Grube's Dairy Store

Do yourself a favor and stop buying milk from Walmart, and head to Grube's for the best gallon of chocolate milk you will ever drink in your life. Grube's Dairy Farm operates out of Mohrsville, and recently began operating a small country store a couple of years ago, right across the street from the former, water-damaged borough hall in Shoemakersville. Make your way down the little alley next to the white house with the "Grube's Dairy" cow sign, and the parking lot is on your right. Grube's Dairy is the country store that Shoemakersville needs, since the departure of Boyer's left a void in which Shoemakersville residents now had to travel to Hamburg to go grocery shopping. Enter Grube's, the little store that could: offering their incredibly delicious line of LOCAL (I repeat: local) dairy products, delicious PA Dutch Nelson's Ice Cream (Nix Besser!), locally made "Pure Wild Tea", miscellaneous grocery items, and new for 2015: a full deli! If I haven't convinced you yet, I strongly urge anybody who prefers local, quality products and small businesses to check out Grube's Dairy.

They even have ice cream they sell as well as a little deli for meat and such. Everything is reasonably priced and tastes very good. I really like the tea they sell and their chocolate milk the best. My next trip I'm going to get some ice cream from them.

Part of the business, next to the produce section, is a dedicated beer section. Parking lot has ample parking including many handicapped parking spaces and a few spaces for expecting mothers Some of the prices are higher than other stores but you can find some good deals if you look for them. They have some store made foods in the deli section including baked goods, fried chicken, potato salad, and similar items.

I always use the self checkout, and I like using that one that is right there at the door by the lotto machine or they can see everything I'm doing and if i need them for some reason like to redeem points or something, they are not far away. There was a lady there I've never seen before. She is older with a very raspy, deep voice. This lady would not leave the customers alone, including me. She acted like no one knew what they were doing and we were trying to steal. It's like every little move I made she was right there, ready to stick her hand in and press a button. Then, I had to restart my phone so I could use my phone to pay. And she's like, ma'am, it says you still have to pay!! I know that I was waiting for my phone to restart.I know what i'm doing. Then, she stood there with her legs spread apart, blocking me as if I was gonna run off with seventy dollars worth of groceries. How embarrassing!!! Then, once I paid, she was all in the next person's business interfering. That customer looked at her like what are you doing? I normally don't leave reviews and definitely not bad ones. But this lady is obnoxious and made me feel as if she thought I was a thief. I am a manager at a well-known store and I don't even do that to the kids that come in to the store. I certainly don't do that at self checkout. I have never had an experience like that. That was awful.
