Just had my wedding at Olema House and cant be happier with the whole experience. We toured over 30 venues and it hit all our boxes . The drinks (margarita was amazing!) throughout the whole weekend were great. One guest was very impressed with her Manhattan. The food and coordination of it all impressed all of our guests. Everything really went smoothly from our perspective. The ceremony was tucked away near the cottages that we rented and our cottage was in a perfect spot to get ready for the walk out. Our photographer had a great time shooting the scenic area and deer walking by the creek. We had BBQ for dinner and everyone loved the sides and entrees and were most impressed by the fried chicken. Shout out to the bread rolls too! Thank you Paulina and the Olema Team. People said it was the best wedding they ever been to. We will be forever grateful.

We're ALWAYS on the lookout for dog friendly properties to stay with the Corgs. First and foremost, there is a difference between properties that allow pets (Which we are definitely grateful for) and pet "friendly" properties. Olema House is definitely the latter (yes, pets are allowed). The staff was very accommodating, and the restaurant next door had a comfortable covered patio in the rear, which was great...especially given the inclement weather we experienced during our stay. There is a pet fee of $100 per stay. At least it's a per stay fee versus nightly fee. I find the latter to be a bit excessive tbh. As for the property itself... Pros: - Heated wooden floors, great for those chilly winter nights - Complimentary wine and bottled water in the mini bar (Believe it or not...I really dig this "perk" that more and more boutique experiences are offering) - The lavender spray for your pillows, also a nice touch Cons: - We stayed here on a promotional rate...but ordinarily the rate can be north of $500 per night, which for what's included...I'm not sure it'd be worth it for me - That marshmallow soft bedding. Granted this is a personal preference, but the excessively squishy mattress pad and pillows were a novelty when you first got into bed...but for firm mattress sleepers this took some getting used to

Trying to block out the noise and sites of the wedding happening outside my room of which I was provided no notice/warning.

I want to note that management did an amazing job in responding to my complaints. They took it very seriously and offered reasonable accommodations. I will give them another shot.

We had a wonderful stay at Olema house on my birthday weekend trip to Point Reyes area. I wish there was more to do in the area that we could have stayed for one more night. Do note that it's quite on the pricier side - but the grounds, room, bedding, jacuzzi, decor and the attention to details justify that. The grounds are well maintained lush green and there is a small creek running by. It's pretty nice to relax and lounge around on the swings and play corn hole. They knew it was my birthday and had kept a birthday card with a bag of artisanal caramel popcorn in the room which tasted sooo good! There is a tavern attached next door where we had a dinner reservation. Food was decent and the quality was good. Overall a very nice comfortable and luxurious stay.

Glorious retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area. Love the charming, rustic-chic decor of the rooms and the special touches that the hotel offers to make the stay extra special eg- welcome bottle of wine, dog beds/treats etc. Every representative of the hotel is kind, welcoming and goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Due West, the restaurant on site, is fabulous and we love being able to walk to dinner without worrying about driving. The menu is seasonal and rotates. Make sure to try the cioppino if it's being offered. Delicious. There is also a wonderful market on site with lovely grab-and-go breakfast/lunch fare that is perfect for picnics. They also have a full coffee bar and an extensive selection of beer, wine and canned cocktails to enjoy in your room or at the many outdoor seating areas sprinkled around the property.

Small decorative details really add to the charm of this eclectic place!

My partner and I decided to celebrate Valentines Day after the real day, in this lovely place. It was an amazing experience and it made for the most romantic of celebrations because of the sparseness of this eclectic hotel. He was there for a work situation, and gifted a room after. When we first saw this place, we wanted to stay. It's very peaceful, modern and charming. When we got there, we went to the market store and got sandwiches. Things are a bit pricier in Point Reyes because of the remoteness, but I'd never had a turkey sandwich and a tuna sandwich tasted so good! We sat in the back on the patio in the sun, and enjoyed a conversation with each other. Neither of us were holding our phones, or ignoring each other! We were in a huge bed (which was actually 2 separate beds together) and it was very comfortable. There is no tv in the room, and no closet. The bathroom is built for 2 with dual shower heads. There is a speaker, where you could attach a phone and play some music. There is also a refrigerator and a tea kettle. One extra special thing was the heated floor. When evening came, we brought a card game to play and had a blast laughing and talking with each other. There were games downstairs, in a room with books and a fireplace. The place had well lit walking paths, Adirondack's all around with pillows and blankets, and small fire pits to add to the ambiance. The resort fee includes a lovely bottle of wine and some snacks, coffee and tea, both in the room and in the lounge area, so you could have your wine anywhere. I enjoyed some hot tea on one of the chairs, just looking at the brook in the back. The only opportunity I found was wanting a luggage stand, which could have been placed in the corner, next to the table, or folded up under the robes on the hooks (where one would hang their coats). My luggage got extremely warm on the heated floor. I hope to get the chance to return to this lovely place.

