We knew which seats we were reserving when making our reservation. The venue accommodated two women who wanted to sit in the middle of the 6 person couch, and intended to split our party. Imagine if our party of 4 sat in the middle and split their party of 2. Same difference. Management was apologetic but moved us to table 5. My issue is these are not the front row seats that we paid for and reserved & the venue was not first come first serve. The owner's wife refused to honor our reserved seats and made accommodations for the two women who sat in the middle of a 6 person couch. It would be one thing if our tickets didn't have a seat number.... We've been to this venue at least 6x before coming to Ikons of Rock for the first time. I couldn't even enjoy the show because the lack of hospitality really killed the vibe for me.

The ribs were a legit rack though. It also came with a side of fries, slaw and pickles. Ribs were tasty. I also added a side of gumbo. The gumbo was meh. I don't think I will order that next time. Kids ordered mostly Mac n cheese with a side of fruit. One ordered the cheeseburger with a side of fries. Kids ate all of their fruit and just some of their Mac; the one with the cheeseburger finished all of her food. The kids meals did not come with drinks. Overall, we left full. Service was great. Music was good. Kids were a different story. Since we were a party of 5+, everyone was put on one bill and gratuity automatically added. They are also a non-cash establishment.. which is kind of weird since it's in a casino. But just a heads up. I would definitely come back if I or friends were staying here. I don't think I would go out of my way to come dine here specifically though.

But it was no warmer than 60 degrees on the main floor. Maybe colder. I get that it's 110 degrees outside but I'd rather be in that heat for three hours than freezing my freaking ass off. My friends agreed they were chilled to the bone. The cheap folding chairs (I mean... have you seen the ticket prices? REALLY??) added insult to injury.

Our favorite punk band, The Mormons, happened to be playing here which is what drew us in. Truly feels like a quintessential Vegas dive bar. Bartenders weren't overly friendly, just there to do their job, but they served beers / cocktails quickly. We had a few PBR's which were $5 each. Fellow patrons were really friendly. I even made a friend during the show! For anyone with sensitive ears, the speakers are LOUD, so be sure to bring your ear protection. I loved the loud music, but my husband was suffering a bit. As per a usual dive bar, it is also smoky inside. If cigarette smoke bothers you, snag a spot near the entrance since they leave the door open for fresh air. This was everything I expected from a dive bar with a small stage for cool bands. We'll be back!

