Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. After paying for haircuts for both myself and my son, one of the barbers (the big one, 1-2 stations down from the Korean barber on the right) loudly called out as I was leaving that I had "forgotten to leave a tip." That's completely inappropriate. Tipping is optional, not mandatory, and calling out a customer publicly is unprofessional and uncomfortable. I ended up leaving a small tip just to avoid further awkwardness, which should never be the case. It's unfortunate, because experiences like this overshadow everything else. The haircuts themselves were average at best, and honestly, my wife does a much better job. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

I'm not very good at communicating what I'm looking for, but he both understood and did some additional things that were a big improvement. He asked if I wanted my beard lined up in a way that was easier for me to manage between trims and used a paper template to ensure he got both sides evenly. He wasn't super talkative, and I'm not either, so that was a good match! Or maybe he's chatty with clients who are chatty and just follows their lead, but either way, it was comfortable for me. The lighting is bright enough that I kept my eyes closed for a portion of the experience, and the music was a little loud for me, but it was a solid playlist. The chair was comfortable and things were impressively clean. I was there kind of early on that Sunday and so I didn't see a ton of other customers, but the few I saw seemed happy with their experience. It is good to find a shop that does a good job with beards that isn't also trying to be a whisky bar, a gentlemen's lounge, a sports bar, or a spa. Should have taken a few before and after photos to share--maybe next time! I waited a few weeks to write this to see how my beard would grow in and now, about 15 days later, it looks great and not in need of immediate maintenance. I'll definitely be back

I am incredibly picky about my haircut and both times I couldn't stay longer, but if I could have, I would have had them get it perfect. It is a source of frustration, annoyance, and regret every day. A lot of people like this place and I probably would have gone back - bad cuts happen, I guess, but for $120? Nah - you have to do better than that.
