This LA Fitness is not well cleaned or well kept. Usually i don't care too much, although I have…read morementioned the visibly dust-ridden vents over the pool being nasty for swimmers. But last week, while showering in the handicap, my towel and beach bag outside the curtain, I got out to find my hanging towel and entire bag with my clothing, Iphone and only car (infrared) key drenched from the broken shower nozzle spewing all over. The wet key shorted out and i could not start my car, leaving me stranded at home for over a week until a new dealer-only key was ordered and arrived at a price tag of $500! I left my car in their lot the first day, explained to the staff and requested a call from manager (which didnt come.) I had it towed home. Staff told me, "so sorry, but we dont do anything for damages." This is ridiculous! Their fault, my huge expense?! I called and requested another call from the district and regional manager as staff would not provide their contact info. Luckily, I googled and snail mailed a letter to corporate- but still nothing. ***Just saying, customer service is dead. LA Fitness doesn't give a hoot about you or their clubs as long as you keep coming. Your call.

The inflated price seems to create extremely entitled, mostly older gym-goers, that hoard 4-5 sets of freeweights at a time, and then hold loud 45-minute work calls while monopolizing a cable tower and glaring at anyone who comes close. If you want your routine to take 2 hours to do half as much actual lifting, spend 20 minutes trying to park, and still cost literally 10x as other gyms, then go for it. And hey, at least the locker rooms are clean. Just never try to cancel. They will call, text, email, and otherwise harass you to re-join every 2-3 months for the rest of your life. And no, they do not listen to requests to stop.

It's a clean and new facility that features a Kilter board (which can be set to any angle), a Tension board at 40 degrees, and two spray walls (one at 40 degrees and another at 20/30 degrees). There's also a small free weight gym, various hardboard options, and a few loading pins (just remember to bring your own grip strength). For the hang board area, I did struggle reaching and switching out the boards, so adding a stepping stool in the hang board area would make it more accessible for shorter climbers. They also have a small section of set routes graded A, B, and C (with A being the easiest) that incorporate a variety of V grades to encourage trying all the climbs. I visited during the grand opening, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I appreciated the training-focused environment, and they offer classes and personal training as well. There are monthly memberships available, complete with a free monthly guest pass, along with day pass options. Overall, this place really motivated me to train hard and get stronger for outdoor climbing. I love the variety of training options available to help climbers improve!
