This is a review just for their ice cream, which can be summed up into: sweet, too sweet…read more I've tried 4 of their ice cream flavors now, and 2 of them have been a complete bust. The ones I didn't like: - The hazelnut just tasted like sugar, lacking any distinct flavor. - The yogurt lychee apricot tasted like yogurt plus sugar. I could barely taste any hint of lychee or apricot. The ones I thought were okay: - The strawberry was more like a sherbet. - The red velvet did not taste like red velvet, but I didn't find it too sweet at least. The cone they use also tastes like it's riddled with sugar. I actually didn't plan on coming here a second time, except that as I left, I saw a customer with a meringue disc on top of their ice cream, and I really wanted to try that as well. Two tips from me: 1. Turns out the meringue discs are free! How come it's not offered to every customer then? How come there's no sign for it? In any case, I'm letting you guys know now! If you want to spiff up your ice cream for free, ask for that meringue disc. 2. You get a cone + 1 scoop of ice cream for €2. If you want a cone + 2 scoops, it's €4..... Just buy 2 cones with 1 scoop of ice cream each then. I mean, if you don't want to, that's fine. But if they're not discounting the second scoop, then I'm getting a second cone, lol. Service-wise, I had a mixed experience. When I came yesterday, the person scooping the ice cream just did not care. However much they scooped the first time was however much the customer received... As a result, I saw some people with the tiniest scoops (like half the size of my single scoop)! Today, the person scooping the ice cream was a lot more diligent and competent. If the first scoop wasn't a lot, they'd scoop another smaller scoop so that every customer got roughly the same amount of ice cream. I'm sure not everyone pays attention to things like this, but I try to take note of small stuff from time to time. In this case, it's about making sure every customer can leave feeling like they're being treated the same. It's what sets the "I have hands" employees apart from the "I have hands and a brain" employees. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the ice cream, so I probably won't come back here, again.

The set up is like a giant ice cream restuarant. When you open up the menu, I would say there are 100 unique creations all of which looked amazing. I wanted one thing and I didn't want to look for it so I asked the waitress if they had an ice cream bowl that including Apple Pie and Ice Cream. Appararently they didn't and no one had ever heard of this combination. It's an American thing I guess. They were more than happy to make it for me though and it was sooooo good. The pie was great and the ice cream was amazing. This is without a doubt the only ice cream place you need to go to when you're in the Limburg area.

They're not really flavors at all, more like toppings. Whatever flavor I get is what I expect the ice cream itself to taste like, not what a few sparse chunks taste like. What I like to do is ask to try 2 flavors each time, then get the one I like more out of the 2. It's a nice way to eventually try out every flavor. One thing I'll give them extra kudos for is the lovely interior decor. I don't know exactly when it happened, but at some point they remodeled the place. It's basically a pink paradise now. There's always a line here and for good reason. Recent changes to this area of Tiensestraat have…read moremade it alot more welcoming with the addition of benches and an even, brick-laid street. Plus, its location makes it popular for many KU Leuven students to come here in between classes. Their prices are also rather affordable, 1.30euros for one scoop of gelato. What keeps everyone coming back is how tasty and creamy their gelato is. I've tried about a third of their flavors. So far, their Ferrero Rocher flavor is my favorite. It's dark chocolatey, hazelnutty, and has pieces of the wafer well-distributed throughout it.
