Employee Owned grocery story. Small regional chain. Very friendly employees on the staff. The store is very clean and well maintained. Part of the business, next to the produce section, is a dedicated beer section. Parking lot has ample parking including many handicapped parking spaces and a few spaces for expecting mothers Some of the prices are higher than other stores but you can find some good deals if you look for them. I have been going to the Leesport Pa location for as long as it has been there, which has been at least 30 years. I have been going there almost it's weekly. I always use the self checkout, and I like using that one that is right there at the door by the lotto machine or they can see everything I'm doing and if i need them for some reason like to redeem points or something, they are not far away. There was a lady there I've never seen before. She is older with a very raspy, deep voice. This lady would not leave the customers alone, including me. She acted like no one knew what they were doing and we were trying to steal. It's like every little move I made she was right there, ready to stick her hand in and press a button. Then, I had to restart my phone so I could use my phone to pay. And she's like, ma'am, it says you still have to pay!! I know that I was waiting for my phone to restart.I know what i'm doing. Then, she stood there with her legs spread apart, blocking me as if I was gonna run off with seventy dollars worth of groceries. How embarrassing!!! Then, once I paid, she was all in the next person's business interfering. That customer looked at her like what are you doing? I normally don't leave reviews and definitely not bad ones. But this lady is obnoxious and made me feel as if she thought I was a thief. I am a manager at a well-known store and I don't even do that to the kids that come in to the store. I certainly don't do that at self checkout. I have never had an experience like that. That was awful. read more

Just a warning to anyone shopping at this store. If you purchase a gift card make sure they give you a seperate receipt for a gift card purchase. I was ripped off for $ 50 because they said the card was never scanned. I don't know if this was some kind of scam by the cashier or an honest mistake. Our fault for trusting and disposing of our receipt. Will no longer be shopping there. Giant is a better choice. read more

The store in Hamburg has been going backwards for weeks now. Today they only sold Mac salad that was 8 days old. They had nothing fresh. Last week we bought bread and exactly 1 day later went to make toast and the bread was moldy. They haven't had cat food for over a week now. I have been going to this store for years and it has been slowly going backwards. Are there new managers or what??? They need a new manager that knows how to order. read more

Organized supermarket layout with average prices- some higher, some lower than local competitors. The store itself is clean and well kept. As a result, I feel like it is a safe and healthier shopping option than some local competitors. The staff are pleasant and interact with customers, offering warm greetings and shelves well stocked. I never feel like I'm inconveniencing anyone if I ask a question as they are seemingly happy to assist by physically walking you through the aisle vs just pointing and telling. Although the shelves are always well stocked, the selection is more limited than larger stores in brands and specific items. I do highly recommend the Chicken Pot Pie from their deli. It's a delicious comfort food option for the whole family, is grab and go convenient at a great price! Prep is super easy as it only takes minutes in the microwave. The produce section always has a nice fresh selection of healthy options as well. Small inconveniences have me leaving a 4 star vs the 5 total including: a cluttered entry/exit area. It is usually brimming with empty carts, magazine racks, a video rental box, etc. These obstacles make navigating through very cumbersome, especially for people who are trying to pass by in opposite directions. The outer reason for a lower star rating is I have overheard a woman unable to utilize the electrical shopping scooters because they hadn't been charged. This can pose a grave inconvenience to those who depend on these devices to obtain essential items. Both of these concerns could be easily resolved through simple routine care. Upon their rectification, I would be most happy to revise my rating. Thanks to all that keep this local supermarket running efficiently and safely throughout this pandemic! read more

Dirty lobby, dirtier parking lot. Employees too busy in conversation to be helpful or courteous. Not once, consistently. Good thing Aldi and Giant are nearby. read more

Phenomenal prices and even better customer service. I live over an hour away from the closest Redner's, so I only get to shop there when I'm visiting family in Reading. But I always make it a point to stop in and stock up on fruits, veggies, and bakery items because the quality and the prices can't compare to the grocery stores near me. Every experience I've had at this particular Redner's has been wonderful. Just a few examples: I had picked up a bag of their freshly cooked chicken for dinner and moments later an employee walked up to me and said "Excuse me, ma'am, let me give you a discount on that chicken since it's so close to the time we switch them out for fresher ones." So he took half price off my chicken! Another example of great customer service is when I called in about the bagels I purchased having a tiny bit of mold on them. The manager was so nice and understanding and apologized sincerely and said there was no excuse for that to happen. He then mailed me a gift card to cover the cost of the bagels (since I don't live close enough to return them). The fact that the bagels had a tiny bit of bold was just an accident from being bagged while they were still warm, and it certainly won't stop me from continuing to shop there. read more

Was at this store! No one was sanitizing carts like in Giant or Target! Did not see anyone cleaning or sanitizing. !?! No sanitizing wipes!!! I want to Courtesy to ask for a wipe to clean my cart! Was told they can't put them by the entrances because people steal them! Who cares! Protect your customers or you'll lose them to the stores that are practicing these sanitizing methods!! Meat dept is ok. I had poultry that was absolutely spoiled and stinky when I got it home and opened it. Returned it and received store credit ( would not issue a cash refund. Also beware their seafood dept. found scallops that were outdated. Never had this problem with WalMart read more
