. I did enjoy the potato's that come with the omelet.

CC's combo with Belgian waffle, banana nut French toast, and pancake.

If I could give more stars I would. From the service to the food - everything about this place was top notch! Our hostess greeted us upon entering with warmth and not only offered us a booster seat for our baby, but if we wanted one with straps - it's usually a crapshoot with baby seating so this was such a wonderful surprise. The place has such a comfy old atmosphere - like you're at your grandparent's. Next, our server Rachelle was phenomenal, never made us wait, great conversation, such a nice person. She took such good care of us. Now the food - holy moley. We got three CC's combos, one with a Belgian waffle, one with the banana bread French toast, and one with a pancake - just to sample everything. The bacon and sausage are thick cuts, the eggs were done to our liking. Those carbs - couldn't finish. Everything tasted wonderful and filled us to the brim. This was our last stop for our stay in Colorado Springs, but this experience will make this a permanent stop every time we come into town.

What a cute place this is! I came here for brunch with some friends after hiking at the Garden of the Gods. The interior design of the place is a mix of a diner-feel with cozy home vibes. The servers here are in a good mood and answer any questions that you need! The taste of the food is nothing extraordinary, but sometimes you just want something that reminds you of a home-cooked meal. The home fries were also pretty different than what I've eaten before! I would say that there will probably be a wait if you come for brunch on the weekend (I think we waited 15-20 minutes) but there is a good amount of parking outside!

Best breakfast in Colorado Springs! Large portions, tasty, and good value for money. Just love their French Toast. Fast service too.

They had a very nice space for the weather. They were quite busy and our server warned us it was going to take a long time due to the amount of patrons. This would have been good to know before waiting 40 minutes to be seated. Good thing is that we were ready with our food order, because it may have taken another forever between our drink and food orders. Our spiced chai was full of cinnamon, small, and ok. After an hour of waiting, we finally got our Mountain Man Hash that looked huge! Unfortunately, its physical size did not deliver in flavor. Even with its pork green chili, this dish was disappointing. The green sauce was not spicy; the spiced chai was hotter than the greed chili. The pork was well cooked but flavorless. The hash browns were soggy and also insipid. The eggs did not save this dish. Overall, this visit was quite disappointing. For the prices they had on their menu, I was expecting an almost 2 hour wait to be worth it. However, it was quite the opposite. Even when we wanted to get out of this place after eating, service kept us hostage for another 20 minutes. I am quite unsure which gods come to this garden.

Here, it did not. The scramble was bland, the seasoning barely perceptible, and the burrito lacked anything resembling a defining flavor. Cholula provided most of the excitement. A single slice of orange arrived alongside it, less a garnish than an afterthought. The dish ultimately tasted like precisely what it appeared to be: tofu dusted with turmeric and wrapped in a tortilla. The service model was equally puzzling. Drinks are collected yourself, dishes are cleared yourself, water is not brought to the table, and my meal arrived with a fork but no knife. None of this is inherently objectionable, but it helps to explain the system, particularly to first-time visitors. A restaurant cannot expect guests to understand its rules when no one bothers to tell them what they are. The coffee was good, though sweeteners required another small scavenger hunt. Perhaps regulars know exactly where everything is, clear their plates without thinking, and return happily for the atmosphere. For a visitor, however, the "vibes" were doing considerably more work than the kitchen.

The staff really knew their stuff and suggested the French toast as a must-try, while my fiancé went with the turkey sandwich. When our food arrived, it looked amazing! The French toast was so fluffy and perfectly cooked I'd give it a solid 10/10, especially with the fresh fruit and maple syrup on top. My fiancé loved his turkey sandwich too; he couldn't stop raving about the freshness of the ingredients. Drinks are going to be drinking, Not that I've gotten that out of the way... I've always heard such great things about Bird Tree Cafe. And I hadn't gone until yesterday! Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe. I cannot wait to come back and try their breakfast and more lattes!
