One thing I'll give them extra kudos for is the lovely interior decor. I don't know exactly when it happened, but at some point they remodeled the place. It's basically a pink paradise now. I followed the trail until I came upon Ijssalon Bastani at the end of the block. There were friend groups and families enjoying the frozen treats or deciding what to order. With dairy and non-dairy options, flavors fruity and chocolatey, and a few different choices of cones, there's doubtless something for everyone. It contains a nice selection of different salamis and prosciutto ,as well as several different types of cheeses - including one that is spicy and another that is "drunken" (infused with wine). It also includes some baby pickles and Mediterranean vegetables. Delicious! We also tried the beef tenderloin with mushrooms and a red wine sauce for dipping. Cooked perfectly, these little cuts of beef almost dissolve in your mouth. The lamb chops are also a very good choice and come with tzatziki and tomato. Finally, be sure to try the beef stew - it tasted amazing. We added a small salad and fries to nibble on while we enjoyed all these dishes. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake/mousse/ice cream combo. If you are a chocolate lover then this is your choice for dessert. You won't be disappointed. Service was good - our server was nice and had our food and wine out pretty quickly. My only recommendation to them is to improve on their cocktail selection. They promote a bar that offers wine, specialty beers and liqueurs - but when I asked about cocktails they only had Mojitos to offer me. The Mahicheh (lamb chop) was absolutely tender and very delicious. They serve two types of rice, one with saffron and mulberries, the other with carrots and raisins - both done nicely. We had the mantu and mirzaghasemi as appetizers; both were good. We tried 3 of the kebabs too. Not bad, but strongly outplayed by the other dishes.  They have a lovely house bread that one should not miss! The yoghurt-and-shallot side dish was excellent. I didn't like the house yoghurt soda much though.  We had the walnut ice cream and the saffron ice cream for dessert. Both were prepared well and came in big portions. The cardamom tea and the mint tea were great. So we ended at a high. Overall, delicious meals and a very pleasant experience. I would definitely go back to have more Mahiche and try the stews.
