Where do I begin, I have been to seven different nail salons in the past couple of months since moving back to New Jersey. Finally one of my coworkers turned around and said go check out olive Nails in Mount Holly. I made an appointment and today I walked in and I will be back!! Go see Michelle who did my nails and Lena who did my toes. I have finally found a nail salon that takes their time, make sure your nails look the way you ask them to look, and you're satisfied before you leave the building. I have to share this review. My first visit to the salon was wonderful; the owner provided excellent nail service. However, my subsequent two visits were disappointing. During a pedicure and refill appointment, total was over three hours. A refill appointment, which included an airbrush request, took nearly an hour and the result was amateurish and messy. I requested a different technician for today's appointment, and although assured immediate availability, I made my way in. I was asked to wait fifteen to twenty minutes. This lack of professionalism and disregard for my time led me to leave. Very Unprofessional. I walked out. No consideration for time. Don't do it. Novice technicians. Went to one who supposedly was the best. A disappointing experience. Lumpy application of acrylic with gel polish over it. Couldn't get the shape right, a short coffin. I made an appointment to have my real professional technician in delran do my nails and remediate this disaster of a job. To make it worse I asked for change for a $20. He gave me back $10 taking a $10 top for himself. Very presumptuous and rude. You don't take what you think you should get. I was in there on Wednesday, I needed a pedicure, and my nails refill....the broblem is the guy there started my pedicure I told him several times that the chair needed to go back I was up to close, he gave know response, the next thing I got another worker, he took the lady next to me treated her great, I had a hang nail on my toe, that was not taken off she thought it was but it wasn't I will not be returning I didn't feel comfortable, but the lady that did my nails she was okay. read more

I should have gotten him to do them because the other technician made them a little too thick and the technique she used to fill made her cut my cuticle. Honestly, I used to love this place. I just recently went to olive nails to get a mani before my vacation. I was taken back quickly but the woman who did my nails, Jenn was so rude. When new clients came in she muttered under her breathe (I can hear you and so can other people within the area). That's not even that bad... 1) when she seated me at her table it was still dirty from a previous client. Instead of cleaning it off with a solution she just wiped it down with a paper towel & continued to use that towel on me. 2)She rushed my mani and it was such a botched job. The gel polish went over my cuticles as if a 4 year old painted my nails. On top of it all she Rushed me out and kept second guessing my options. "Are you sure you want that color?" Why yes Jenn I do. Unless you want to pay for my visit, I don't want you to keep doubting my opinion on what I want my nails to look like. 3)I got my eyebrows done next. She never washed her hands when she came to work on me. Granted it was my nails she worked on but in the time frame of seating me in a private room she went to go set up some guys pedi chair and other stuff. She touched contaminated equipment in the process. There is a flu growing around and being a nail tech working on someone's eyes would mean to use precautions. Plus her fingers were all up in my mouth. So gross. 4) I left baffled cause she barely did the works on me. I came back cause I was pissed about the professional work on my bloody fingers. If you pay $33 dollars for something it better be damn well good. I didn't get the hand massage just the nails and it looked like crap (see pictures). When I told her about how I wanted the cuticles fixed cause the gel was on it she just blamed it on my hands. Like no Jenn that's your shitty work. 5) the best part was that she was working on the dudes feet when I came back. She didn't wash her hands & she used an old cotton ball that was sitting on the work station. I was stunned for words and have never experienced this from olive nails. Who does this? I won't ever come back to this establishment cause they are not clean. Their equipment isn't cleaned in between (I witness first hand today - thanks Jenn) & Jenn is super rude to clients. Needless to say I'm filing a complaint with OSHA because they are nasty. If any of you decide to go here just ask for Sarah. She is a sweetheart and does her job really well. WORST nail salon EVER!!! I called and spoke with Michelle to make my 1st appointment at Olive Nails for a Full Set Pink & White Acrylic. She advised me that acrylic is $45 and that they also have Pink & White Gel that she said last longer and are more durable for $65. She made my appointment with Lin. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told that Lin would be right with me. I patiently waited because I understand that it may take a few minutes to finish up with a previous client. After sitting there for 15 minutes, I asked Michelle when she would be finished and was told that she was almost finished. 15 minutes later I was fed up and told her that I called and made an appointment for a reason. She kept apologizing and assured me that she 10 more minutes. Finally Lin tells me to take a seat in her chair, then proceeds to take her previous client into the wax room. A few minutes later Lin sits down and started to use natural nail tips and NOT white. I told her I asked for Pink and White when I made my appointment! She then tells me she doesn't know how to do them and tries to convince me to do gel nails. I did NOT sit there due almost 45 minutes to pay for something I didn't ask for. How the hell do they schedule appointments, have a NEW customer WAIT 45 minutes, and with people who are INCAPABLE of performing the service they scheduled for? WORST place EVER!!!! read more

