I requested an estimate for an upcoming fence project that I need to take care of, and Summit Fence…read morewas the first to respond and arrive. Jacob was on time to the appointment, friendly, and took his time assessing our needs. I was genuinely looking forward to working with them, but unfortunately, fate had other plans. Jacob was unable to get back to me in a timely manner due to personal reasons. In the meantime, I decided to sign with another company to complete the work I need on my property. I was disappointed that I hadn't heard back from Jacob, so I left a review here expressing that disappointment. Almost immediately upon submitting my review, the owner responded. A short time later, Jacob called to explain why he hadn't gotten back to me and apologized for having dropped the ball. While I cannot speak to the quality of their work because I did not end up hiring them, I am changing my review because I feel like the owner and Jacob reaching out despite already having lost me as a customer shows integrity and care that is lacking in many contractor businesses these days. I appreciate that they care, so it is only fair for my review to be updated to reflect that accordingly.

CJ came out and was very helpful explaining the process. He said that he used to install and I liked that the sales person had experience doing the job so they weren't selling something that they really didn't understand. All of the staff were respectful and very clear. They continued communication through the process. I was also not harassed through follow ups. They allowed me time to review, get quotes, look at my budget and make - decision. It was a big reason I followed up when it made sense to move forward. I have had a lot of issues with contractors and Summit Fence has been such a breeze to work with. They do what they say they are going to do and they complete the job while respecting your space. I wish their energy was found elsewhere. I really love the look of the fence. I also had them stain it. Andrew and team did a great job. They were able to fit me in the schedule last minute and arrived early. At the end, they made sure to ask if I had any questions. If you want to pay check to avoid the fee, you can drop the deposit off and once the job is completed, the contractors will accept the check. That is a plus so you don't have to drive back over.

DO NOT hire this company. They also offer landscaping.... I hired Bret to renovate my backyard…read morewhile he was replacing my neighbor's fence and he did an absolute horrible job. Looked over my property, told me where to plant bushes, planted them unevenly. Planted some rose bushes where there was an apparent drainage problem, the rose bushes got washed away. He said he would clean up and clear out the grass growing on my hill along with clearing out the juniper. Only half the juniper was removed. The grass wasn't touched. He basically just covered the area with pine straw. Then told me if i had any issues he would come out and fix. When i texted him, he blocked me immediately. He also laid sod and didn't even level the ground so now my yard is uneven. Also, some of the sod was just laid in dirt. There was no preparation. My mistake for hiring someone to do landscaping that does fences. My point is, he just wants your money. The moment there is a problem, you will be blocked. We need to be able to hire people we can trust. They have no integrity. You cant trust them. If there is any problem or concern, they will disregard you once they have your money. I promise, I have nothing to gain from this post, l'm just trying to warn people.

I hired Andy to build a 100 ft horizontal fence in Newnan GA. We went over the details and he went…read moreahead and built it. However, he didn't pay attention to how I wanted the fence built. I asked for 1/2 spacing on a horizontal fence and he gave me 1 inch. I asked to have the 4X4's facing inside toward the property and he had them facing outward to the road. He also put the 2x2 supports on the opposite side of the fence then the 4x4's. I asked him to fix his mistake and he refused. I do not recommend A&E fencing and I would not work with Andy Moore again.

This is a review for A&E Fencing (contractor) of Newnan, Georgia. A&E fencing is owned by Andrew…read moreDavid Moore of Luthersville, Georgia. We had a number of issues with A&E during the April 2019 install of over $5000 in fencing. We DO NOT recommend A&E Fencing We installed an 8 foot chain link fence one year ago. The contractor was aware we were installing privacy slats on the fence. About 100 feet of the fence bent. A&E will not repair the fence. A&E states the fence was installed according to manufacturer specifications but will not provide the name of the manufacturer so that we can file a claim for manufacturer warranty. We will take down this negative recommendation if A&E will provide the details of the manufacturer warranty and show us the specs and wind load calculation they used to install our fence. Without looking at the damaged fence, A&E says storm/wind caused failure and although YES IT WAS very windy, the fence is located in a wooded area between two homes and not on open flat ground. We had multiple reputable fencing contractors visit to give us a quote to repair the fencing and all said the wind would not have been an issue had the fence been properly installed by A&E taking into consideration site conditions and wind load for the slats. A&E did not use the right gauge of line posts and did not set those posts deep enough. He used line posts appropriate for a 4-6 foot fence not an 8 foot fence with privacy slats. A&E also states we didn't ask for commercial quality but according to the six different fence supply companies in the Atlanta region we called anything over 6 feet is considered commercial requiring heavier material. We also reviewed specifications on Chainlinkinfo.org, steelcofence.com and hooverfence.com. We monitored the entire A&E install. The line posts were not installed deep enough. A&E's crew dug 12 inch deep holes (I went out and measured during the install) then used a manual post driver to pound them deeper. At "most", the posts were installed 24 inches deep but were likely less because many of them were trimmed several inches after they were installed. They should have been set 32 - 40 inches deep. His crew also used only TWO 50 pound bags of cement to set eleven line posts. We discussed our concerns with A&E. He argued with us that we didn't know anything about fencing and was questioning his integrity. We specifically asked him the size of the line posts and he told us he did not know what they were. We asked him if he had considered the wind load of the fence with the slats and he said he had installed these type of fences before and that his lifetime warranty would cover it if there was an issue. We also had issues during the install of our ranch rail fence. Two days into the install we noticed the crew was not putting up the wire. We were informed we did not ask for the wire. Despite showing A&E his own quote approving the fence WITH the wire he continued to claim he never meant to include it and we were trying to scam him. Ultimately he installed the wire. His crew dismantled the partially installed fence, threw the material on the ground near the road where it sat over the weekend and then re-installed the boards, many of them split and damaged. A&E's crew also damaged our Xfinity underground cable line and we were without telephone, internet and television for two days. The location of the damage was in a direct line 8 feet from the pole bringing in the cable to the house - not out in a field or the middle of the yard. A&E contractor's website FAQ page states "At least 5-7 working days before we start your job, we will place an excavation request call to PA 1-CALL. This request dispatches representatives of companies that may possibly have underground lines on your property. If there are lines, they are marked with paint or flags which tell us where we can and cannot dig." A&E failed to make the PA 1-Call and blamed us for the break because we did not tell them there was cable on that side of the house. Only after a heated discussion did he agree to pay for the Xfinity reconnect fee.
