I was reached out to and definitely felt remorse on their end on the mix up. I obviously cannot give them a high rating as I didn't get to work with them and don't know how well they do personally. But from the amount of positive ratings they have received from others they may be worth checking out. My mix up appears to be just a small blip and not of the ordinary.

FYI...the whole experience with Academy Mtg was unprofessional, painstakingly long, and closing was actually questionable at one point. In all honest I actually should have reported our loan officer (Mr. J#1i0 Mi11@n) for Equal Opportunity Sexism and lying about understanding the VA process. Mr. Mi11@n couldn't fathom that the house would be purchased solely under my income, and utilizing MY VA benefits to do so. It got so bad Mr. Mi11@n even asked for my DECEASED military spouse's DEATH CERTIFICATE even though many times I explained I WAS THE SERVICE MEMBER! Mr. Mi11@n had even MET my husband was/is alive and well and was getting ready to retire from the military. Mr. Mi11@n had even MET my husband! Had it not meant losing our dream home we NEVER would have continued with Academy as our lender and we actually warn others about the situation; so no, we will not be discussing refinancing now or at any other time. We now keep having to request removal from all mail, email, and call lists. I f a negative star rating was possible we would have most certainly rated -5!