Very rude management. I called in one day asking if I could reschedule my 10am appointment. The owner told me she had nothing until after one. I then asked if I could just send my grandma in as a walk in due to the fact she wouldn't be able to come in after one do to another appointment. She told me no walk ins today appointment only. So my grandma never came in. I came for the 1pm appointment it was completely empty in there. Workers lounging around. I watched two sets of people walk in and when they were asked if they had appointments they responded with "no walk ins" they took both sets of people and started working on them. I think it was very rude as myself as well as my family comes there very often and spend lots of money here. Meanwhile I found this salon as a walk in customer myself. The owner is rude and will talk about you amongst her employees. I also think none of them can do a good job besides Kate. read more

I will say the salon is clean and accommodating with times. However my 12 dollar manicure was among the worst I've received. The technician refused to use the file I brought from home because it was "smoothing." She then buffed, filed my nails which flaked and peeled with her technique/tools. I could have let that grow because my nails grow fast and I keep them short, but the polish has what has to be a maximum amount of thinner in their polish because it took several coats to become opaque and lasted all of 24 hours before chipping. I would avoid unless you only need the color for one night. read more

my appointment was at 1100am to get a gel manicure fill in and polish. when i got there, a manicurist was assigned to me. we sat down. she started doing my nails. this involves filing down whats on my nails and prepping them so that a new fill in could adhere to whats already on the nail. after sort of working on my right hand, the manicurist told me i needed a new set because the one that was on my nails was 'separating' from my actual nail. i asked her how much and she said $60.00. so i agreed. i said i wanted clear gel on my nails. then she said the price she quoted me was for acrylic. i never asked for acrylic. i dont have acrylic on my nails. its gel. and at this point, she had taken everything off my nails. somebody who claimed to be the owner told me that people come in there and dont know whats on their nails. but i clearly made the appointment for a gel fill in manicure. not having any choice, since everything that was on my nails had now been removed, i agreed. i then said i had an appointment after this. it was now after 1200pm and nothing had been done. so the person who claimed to be the owner said the person didnt feel comfortable because she was afraid i wouldnt be happy. so somebody else said they would do my nails. my nails didnt get done until after 200pm. now the price was $85.00. when they ran my credit card through the machine, they claimed it was declined. no reason it should be declined. when i was trying to figure out what to do, a third person called the police. they told the police i was refusing to pay. and they locked the door, holding me hostage, until the police arrived. i have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my life. read more