I'm very confused why this hotel room was $480/night (all fees included). This price also included a resort fee... I'm sorry, what resort amenities did this include? No gym, spa, fire pit, bikes. Booked a king room. There's a window over the door and no way to block out light. The attached photo was taken at night and the outside lights were so bright it looked like daytime. They included a complimentary bottle of wine and granola in the room, and coffee and tea in the common room. Tempted to rate it lower solely due to poor value. This hotel should be half the price - max.

25 years ago, we got married at Olema House (different ownership/different name at the time) and we have come back to visit roughly every 5 years since, so have a really good sense for how it has changed over time. We decided to book Olema House (again) for our 25th wedding anniversary weekend and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The venue has been greatly upgraded since we were married there, and the grounds are immaculate and covered in flowers. We stayed in the Creekside Cottage, while our guests stayed in the rest of the rooms. Gorgeous! And very private but with a lovely outdoor area for gathering. inside or out. We had two dinners catered by Due West Tavern and everyone raved about the quality of the food. The service staff was exceptional -- efficient, kind, responsive, and able to pivot immediately when we requested changes. There was not a guest there who wasn't thrilled with the whole weekend experience. For us, coordinating with the events team (Paulina, Dan, Rebecca) and the front desk staff was a dream. I left many decisions in their hands and the guidance they provided was spot on. Although we didn't bring our pugs for the weekend, my brother brought his dog and we loved how accommodating they were. They gave us a lovely gift for our anniversary, including two scarves that our pugs just love (see photos!) It truly was a special weekend in a very special place. Just a note on some of the poor reviews. Yes, it is pricey, but it is also beautifully appointed, immaculate, and has top tier service. If you have an issue, they will fix it. This is not a place you should go if you want to park yourself in front of a TV. This is a place to enjoy the beauty of the Point Reyes surroundings, cuddle in front of the fire, be spoiled by the staff, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere.

I actually enjoyed my stay here, as a photographer they were many opportunities to make some beautiful photographs. The room was comfortable. Stayed in room three, which was on the lower level facing the creek.

An ethereal and quirky lodge in a lush landscape. It's like a hotel from a British sitcom. A vulture on a tall tall dead tree loomed over the grounds at Halloween as a rush of racing Ferraris drove down the road. A deer munched under an ancient redwood tree in back. The staff is beautifully kind, though on cue one was stung by bee as we checked in. Dogs are welcome. There are no TV's or magnetic key cards. Real keys and ceiling fans and Adirondack chairs on slopped rolling lawns. Great bakery items here and down the road. Sea air. The bluffs are not too far a drive. Fireplaces and great WiFi. Elegantly understated and designed. A good vortex in a panicked world of the lost paradise of California.

Back side of the hotel. All the windows are west facing.

Horrible stay at Olema House during one of the hottest days in SF Beware that there is No AC in some of their rooms ! There is no description about having no AC on the booking page, only realized that when we arrived in a day with 100 degrees. Inside is like an oven, could not even sleep at night with all the fans on and windows open. Loft style room with bed on the upper level made it even worse. Room is tiny, bathroom has single vanity and shower only. There is limited on site parking shared with their restaurant, which was full at the time when we checked in. No free breakfast included in the $550 per night charge is very unusual for a B&B. Will never return !

Karin was such an amazing hostess from the very beginning when we got there, to the lavish exit from her property, as she had both her dogs positioned on either side of the gate at the end of her driveway as a send off. We stayed in a beautiful room with incredible views of the Nicasio reservoir. This is a must stay place for any photographer, bird lover, horse lover. It felt like we were completely in a different country, when we were only a 20 minute drive to our home. Karin made us an amazing breakfast each morning, while overlooking the reservoir, watching pelicans, falcons, and yes...bald eagles flying overhead! How incredible! Her house has several rooms to rent, and she also has a treehouse, which my daughter stayed in with her friend. They had a blast. A great skylight above the bed to stargaze. One night we enjoyed dinner at her outdoor 'cantina'. During the day, dipping our toes in the beautiful pool. The kids enjoyed chasing the little lizards that basked in the sun. The staff took meticulous notes during our final walk through and planning so everything was as envisioned. Christiana was our day of coordinator and seriously, she was the most patient and kindest person I've ever met. She was smiling the entire time, truly genuine, and had the kindest heart. No words could describe how she is as a person and I'm truly grateful to have had the privilege of working with her. As an anxious Type A person, I could not imagine how my day would have gone without having such a genuine calm person by my side. Day of, we were running about 30 minutes behind schedule, which wasn't anyone's fault. We took a bunch of photos during cocktail hour per our request, there was confusion with our escort cards on our end, and my dress had to be adjusted for every photo, oops! We still managed to adapt and the entire team, including the DJ, was flexible and calm throughout which I truly appreciated. Open bar was great and bartenders were awesome! Definitely worth the top shelf liquor package. Food was good although we had small hiccup with the prime rib and there was miscommunication about the buffet. However, I am more than happy with how management and staff handled the problem. They took accountability, ownership, and offered a resolution - that in itself to me is more than I could have asked for. With weddings or any event, there are small issues or error to arise, so I'm more than pleased with how Marisa and the team went above and beyond even after the wedding. We got a lot of compliments on the venue itself. From the outside ceremony site to the indoor ballroom, every area was stunning. All my guests are primarily from the East Bay so it was a nice change in scenery yet still close to home. Overall, I'd recommend this venue! From the staff to the vendors to the food, everyone has been a pleasure to work with. Thank you StoneTree staff, you are all wonderful!

