Before leaving Orlando, decided to head to International Dr and Icon park for lunch. Parking at Icon Park (8351 international dr) is free, easy walk to Blake Sheltons restaurant "Ole Red". The most amazing "guy with a guitar" and food was very good. Music was just loud enough to be enjoyable, not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with those at your table. Y'all I am from Indiana and before we got here I though it was Ole' Red. I thought it was a taco place. It IS NOT. It's Ol' Red but spelled Ole. After looking this up in the dictionary (yes I did girl, yes I did) that's what the dictionary says but my family is from KY so we say Ol' dog or Ol' lady. Anyways, my bad for not being up on Floridian I guess. Ole Red is fine if you're looking for a place with live entertainment and a cool bar. I can't speak for the drinks because I didn't partake. Passing through Orlando and we came across Ole Red. From the minute we arrived to when we left we had a fantastic time. Walked right in and found two seats at the bar in front of the stage and dance floor. The music was great, we had three friendly bartenders who stood their ground with respect when they had to cut off another guests. We didn't eat here but the food we did see looked great. There are two floors and the second floor has the complimentary mechanical bull, a lot of fun to be had, just don't drink too much prior to. Parking was easy and complementary in the structure nearby. There is plenty to do in this area and makes for a great night out. We highly recommend visiting Ole Red. Cheers! read more

We tried Ole Red while visiting Orlando. We were very dissapointed as we have been wanting to try this place because I really like Blake Shelton. The food was not great. We had fried pickles as an appetizer, the redneck nachos and the pulled pork sandwich. The fried pickles were fantastic. The food was not. The nachos had huge chunks of ground beef and the tortilla chips were soggy. Our server was nice and courteous. They had live music which made it fun. We will not be back. read more

We've come by here before but it was right when they reopened during the pandemic and it was reservation only. We heard the live music and it seemed like a great ambiance. We knew we wanted to try it on our next trip. This time around they don't take reservations at all. We walked in on a Saturday at 8 and we were I think #13 on the waitlist for a party of 2. We waited about 45 minutes for a table. It can be tricky though because they don't have a time limit for tables so some people hang out ordering drinks and enjoy the live music. They text you when the table is ready so you have some freedom to roam a bit while waiting. We hung by the bar and ordered a drink and enjoyed the music while waiting. I found the food to be pretty good. My sandwich could've used a bit more bbq sauce. My boyfriend's turkey shoot burger was not something he really enjoyed. He said he wouldn't order that again. This place is really just great for it's ambiance. All great vibes - the crowd was super interactive. There is a dance floor that people were taking advantage of. My biggest downfall is the service but I do understand that the restaurant is in a touristy area and it gets busy. I can't knock the waitress because I don't think it was genuinely bad service I just think that she was super busy. I would certainly return here for appetizers and drinks. I decided to visit on a Friday evening. Since Ole Red doesn't take reservations, I took a risk and went inside around 7:30 in the evening. There was some crowd, but I did see some empty tables. And indeed, I got very lucky and was seated immediately at one of the tables downstairs. The drink prices looked quite expensive, even with the "keep the glass/mug" gimmick, so I settled with a mocktail that had Sierra Mist, Ginger ale, and peach puree for 7 dollars. It was served in a disposable plastic cup, and was quite a sugary drink. But I did enjoy the peach puree at the bottom, which provided the fruity flavor. For my entree, I took the pulled pork sandwich with tater tots (16 dollars). It came at a reasonable time, but the food reminded me of Sonny's BBQ. Nothing outstanding or great, but it was above average with a good amount of pork. Unfortunately, the pork was a bit dry, and lacked flavor. The BBQ sauce helped. The slaw inside the sandwich was ok, but I didn't care for the bread, so I took it out and just ate what was inside. The pickles and tots on the side farm much better. The pickle had a nice sweet flavor and was crisp, and the tots had a good amount of potatoes. The food tasted very rich and filling, even when the portions looked on the smaller size. I can indeed taste the calories and fat. For dessert, I settled with the banana pudding (5 dollars), which was good, but didn't care for the whipped cream or wafer on top. I would say the pudding was on par or a bit better than Publix. The service was friendly and relatively quick. My server was quite sweet and helpful, but I found the security staff to just be nonchalant. They could smile more, but they were not rude. The main gimmick of this restaurant is the live music and it was entertaining. The music was mostly country, and piped county music was playing in the background when the band was taking a break. The stage is at the center with a bar in the back, so it isn't too difficult to view the band in any seat. Plus, there were TV monitors that were showing the live music as well. The second floor has more seats and another bar, and if you are lucky to come on a Friday night, they bring a mechanical bull that you can ride. It is free if you have a receipt, but looks like they didn't enforce it. If you enjoy live county music, then I can recommend Ole Red. They have almost non-stop music from the afternoon to late evening. However the food is mostly Sonny's quality, which is nothing special. You will be paying not only with the higher prices, but with the calories and fat as well. It's the live music that brings the crowd, and the mechanical bull on Fridays that lured me in. If you want to visit, go when it doesn't get busy, else you may have to wait a while. Parking is free at the garage, but it will be difficult during the busy hours. I find this overall a decent restaurant for the tourists wanting BBQ food and enjoying live country music. read more

