I love chocolate and was so excited to find out that Oliver Brown opens until midnight EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! It took me about a year after discovering this fact to actually make my way down to try this place. Full of anticipation and excitement it ended in disappointment and confusion. We ordered the churros and were told it would be a 10min wait because they needed to freshly make them. I'm all for freshly made! What came out though looked more like straight waffle strips sprinkled with icing sugar and cinnamon rather than a curly star shaped strip. There was no chewy consistency to the churro either. They also didn't taste like waffles. I'm really unsure as to what they actually are! *sigh sigh sigh* I guess nothing smothering them in chocolate dip can't fix which is what I did. At least the chocolate was nice so I'm sure I'll go again but stick to the hot chocolates.

Sweet tooth heaven! Mocha is outta sight (if you're into the sweet thing) - definitely not for those that don't like sugar in their coffee. Okay, maybe it's a bit overpowering over the coffee (tastes more like a hot chocolate), but who cares... After all, it is a chocolate cafe! Chocolate Nun -- kinda like a cross between an eclair and a profiterole filled with chocolate custard/creme topped with a another mini ball of goodness. Yum! Sugar overload :-)

Who isn't a fan of chocolate goodness?! Located in their new bigger space with a terrace, Oliver brown doesn't disappoint. From waffles, to hot chocolates, sundaes, churros and more chocolates - a great place to catch up with friends. Can get busy at times so be prepared to wait. Self serve water near the ice cream bar. Decent pricing. Friendly staff.

My friends and I come here often after dinner at mutually inconvenient Top Ryde. Max Brenner it is not, but the hot chocolates always hit the spot. Coconut hot chocolate is a favourite and I recently tried the Sneaky Snickers, which is more a frappe than a milkshake but the flavour is spot on. It often gets very busy at night as lots of people like to hang out after the nearby movies.

Soy flat white was not good. Banana bread was under cooked. Cafe staff wanted to take the dish away before I finished.

Staff too busy to clear and clean tables until you ask. Slow service and average coffee.

Love the coffees and desserts here even though I'm not really a sweet tooth. Very relaxed place just to chill out and read the paper.

The restaurant has been here for about a year and is right in the middle of the eating area at Eastwood. Most of the restaurants around here are Korean or Japanese so a modern Australian is an interesting option. There is also a Strathfield version of this restaurant and maybe Bonnyrigg. The parking is a pest so we paid $3 and parked across the road at the Aldi supermarket building. We got here at 5:30pm on a Saturday night but by the time we left around 7pm, the parking area was full. The restaurant is in two levels. The bottom level is where the coffees are done and the top level is the kitchen. The bottom was quite busy but we luxuriated in space on the top level. The food was very good. We had zucchini flowers and scallops as entree (primi), salmon and king prawn spaghetti as main, then raspberry soufflé and broken lemon tart for dessert. We tasted each others meals and gave the thumbs up. Cappuccino was fine but macchiato was a little disappointing but OK. The service was excellent. Worth a visit.
