Inconsistent speeds, way too many packets lost in route, apathetic customer service. There are way too many days where our internet is unusable for anything of than static page web browsing. Any time we have had issues, which seems to be constant, they put in so little effort to troubleshoot. We basically have to beg to get basic service and even then, they usually end up just shrugging it off. They don't even have access to most of the important lines, which are apparently handled by Astound. So they usually pawn off responsibility and leave it at that until we inevitably have to call and beg for more service AGAIN AND AGAIN! I am dreaming of the day I can finally escape from this unending nightmare.

I scheduled a service appointment with Astound for Friday, 8am-12pm, and took the entire day off…read morework. At 11:49am, dispatch called to say the tech would be late -- arriving by 2pm. Fine, I adjusted my day. At 1:15pm, I get a call from the same tech who had previously failed to fix the issue -- the same one I had requested NOT be sent again. He admitted he saw the note and suggested I reschedule for someone else. I asked him to just come by and replace the router. Instead, at 1:22pm, dispatch (Josh) calls and says, word-for-word: "We're rescheduling your appointment to next week." That's when I lost it -- I had already burned a vacation day! We argued, and I hung up in frustration. Later, Josh (the dispatch manager) called back, and we had a calm discussion. He apologized and booked me for Saturday, 1-5pm. I canceled my plans and waited. No one showed. No call. Nothing. This is beyond poor service. It's disrespectful and unacceptable. Astound claims to put customers first -- not even close. I'm done. Switching to Earthlink. This company doesn't deserve my business or yours.

Tested Dataspeeds were 1/10 of a competitor (who has crummy customer service). But staff is great, cost was very competitive & they told you what you need to do. Turns out, after store staff spending 10 minutes on the phone, and my answering questions as why i want to cancel, the Call center told the store staff (not me while on phone) they could not do it, but that i had to call in. I called in, long wait times, i eventually took the option for a callback. a couple of hours later, it took their computers 3 times to get me. A little more wait, then a really helpful and nice person (Haley) helped me cancel my account. She was soo nice i hated to do it. I'll be back when i live someplace they have better coverage !!

Isaac the employee we dealt with told us the best possible plan was to add two addtional lines to keep our rate at 120.00. When our bill came we were charged 180.00. Returning to the store Isaac said he made a mistake, he did apologize multiple times, but said nothing could be done about it. We were told we were on a two year plan and we were stuck with it. An additional $1200.00 out of our pocket because Isaac made a mistake. This is how they treat customers who have been with the company well over twenty years.