The show is heavily dependent on how much you're willing to dance to the music with whoever else is with you. If everyone stands around while the performers dance around you, it's going to feel like a long show. When I went, I had just arrived back from a cruise to Jamaica maybe 2-3 days earlier. Of course I came back with a terrible sunburn and physically couldn't dance because my skin hurt so bad. Lol of course. I felt bad because I try to be a good sport so the performers don't feel bad if everyone isn't participating, but all I could do is sway. Ole Red Las Vegas -- We Came for Blake Shelton... Stayed for the Nachos! Let me set the scene... We're in Las Vegas, my wife is a HUGE Blake Shelton fan, and somehow I found myself walking into Ole Red. Our original mission was simple: check out the gift shop. But it was getting close to lunchtime, and if there's one thing I've learned after years of traveling with my wife, never walk past a restaurant when you're hungry! So we decided to grab a table, enjoy some lunch, and listen to the live entertainment. I honestly don't remember the singer's name, but WOW -- she was really good! Great voice, great country vibe, and it made the whole experience feel like we had stepped into a little piece of Nashville right in the middle of Las Vegas. The decor is fantastic. Think upscale honky tonk meets Las Vegas, with plenty of country personality without feeling cheesy. It's lively, comfortable, and definitely has that "sit down, grab a drink, and stay awhile" kind of atmosphere. And as luck would have it, it was National Hamburger Day, so my wife took that as a sign from the Vegas gods and ordered the Redneck Burger -- a cheeseburger with fries. I decided to go with the Redneck Nachos, and let me tell you... these things were HUGE! We're talking tortilla chips loaded with taco meat, sour cream, salsa and guacamole. This wasn't some little appetizer you nibble on while waiting for your meal. This thing showed up looking like it had plans for the rest of the afternoon! And then there was our server, Trina. She was super friendly, attentive, and did a fantastic job taking care of us. Great service can make a good meal even better, and Trina definitely delivered. What started as "Let's just look at the Blake Shelton gift shop" turned into lunch, live music, big nachos, a cheeseburger, and a pretty darn good time. That's one of the things I love about Vegas. You can walk in somewhere with absolutely no plans and suddenly find yourself saying, "Well... I guess we're having lunch here!" If you're a country music fan, a Blake Shelton fan, or just looking for something with a little more personality than your typical Las Vegas restaurant, Ole Red is definitely worth a stop. I recently checked out Ole Red in Las Vegas, and it was a fun, high-energy spot that really captures that Nashville honky-tonk vibe right on the Strip. The place is massive--three levels with the stage smack in the middle, so no matter where you sit, you're close to the action. The live music is unbelievably good; the bands were talented and kept the energy going strong all night. If you've ever been to Nashville, this feels just like it--rowdy, country tunes, and a great atmosphere once you're inside. That said, the food is pretty mediocre. It's not bad, but nothing outstanding, and it takes a while to come out. Service can be slow when it's packed, which it usually is. Be prepared to wait for a table too--lines form, especially during peak hours on the weekend. The location is prime, right next to the Horseshoe Casino on Las Vegas Blvd at Flamingo, but parking is a hassle (like everywhere on the Strip), and it's often a bit of a walk from wherever you end up stashing the car. Highlights for me were the ribs--they're house-smoked, tender, and flavorful with that signature Ole Red BBQ sauce--and the cornbread, which comes warm and is seriously delicious. I recently had an extremely upsetting experience at this establishment. My friends and I were simply enjoying ourselves and laughing at a reasonable volume, causing no disturbance to others, when another table complained about us. During their complaint, they used a derogatory word beginning with "f," a homophobic slur directed toward the three gay men in our group. What made this ordeal even more distressing was the staff's reaction: absolutely nothing was done. The waiter neither apologized nor addressed the hateful language used right in front of us. There was no effort to create a safe or inclusive environment, and we were left to process a genuinely traumatic encounter on our own. It soured what should have been a beautiful trip so much that we ended it early. If you are outside of the homogenous clientele they seem to cater to, I would strongly advise finding another establishment, one that will not only defend its paying customers but also makes everyone feel welcome, no matter their race or sexual orientation. In this economic climate, nobody should spend hard-earned money at an establishment that tolerates bigotry or turns a blind eye to violent, discriminatory language. For transparency, we reached out to management and asked them to contact me before I left this review, but I received no call or email in response. We visited Ole Red on the last day of our trip to Las Vegas, and I'm so glad we finally made it! We had been talking about checking it out and decided to stop by for a late breakfast around 11:30 am. The atmosphere immediately stood out with its laid-back, country vibe and cool decor, including a tractor hanging from the ceiling! To top it off, there was live music playing when we arrived, which really added to the experience. I ordered the Honky-Tonk Crispy Chicken Salad, and my wife had the Ahi Tuna Salad. Both salads were delicious and full of flavor! My wife also enjoyed a beer, and while they offered some fun souvenir glasses that looked like mugs, we passed on them because we didn't have the space to bring them back. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. One of the standout features is that the restaurant has several floors with balconies and even a rooftop with an amazing view of the Strip. It's the perfect spot to take in the sights while enjoying a great meal or drink. Over the weekend, my friends and I decided to check out Ole Red for some drinks and bites. Upon arriving, we attempted to enter the restaurant from the second-floor bridge, only to be informed that seating arrangements couldn't be made there and that we needed to head downstairs and join the line. This was puzzling, especially since there was a sign indicating to "come in and wait to be seated." After a 15-minute wait downstairs, we were seated. I went to wash my hands and noticed that the area near the restrooms on the ground floor was flooded. Opting for the upstairs restroom, I found a long line but waited nonetheless. Back at our table, our server was attentive, and we promptly ordered drinks. However, about 10 minutes into waiting for our food, the band announced that everyone had to evacuate due to a non-emergency situation. We waited for our server to bring the check, which took a bit of time, and there was a noticeable lack of empathy from the staff regarding the inconvenience. While I'm open to giving Ole Red another shot, my initial experience was less than stellar. In summary, while Ole Red has potential, my first visit had its challenges. A 5 star rating is not high enough for Ole Red Las Vegas. What started off as a curious look into the bar turned out to be the most memorable part of my wheelchair bound 82 yr old mother's bucket list trip! The entire staff worked as a team to ensure their customer's experience was fantastic. Our server Annie L. was the epitome of hospitality - her welcoming smile, along with charm and exemplary ability to oversee her section sets the standard for great service. The entire Team front the host who seats you to the busers who are on top of cleanliness, to the manager who was supporting her whole team to the security staff that assisted us when we were leaving - all of them combined were amazing. Also thank you Chef and your kitchen team our food was tasty, filling and really well presented. To top this off was The Sand River Band - fantastic music and true showmanship. Y'all, let me tell you somethin'--if you ain't been to Ole Red in Las Vegas yet, you better saddle up and get on down there faster than a tumbleweed in a twister! This place is a honky-tonk heaven, where the music's hot, the drinks are cold, and the folks treat you like kin. Now, I gotta tip my cowboy hat to Cal, our waitress, who deserves her own platinum record in the Service Hall of Fame. Cal was sweeter than grandma's peach cobbler and twice as quick. She checked on us so often, I half expected her to pull up a chair and join the party! Every time my drink was lower than a heartbroke country song, there she was, fillin' it up with a smile brighter than a neon sign on the Strip. The whole staff was friendlier than a golden retriever at a BBQ, chattin' us up like we were long-lost cousins. They know how to keep the good times rollin' and made us feel right at home, even in the middle of Sin City. I checked out Ole Red over a couple nights and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The service was outstanding both times--whether we were up on the rooftop one night or down near the first-floor stage the next, the staff was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. I tried the burgers, and while they were decent, they didn't quite live up to the price point. Not bad by any means, just not something I'd go out of my way for. Where this place really shines is the music and atmosphere. The sound level was just right--not overpowering--so you could still enjoy the performance without shouting over it. There was also a great variety of music, which kept things interesting. The band, Thomas Cain, was excellent and definitely a highlight of the experience. All in all, great service and live music make Ole Red worth a visit--just don't go in expecting the food to be the main attraction. read more

