The wand chooses the wizard!…read more Definitely a fun experience if you have the opportunity, and when you are chosen it makes it that more magical! Did I buy the wand? You bet I did! The staff sells the experience and there is a vast amount of wands to choose from. The interactive wands are fun, though a tad overpriced in my opinion for the product.

Very hard to move around and see everything, you want to open all the boxes and see all the wands! There are wand helpers around to answer questions and assist with finding the right wand. They have all the "famous" wands and also unique wands that they can look up your birthday and tell you which one fits you. There are several wand shops across both Diagon Alley and Hoogsmeade- but I really feel like you need to buy your wand at Ollivanders.

You'll find this directly across from Gringotts Bank (you know with the 60 foot fire breathing Ukrainian ironbelly dragon on top). Once the performance is complete you enter Ollivanders and focus on which wand is the best fit for you. Maybe your wand will find you swiftly. I was told they have over 10,000 wands on site and while many are the same model, no two are ever the same. So it's similar to snowflakes, but $50 bucks more expensive. Every employee is an experienced wand expert and can assist you in finding the wand you love (keeping in mind that you don't find the wand, rather, it finds you). That being said, I guess the employee should ignore you and work with the wands, while you just stand there. On second thought, that's a stupid idea. It is imperative you have an interactive wand and it is activated. You can't truly be immersed in the Harry Potter experience without it. There are locations in the alleys for the interactive wand to conjure up surprises. Be aware there maybe short lines at these places since everyone wants the experience and that sometimes the miracles are hard to activate. You paid the admission to get in the gates, you walked and/or rode to the back of the property to see this, you can't skimp out now. The interactive wand enhances your amazing adventure; It also makes for great decoration in your home, as well as a neat conversation piece. Tell all your friends you went see Harry Potter and ride the coasters. So maybe you need to get the wand stand, too? 8/19

The prices are little bit higher since it's a tourist place. But some things are worth the price. There are several associates available around the store. Some stand in front offering visitors deals and credit card promos. Checkout lane has multiple registers open and move fast. I bought few small magnets from the store.

We had two builders, so we were able to have 2 spectators. We took my 4 year old in and he even had his own special experience even though he wasn't building. We were a bit bummed that one of the Lightsaber theme options were out of stock, but my husband wasn't unhappy with the one he did end up choosing. As usual, the experience was fueled by Disney magic and theatrics. You head in a listen to the story of who these people are and why you're here (no spoilers). You then get to choose your crystal as they come around the room and your presented with the themed components you selected at check-in. Kembe went around and interacted with the guests. He was an incredible Cast Member and his performance was an 11 out of 10. When he came around to my husband he had a special interaction with my son and gave him his own Kyber Crystal. The magic he brought was a truly unforgettable moment for my son. My son is now excited to grow up and bring his green crystal back to build his own Lightsaber one day. On the way out you receive a bag for your Lightsaber. We immediately went in to Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and had the Lightsaber shipped home. It was well worth the $30 we paid to not have to carry it around all day and try to get home on a plane. I cannot recommend this experience enough. It was an incredible moment for everyone in the room. My husband and brother are excited to book another experience next time we go.