Today's review is for Mother's Day May 10, 2026, and without knowing there was a huge Mother's Day brunch (buffet only, $46/person) we showed up, my wife wanted to see the venue, we have 2 unmarried children and I was raving over the venue in the back, fake grass, the gazebo, the redwood trees, the outdoor bar, lots of room for catering tables, dance floor...but these folks were RUDE, and I don't know if they were offsite catering or ownership employee's but when we declined the buffet, I saw there were only 2 people at the bar, I asked if we could sit at the bar and have a drink? The yes came weirdly hesitantly, so we went to the bar, I know the bartender from previous visits and confirmed with him that the only food was the buffet, so I then took my wife just to walk back to view where the wedding venue would be, folks were eating but we merely went to the back doorways which were wide open to take a look, I made it thru but a lady in a black catering style outfit stopped my wife and said you CAN'T go back there, and another lady in a flowered dress who seemed to be the boss came scurrying towards me, and so I told her our situation that we just wanted a peek, we weren't going to steal a plate and eat, and told her that honestly they were treating us like we were trying to sneak around the metal detectors into a high priced concert, and that if this is how they treat people we were going to remove their property from our list of possible venues, as it was we were prepared to drop about $150 on food and beverages today, and they lost out on that, but maybe they don't need local business. There are lots of other places to go in the county, sorry Nicasio, you have lost a repeat customer, I will not be back.

I had never seen two events on any of the days that we went in, and was not told that this would happen on our wedding day. It wouldn't have been a problem, I understand they are a business and prioritize profit, however the event before us was still occupying the tent when I got there at 4pm. The manager Shelley told me that they "could not get them to leave". My husband and guests state that the previous event finally vacated the tent around 4:05pm, leaving the team with 55 minutes to sloppily throw together our ceremony and banquet. Shelley informed me that there were three sick calls that day, leaving the management to do the set up. They completely misnumbered the tables, leaving all of our immediate family sitting in the back row. It was THEIR seating chart. With everything going on, we didn't notice until dinner had started. This error is absolutely inexcusable from a wedding venue. Since they only had less than an hour to set up our for our event, my husband and groomsmen offered to help tie the ~135 chair ties and had to stand on a ladder to help place the drapes on the ceremony awning. I don't see how the staff could have completed this without my party's help. Our guests had to wait in the cafe because nothing, including the ceremony chairs, was set up for our wedding until after 4pm. The cafe has limited seating and we had 134 guests. I had so much trust that this team would treat my wedding how I've seen them treat other weddings and quinces. If I had known this was all going on, I would have gone to facilitate and double check their inadequate work. Other major issues: 1. The food service started late and ran out and ended early. We were told there would be enough food for seconds for everyone, so we decided not to bring a lechon and lumpia. Huge mistake. Being from Asian and Hispanic backgrounds, we were completely embarrassed that the food ran out. There was not even enough bread for seconds. We even had 5 no shows so there's no excuse. 2. There were not enough appetizers. Many of our guests did not get any. 3. Our guests were told that the bar could not provide shots. That was not in our contract and alternatives were not offered. 4. The top layer of our cake was saved when it should have been served. This was in our plan, and it just went to waste rather than enjoyed by our guests. 5. They were understaffed by 3, however no one stayed over to accommodate for that. The management left before 8. Because the seating chart got completely misnumbered, there were tables without settings. Our friends had to SHARE FORKS because they could not find any staff. 6. There was no staff to guide our photographers to the banquet room as stated in the event order paperwork. They had to sit on the floor in the corner. So embarrassing 7. The manager didn't allow my husband to set up our DIY Photo Booth, breaking the contract because we should have been able to start setting up at 4. They even told us the day before that we could go at 3:30. This left us without our photo out even set up. My husband had to set it up during the wedding and we didn't have our backdrop. The good things about the venue: 1. Dog friendly 2. Trish was a great coordinator, I wish she could have managed the set up for our wedding instead of Shelley and Angela. My family said that they wouldn't even let her in to set up either and said she looked like the only person who actually care about our wedding. 3. The cake, dj, and flowers were great While the management's response was apologetic, there were so many excuses including "they're human and make mistakes". I understand this, but the numerous significant errors made on our wedding day felt almost intentional. I think the fraction of a refund was just to get me to stop complaining and not escalate the matter. Considering we paid for the elite package for 126 adults and 8 kids in July (most expensive package with highest facility fees), I thought we would've been treated at least as well as the other events that we saw. Fairview Metropolitan fell so short of how I've personally seen them perform and caused us so much embarrassment and shame on from our wedding day. I could never recommend it to anyone. I would say so much more if there wasn't a character limit. Huge thumbs down.

I didn't care much about the details I honestly left so much in their hands and I loved how everything turned out! Despite the few hiccups we had a month out, Angela truly took care of us making sure she had plan B's up her sleeve! This team is amazing and I do hope to work with them for other events down the road!