Ole Red delivers on a good time. They have live music with first come first serve seating. Drinks are served fast and mixed well. It's probably a good idea to eat before you come. The food used to be amazing. I especially enjoyed the southern tarter tot poutine. It has fried cheese curds, pulled pork, white gravy, green onions and a fried egg. Their wings and ribs were also very good. Unfortunately my last three visits the food has been disappointing and I no longer have favorites. Came for the first time for dinner on a Friday night and I absolutely loved the vibes. They had live music and mostly playing country and rock music. It was loud so it was hard to have a conversation. The service was ok , but definitely could have been better, they lacked following up to make sure it was ok and our server took forever to come back to the table for us to place our order. For the food both of my kids enjoyed their food. I had the chicken and waffles which was very very good. The chicken was crispy and had lots of flavor (not dry). The waffles weren't crispy but had a nice consistency. I really enjoyed it. My mom had the wings which she liked. The were juicy and not dry. She also had a order of tots were very delicious. Hahah this place sucks so much Live music is always cool so that part was good even though country music sucks. But everything else about this tourist trap is the worst. Poor service with all 6 tables seated in the same part of one server's section. I could reach my arms out and touch three other tables, while none of the other tables - none on the far side, none of the booths, none of the upstairs, were occupied. All of us, clumped into one tiny group. One porkchop meal was gristly and not very good, and clocked in at $23. A $13 kids meal was a handful of fries and a mac & cheese cup. I got the Southern Gentleman burger, which boasted a wagyu beef patty, fried green tomato, and pimento cheese. The pimento (caviar of the south!) was good, everything else was terrible. The wagyu patty was just plain grey meat, firm and gross and probably just thawed out off the back of a US Foods truck. The fried green tomato was awful; a half inch thick slice that was about an inch in diameter, so it covered about two bites of burger. Just awful. These tourist trap places have to be taken with a very healthy dose of skepticism. Blorke Shilton is making his millions off of this endeavor regardless of whether or not I come here, so I feel even more embarrassed that I dropped $92 for a terrible lunch here. Every Floridian should boycott Orlando wholesale and just leave it to European tourists. read more

I was visiting ICON Park and was absolutely starving, so I stopped in to Ole Red. I was immediately seated up by the stage with an unobstructed view. I ordered a drink, burger, and tots. The drink was nice and strong, the burger was perfectly cooked, and the tots were incredibly tasty. Service was top notch. A live band was playing when I came in, and another one was there by the time I left. Having live entertainment is an amazing feature here. There is also a little souvenir shop by the main entrance. The vibe is absolutely electric! If I ever return to Orlando, I will definitely come back!!! read more