Unfortunately, that's where the good things ended. The food was terrible--bland, overpriced, and not at all worth what we paid. A burger and a chicken sandwich should not cost what they do here, especially when they taste so underwhelming. The "special" drinks were a major letdown at over $25 each, and they tasted watered down. We were shocked when our bill came out to over $150 for just two drinks, a burger, and a sandwich. Had a great time at Ole Red with 4 friends. The two duos we saw perform were great, and the server we had, also amazing. The ONE huge complaint I have, is WTH is with the 'attendants' (I use that loosely) in the washrooms?? Really? I've been on vacation in third world countries (Cuba for one) where they have attendants that will peel off a few squares of TP for a tip. This is VEGAS! Guy's on his phone while I wash my hands, then suddenly comes to life and hesitatingly peels off 3 sections of towel for me to dry my hands - with the tip jar right there. My wife and I are in Vegas for a wedding and let me just say!! Lexi is AMAZING! We came in through the belagio entrance and she immediately greeted us with a smile, we asked about the venue and she told us everything we needed to know about each floor, she even told us about the bands playing on stage and the retail store! Here's the thing, we walked past Ole Red the last time we were in Vegas and vowed the next time we were in town we'd visit. We'll roll on a year and we did just that. Let's get to that moment....we loved it. Honestly, what's not to love. Fabulous live band, "Beyond the Arrow". Our server, Alex P (and we asked for his name) looked after us so well. And a venue at the heart of The Strip...oh and the food...well the portions would have fed the masses, but flavourwise was Beyond spot on. We had almost hours on the first floor overlooking the stage. Our bill, 4 mains plus cocktails, cocktails and pints galore...less than $600...which included a 22% tip. Came to Ole Red and had a great time, it was our first time. The place is huge, we ordered nachos and that can feed at least 4 people for sure. Got sent to 3rd floor and was met by a very sweet and pretty lady named Monyca. She was very helpful with menu , very knowledgeable and sat us in a great table, I don't really think there is a bad seat. I wanted to stay later but we had plans. The rooftop bar is beautiful and will be back to hang out there for sure after Monyca suggested we check it out before we left. Wow what a view. Me and my wife are in Vegas for the week, we came back to this place only to be greeted by Lexi again!! She is the most positive hostess I've seen at a restaurant, she makes sure you're happy with where you are seated and is very personable and funny with the guests. The last 2 times we have visited ole red our experience has been nothing but amazing not only with Lexi but also our server Carla. Carla made sure we were doing okay multiple times and was very accommodating! Lexi is so smiley and she is the exact type of person who is great at being at the front entrance of the restaurant. I recently visited Ole Red in Vegas and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The views from the bar are stunning, giving you a perfect backdrop of the vibrant Vegas strip. Her balanced and delicious drinks are a cut above the typical, too-sweet drinks you might expect at venues like this. John and the entire staff at Ole Red were absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. I usually never leave reviews-however-after being served by Roger~aka~Vegas~at Ole Red in Vegas-I just had to! Roger was like talking to a friend-not a waiter-but a friend. He suggested certain meals and the we decided on the crispy chicken salad and please let me just tell you because this salad was delicious! Really sick of getting ripped off by these strip restaurants hyped by "influencers". Alot of these influencers have no idea what they're talking about. This is getting old real fast. Lots of these types of places are shutting down and rightfully so. Until these strip tourist traps start upping the quality and value they will keep dropping like flies. Fool me once....
