Juan Balaguer Porcel, a young talented chef, is a serious candidate to get 1+ Michelin stars. He has been living and working abroad, in particular, US - Aspen and New York City, and has been already winning awards in Spain.
Oliu is an amazing country finca converted into a gourmet restaurant with own garden, lounge and bar area. Exterior and interior are equally stunning - traditional dry stone blended with modern materials and a lot of glass & lights. It feels very authentic yet extremely chic. Very classy.
As for food and service, prepare to be spoiled. Juan is experimenting a lot, he put own interpretation into every Mallorquin dish. Typical pa amb oli, sobrassada and paella will look like nothing you expect.
