We had no wait for a table around noon, although they were briskly busy on this holiday. Our server was relaxed and not bothered by the commotion, took his time and helped us through our choices. No brunch cocktails for us, we dug right in to meals. I chose the peach burrata caprese salad plate with a side of blackened chicken breast. Although the menu said the peaches would be grilled, they were cold. Perfectly ripe and firm, a great sweet contrast to the balsamic vinegar drizzle. Creamy burrata, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes rounded out the plate. This was a superb salad. The grilled chicken was a $6 add and came on a separate plate. Generous sized, the breast was well seasoned and tender. We took some home with spouse's plentiful potatoes from the skillet. Spouse went with the meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The skillet had ham bacon sausage and cheddar cheese with a huge pile of potatoes and two scrambled eggs. It also included wheat toast. This was a lot of food! This is a bright, well lit, smartly decorated restaurant, where I would love to have spent time at happy hour. Good service, good food, not overpriced at all. Maybe another visit next time we're in New Jersey!

You can genuinely taste the freshness of the ingredients--from the bread to the mozzarella and crisp arugula. Simple, well-executed, and very satisfying. 5/5. The selection of cheeses was good especially the cheese dips that Johnny explained was what they are most known for. There were many other very unique and awesome things in the shop other than cheese and food products such as tea selections, unique serving dishes and other housewares and decor. We didn't buy cheese the first day because this is one of our first stops in the village shoppes and had intended on going back before we left for the day but didn't make it in time before close. We did ensure we made it back before our trip was over for the week and took some of the fantastic cheese home. Upon our return, we met one of Johnny's sons who was just as great at customer service as his dad. From my understanding researching the shop's history, after meeting Johnny and his son, and then seeing reviews, we learned in our search that it was previously owned by two other men, and they were the "rude" people that other reviewers encountered and that Johnny and family have been trying to provide exceptional customer service and a friendly environment since. Ignore the naysayers and give it a try for yourself- you won't regret it!

Mike became very confrontational claiming the grapes weren't in season and too bad they're not satisfying. He finally agreed to refund me, begrudging; when I got to the parking lot I realized he only refunded me for the grapes yet KEPT the bread and my receipt. I returned to then to the store to tell him. He yelled about the return again and seemed not to have a customer service return acceptance. I ended up leaving with no bread in hand and no refund. This truly is bad business because not only did they get my payment for the bread ($4.99) I'm sure they'll receive a credit ftom PF (Pepperidge Farm) for the return. Wow!!