Lena was very unprofessional today. I scheduled an appointment her appointment for a manicure and pedicure. I simply asked her not to cut my cuticles, push them back and clean them up. Immediately she caught an attitude and it was very obvious in the aggressive tone she spoke to me. I asked her to stop doing my nails, I will pay only for my pedicure which By the way is garbage..... I don't get it you're go to these establishments paying your money to get services that you want and they turn around, catch attitudes because they wanna do things their way.. I got my refill done for a uv gel refill literally a week ago today. I had to go there YESTERDAY to get my nail redone as the artificial one fell off. I do not work outside of my home, I do not do manual labor.... I type on a keyboard as I work at a bank.... I was charged for them to fix the nail when it didn't even last a week.... I'm pissed because I just paid 60$ not even a week ago on this refill. They're WAY overpriced for the crap work that they do.... Plus there's an older lady there that walks around coughing and not covering her mouth.... and the lady I had yesterday who is at station # 2 kept taking off her mask... very unprofessional place and WAY overpriced. While the wait can be long even with an appointment sometimes, always try for the 1st or last appointment, Michelle did an absolutely beautiful and professional gel set for me. I came here with my girlfriend the other day and had a really great experience. We both got mani/pedis and immediately picked out colors and got right into the pedicure chairs. The tubs were clean and the ladies were very efficient in getting us settled quickly. The pedicure was lovely, had a nice leg massage with the smooth stones which is always a bonus. What I really liked was that they finished both of our pedicures within minutes of each other (which isn't always the case) so we were able to continue chatting our way over to the manicure tables. I went in today (Saturday) after work, and was told I'd have to wait 90 minutes to get them fixed. That they have paying customers to help??? This review is from my wife - I came here recently to get a gel manicure. My normal place was closed and I used to be a regular at Olive nails. So since I was familiar with olive nails I thought they would be a pretty good back up... Sad to say... NOT the case!!! While getting my nails done I asked the nail technician to cut my nails shorter... she said "no, it's too close to the skin"... wasn't even close. My nails were haphazardly painted.. jagged edges.. only 2 coats of nail polish... I had my nails done on Saturday... they chipped and peeled by Monday. Mind you, I have NEVER had that happen!!! By far the WORST manicure I've ever had... I just had my nails redone today at my regular place and my nail technician asked about my nails and just said "terrible ". Yup, pretty much sums it up! Last time I was at Olive Nails was @2 years ago when Tony worked there.. this place has definitely gone downhill... even the atmosphere in there was depressing... I have been a regular customer here for 4 years. I always call ahead to schedule an appointment, as they can get busy quickly. Yesterday afternoon, I called around 3 and made an appointment for 6:30. I was told this was the last appointment available before they close at 7, but no worries. Come in! I arrive at 6:25, and say to the new girl in the chair closest to the door that I have an appointment with Jenny. Jenny looks up at me and LAUGHS AT ME, says "no, the lady behind you has a 6:30". The new tech closest to the door looks at me and says "too bad". WTF do you mean too bad?!?! All the technicians continue working on their clients, speaking softly to each other in their language. I wait for a few minutes, and no one acknowledges me standing there. So I turn around and walk out. I have gone here almost 2 times per month for the last 4 years. Quality has gone down hill since Tony left. I will never be back. read more

I moved here about 2 years ago and still haven't found my go to place, I generally wait until I'm up north to get my nails done but in a pinch wilL go to olive. I had a 2 month break and decided to get tips, upon returning to hospital work I needed them to be removed. The worker belittled and berated me the ENTIRE tIme. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had. I needed them to be removed and to do a regular manicure. This woman even involved the patron next to me and was like look, see that's dip. On another occasion asked me if it was my first time getting tips. No lady, I'm in my 30s and know what dip and acrylic and gels are and have had them all. I was going to rip the tips off myself and decided to be responsible and get them removed the proper way just to be SCOLDED the entire time about how weak it will make my real nails REPEATEDLY. Never in my Life! This is a NAIL salon, who had no problem doing them but treated me like shit when i needed them removed. Unreal. Don't go here unless you want the most stressful experience you've ever had. I didn't even ask the techs name but she was an older women last seat on the right. read more

My nails look good when I leave and people give me compliments on them. It's definitely one of the best nail places around and the only place I go to. Just got a regular pedicure and gel nails there and I'm so unhappy. A piece of brush hair fell on my almost dry but still wet toe nail polish and when the lady tried to fix it, the polish got all tacky and wasn't smooth. Instead of taking off the polish all the way to fix it, she kept putting more layer over and it got to look like this. When I got home I noticed it and took it off and gave myself a pedicure 100x better then what I got. Also got gel for the first time on my hands and the way she filed my nails looks terrible and there is polish on my cuticles and she cut me a few times. The lady also seemed to be rushing and was looking all around no focused on me while filing my nails. I have had a bad experience here before but I thought maybe it was just a bad day so I went back, but I will never be back again. read more