Came here for dinner on one of our stays in Orlando. Greeted at the door and staff was very friendly and welcoming. LARGE bar area in the center of the restaurant. This place is HUGE! Right when you walk in you are immediately drawn to the stage which is front and center with large screens for the projecting of whomever is on stage. There is an upstairs as well as a gift shop. There's also a cardboard cutout of Blake Shelton that we couldn't pass up taking pictures with. This is definitely a place we're coming back to. Food -- amazingly delicious. The fried chicken and the mashed potatoes (yes, cheating this weekend because this is clearly not keto) were absolutely delicious. You can taste the pickle brine on the chicken and it's throughout, not just on the skin. It has be drooling for more as I'm writing this review. Mashed potatoes were loaded so they had cheese and I believe bacon bits in them. WOW were they delicious. Loved the salad as well. I did sample the Mac and cheese and just wasn't a fan. Just too cheesy for me - like the thickness of the cheese was not something that I preferred. Drinks --- I had a skinny margarita, amoretto sour, and some of their sangria. All were wonderful! Bar staff was super friendly and the drinks were great, not watered down. During our visit, Sister Hazel performed. I don't think there is a table within the place that is bad. We were on the first floor and over to the side, however had a clear view of them and their performance was amazing. They even stuck around after for pictures and interactions with the fans. Awaiting our reservation at a nearby restaurant, we stumbled upon Ole Red while walking around. We had been at the location in Nashville just a few months prior and didn't know this location existed. Of course, we immediately went in and grabbed some drinks while listening to the live music. All was good as the band was entertaining and interacting with the audience, people were dancing, and the beer was cold. The food being delivered to tables looked good so I would definitely give it a try next time we are in the area. If not in the mood to eat, you should def stop by for drinks and the live music. First time coming to this restaurant It is owned by Blake Shelton and one of only 6 in country It's located in Icon Park in Orlando My son and I went there l early Tuesday evening and we got seated quickly as it wasn't crowded yet We ordered the bbq pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches and these cool small mason jar desserts that come in small jar. Banana pudding and cheese cake Everything was very good and the service was excellent They also had an excellent guitar player singing old country songs with a full band starting later We are definitely going back I love the unique menu and the music. To be honest we didn't really have this restaurant on our radar as it would be of interest to me as a country lover, but not for my husband as he isn't a big fan. But, the Yelpies had a bag pick-up here and we were able to sit down and have a meal while we were there and we were very happy with the experience. They have live music every night and the stage is the focal point of all the seating, which means that every seat is a good seat for enjoying the performance. The tots with beer cheese are definitely good - so try those. They have a full-bar and extensive amount of options for you to order for drinks. They also have a list of cocktails that they serve there as custom orders, which is great to try for fun. We have been back since the initial pick up and had a solid experience then as well. Wife had been dying to come here. We won't be back. I had the HELL RIGHT N.Y. STRIP 12-oz Cajun Spiced, Blue Cheese Crust, Onion Straws, Natural Cut Fries for $33. It was cooked very well and had good flavor but there were no onion straws and I'd hardly call dumping blue cheese on it and putting it under a broiler for 10 seconds, encrusted. This was at best a $22 steak and presentation. The rest of the food was delicious but again over priced. Lastly we came her because of the live music however on the night we'd visited there was a couple of guys playing guitar and the one singing was tone def and tried to sing every cover song with the voice of the original artist. She was also cute which is always a plus! I went with the Pulled Pork Sandwich @ $13. I sprang for the house made Tots for an additional $7. Yikes! Can you say tourist prices! I also had a couple of draft beers which were nice and cold. Everything was out quickly, and I need to say; these were not your Mama's Tots! They were huge and crispy on the outside and moist inside and heavy! They were also under seasoned which was quickly remedied with some S&P. If you finish these bad boys along with your sandwich, good luck walking! My sandwich was spot on. Plenty of moist, tender pork with slaw on top. Sauce on the side. The small mound of pickles with slivered onions were to die for. I dreamed about those that night! If you like country music, this would be a great spot to meet with like-minded friends. Ice cold beer never broke my heart and boy are the beers ice cold here, I grabbed a seat at the bar and slung my bag of Yelp Swag on the hook provided - it's not often a man gets to use one of these purse hooks so when the opportunity presents itself use it. I scanned the QR code on the bar and the menu popped up on my iPhone just as my bartender arrived rag in hand to wipe the counter. I ordered the Modelo Especial on draft - a pilsner-style lager that when served iced cold it makes me smile. The talent was on the stage belting out a cover song and I was wearing half the head from my beer like a mustache on Johnny Ringo in the 1880's while the music in the background resembled the howling of a coyote, a two-note melody that is a frequent motif, from a Clint Eastwood movie. I thought the staff running the bar were attentive but not overly, I looked over the menu at the food photos as the condensation ran off the rim of my glass - smoked wings with a side of jalapeños, a small cruet of hot sauce and a second filled with ranch dressing, a blue tick burger with white cheddar cooked medium and a side of homemade tater-tots. The wings are large maybe jumbo much smaller than a pterodactyls but much larger than a quail's wings, smoked and served naked. I absolutely thought the burger was above board the bread and butter pickles were a nice touch. The homemade tots were creative and artistic but heavy and even served with a side of ketchup struggled to make the grade. This is a beautiful venue, a little touristy but you have to understand the location is in ICON Park so to be fair it meets the standard and represents the area well. I came here with little expectations and after experiencing it, it definitely didn't disappoint- I'd return for the music and the beer with a side of something - maybe that pulled pork and slaw sandwich will ring the bell next trip... read more

