I love love this gym!! I am the type of person that bounces around from place to place because I like to challenge myself and I decided to try out Odyssey and I loved it. First of all there is no judgement and the coach I worked with was hands on and helpful, made me feel welcome. It's also clean and well maintained! I saw people sanitizing things before they left and everyone is respectful. I felt comfortable trying new things and pushing myself. I even PR'd with the help of Desean. Try it out. You won't regret it.

He was in a very bad place when he entered Green Oak. It is Christian based and has worked wonders for my son. No more beating himself up for things he has done in the past. Yes there is a lock down period of two months - Yes you cannot have a phone while at the ranch. If you leave the premises you can take your phone for the day. You can work outside the facility after two months. There are random drug tests and when returning from a day out a breathalyzer test. As far as the food - no it is not great but edible. I don't know what people expect when you are paying $750 per month. You get a roof over your head - continual help and sober living. Classes for you to get sober & stay sober. Yes you do have some chores. When my son first arrived he would feed the goats, Tortes, peacock, horses and two pigs and one llama. Not hard work. Animals got fed twice a day and the goats 3x a day. There is also gate duty. He has been working the gate, teaching men how to study for their GED and has found purpose in his life again. It is learning that life is tough and there are restrictions in many things we do - but the rewards are priceless. My son may stay longer than the 9 months - and hopes to find out what he would like to do when his time is up to leave Green Oak. One Day At a Time. Thank you for Giving me My Son back.

There are strict policies that center around corporate demands for cost efficiency more than pt needs. Medicare is supposed to pay for pts to live out the end of thier life in a way that they deserve. But instead gentiva will take as much as they can and give the pt only what is absolutely necessary. The focus for the staff is now quantity of care much more than quality of care. A tight budget is maintained likely due lucrative yearly bonuses for management. Gentiva is a corporation that cares for thier bottom line more than the quality end of life care pts and families deserve. There is good reason why the branch lost half of their staff in just a few months. It is because of greed. I am writing this to make people aware before choosing this hospice as either a pt or for employment. I believe darkness should be exposed to light and honesty is always the best policy. Generosity and good pt care bring a good reputation which makes a business successful not strict policies and tight budgets, and lucrative bonuses. I would give a review of 1 if rating just the corporate policy makers and branch enforcers. I would review 5+ if only reviewing the wonderful field staff who are trying their best to make it work.

The admin staff seems fine (they are informal which is my style)... and the facilities and location are quite nice - although upstairs which was a pain at first but they do have an elevator which I've seen many patients use (as did I in the beginning). The reason I'm providing a review is to highlight that it's important to know that not all PT therapists are the same. I've been through about 6 different ones over the past 4 months and can say that 3 were so-so and not so helpful - about equivalent to me staying home and doing some stretching / exercises on my own. Two therapists were better than that and there was another one that was definitely good/great. He knew what to ask and also did some hands on massaging/treatment that helped a lot along with well designed exercises/stretching that was also helpful. Although, he only spends about 10-15 minutes focused on you and then turns you over to a helper that puts you through the stretching / exercise routine. He only spot checks on you during your time with the helper... so only about 10-15 minutes of high quality interactions with the PT therapist (which I'm assuming is the way things are done). I should mention that the less qualified PT Therapists seemed sincere and knowledgeable but a bit hesitant on the hand's on therapy. These are younger therapists that likely lack the experience and for that reason are pensive about how far to go... for fear of going too far. So I'm expecting them to improve over time. BUT Recently I was assigned a Licensed PT Assistant, Gil, who is hand's down G.R.E.A.T. Gil seems very knowledgeable and does great kneading / massaging while asking for feedback to alter his technique to be more optimal. Gil also designs a great stretch/exercise routine where he tracks you almost constantly discussing your form and also altering your routine in real time (adding more reps, increasing or lowering the weights you're using, etc.). I suppose Gil may not be as educated as a fully accredited PT therapist but he certainly knows how to perform certain levels of physical therapy - such as mine. So I'm pointing him out to everyone since you would likely benefit from using him... unless your situation is more complicated, requiring a fully accredited PT therapist.

The elevator was broken and phone lines were down for over 3 days. (Not very safe if there was an emergency evacuation.) Additionally, the folks living here all seemed a bit sedated. My mom included. She was always lethargic and just not the same. I do believe the dosage given were inaccurate or she was overly medicated. Lastly, I witnessed a patient fall and one of the other patients yelled for the caretakers to assist. I literally saw 4 caretakers stand there and did nothing. After the 3rd time the patient called out, one of the nurses yelled, "xx that's YOUR patient!" I did seek legal advice but was informed this was common?? (That's for a later review.). But I was advised to go to Yelp and go the State Medical Board... One down.

The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a warm, welcoming environment. Communication is another standout strength which provides great peace of mind for both families and care partners. In my role, I've also had the opportunity to collaborate closely with their team during residents' transitions back home with caregiving support. Their coordination during these transitions is outstanding, ensuring that residents and their families feel fully prepared and supported every step of the way. All of the families we've assisted following discharge from Glenbrook Health Center consistently share positive feedback about their experience, which further reflects the quality of care provided. What truly sets Glenbrook apart is their personalized approach to care. It's clear that the team takes the time to understand each resident's unique needs and works diligently to create a respectful and supportive environment.
