After lengthy discussion where she insisted I was in the wrong and she was correct, she told us that there were 2 tables available and she could seat us........why not lead with that?? Suggestion: "oh, I don't see a reservation in that name. Perhaps there was some sort of miscommunication. Luckily there are 2 different table options. Give me a couple minutes to get one cleaned and set and we'll get you seated asap". Next, the bartender came to deliver our wine and said "which of you ladies messed up and called the wrong restaurant?" ???? Again much better communication would have included "oh, Im so glad we could get you seated tonight" What an interesting way to greet customers..... Anyway, the food was good and our server was very pleasant so Im giving them a 3.

I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. We loved the dishes we had: dumplings, roasted eggplant, potato curry, and a Bahn Mi sandwich. Okazu also boasts a good selection of well-priced cocktails but it's the staff that make this spot special. Friendly, attentive, personal and engaged wait staff made our visit special. Added bonus - it's where the actors come after the show. The Mermaid Margarita, Thai Mi Chile and the Ume Up cocktails were all interesting, delicious and not too sweet which is often a complaint.