Normally, Ole Red wouldn't be on my Radar, but as the pickup point for free stuff and the lure of a 15% off coupon, I decided to give it a try. And with a decent looking Vegan burger on the menu, instead of just popping in to pick up my swag and eating Ben and Jerry's for dinner, I decided to give it a try. I would characterize this place as a Live Music Venue which serves food and drinks, more than a restaurant. Be aware that during your visit, you'll be listening to some rather loud country music. If you plan on having any type of conversation with people your with, this may not be a good place to do that. Judging by the people singing along to the music, I would say a majority of folks understood this. The Nacho Average Vegan Burger was one of the Best Vegan Burgers I've had. Normally, when a place adds a Vegan Burger to their menu, that's them phoning it in and pandering. But this burger had a vegan nacho cheese sauce and a slew of other toppings that was well thought out and well executed. They also had a salad with a vegan ranch dressing, so they're doing more than offering oil and vinegar! Kudos to whoever developed the menu. I chose the tots as a side for my burger and they were, well, inconsistent. Some were deliciously crispy where you can see the strands of potatoes. Some were mushy and felt like there were mashed potatoes in them. It was weird when going from Tot to Tot to Tot to Tot to Tot. The Service was Ok. It's what you'd expect in a touristy music bar. You had to wait for refills and wait when paying the bill. The food came out quickly which was nice but nobody stopped over to check how things were. And upon leaving, usually the hostesses say something like "thanks for coming" or something along those lines, but there was nothing. Personally, it's not my cup of tea, but with some excellent vegan options, I'll rate it 4 stars. They can improve the service a little and get some tot consistency. I'm sure you could even do some vegan nachos or something since they have some of the ingredients. If you're a fan of live country music, you'll enjoy and pay a premium to enjoy as well. read more

Huge props to Meghan on her excellent service that really made my experience here top notch! Anyways, I had no idea that Blake Shelton has his own restaurant, but I am glad he does! I was surprised with how affordable and tasty the dishes at this restaurant were and on top of that live music! I had the Turkey Shoot Burger and the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit...and oh my goodness gracious...both were fantastic!! The Turkey Shoot Burger is outrageous and wonderfully messy stacked with onion rings, but just what you would want in a larger than life burger. Very juicy too for being turkey so that was a win too! My favorite dish though is the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit. A perfectly spiced chicken with a flaky biscuit and cooling slaw that was just a joy. Simple, but sooo good! Lots of good contrasting flavors and textures that I just adored. They also have this habanero mayo that has a beautiful heat that makes it for me! This restaurant is large and spacious with two stories surrounding an open stage where they have nightly live music! The food is what you would expect in a touristy spot- along with the prices. I met up with some friends here the other night and enjoyed some food and drinks. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and pickles which were out of this world yummy. Wasn't too salty and very crunchy! Served with ranch and bbq sauce. 5/5! The Nashville Hot Chicken on a biscuit (request the hot) was good. I'm not sure what I was expecting it to taste like, but the flavor wasn't really what I was envisioning. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty but it wasn't up my alley. The chicken was extra juicy and tender though. The heat wasn't overpowering either! 3/5 I ordered the white sangria and for 11 bucks, not sure it was completely worth it. It had great flavor, not too sweet--- but I'm not sure I tasted much wine in it at all (and I'm a lightweight). Hah!
