I've been driving by this shop for years and they always have some super unique and rare European sports cars parked outside. Often times there are six figure Porsches parked here so one can trust these guys know what they are doing. After moving back to the area, my BMW had been shifting poorly following a transmission oil flush I had performed in CA. I suspected it was under filled and decided to give this shop a call. Greg was kind enough to fit me into his busy schedule to take a look at my transmission a day later and confirmed that my oil was about 1L under filled. He topped it off and test drove to confirm no damage had been sustained and my car drives wonderfully again. Was charged for oil and a very reasonable hour of labor. Was able to get reimbursed by the prior shop for the charges too since they made a mistake. read more

I was idling in line for a coffee pickup when my check engine light came on and the engine started to growl. I called my Mercedes service and they said I could drop the car off, but they would not be able to look at it till Monday and they had no loaner cars and no access to a car rental. first of all don't believe any of these highly suspicious one star negative reviews. if you notice they are from (probably bogus) people who do not live in the area - Bergen, Union county, etc. the reality is this is an old time excellent garage where you can drop off your vehicle and receive quality service at a good price. no need to even ask for a quote from the golden age of service stations. read more

Bar none one of the finest mechanics around. Reasonable and honest. Courteous and Friendly. Will not recommend unnecessary repairs but will find out what is ailing on your vehicle. Drive by on any given day and you'll usually see Mercedes, BMWs, Audis, Jaguars, Range Rovers, and Porsches being serviced. On occasion, you may also see a Maserati, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce -- or something even more exotic -- in the bays. This alone should tell you something about the guys at Oldwick. They know what they're doing. Don't let the quaintness of the shop fool you, either. IIRC, the owner told me that he spends $100k plus a year on software per brand to keep up to date with the latest technology. In addition, they work quickly, and are reasonably priced compared to dealership rates. My only wish is that they offer me a Porsche as a loaner car when my car is in the shop. Unfortunately, my experience with this business are startlingly similar to Rebecca N.'s below. My family and I stopped by this establishment on our way to PA for simple help with a broken wiper blade. I pulled up to the garage and politely asked if they sold new wiper blades and received no response whatsoever from a man working in the garage area. I asked again, just in case he didn't hear me. I only received a terse "hold on" while he hurried off to a patron who pulled in after me. I waited for another several minutes until all other customers were taken care of (mainly near the gas pumps) and, when quiet, asked again about wiper blades to which I received zero response. To be clear, this man heard me as I was only several feet away and no one else was around. He was outright and blatantly ignoring me. I decided to walk over to an older gentleman on the other side of the lot working on a car to ask about blades since the other worker had no interest in even speaking to me let alone help me. I again asked about blades to which he turned around and yelled, "what makes you think I care about your problem??" After getting the message loud and clear that I was not going to get help at this establishment, I left. I was absolutely astounded that any establishment would choose to treat a customer this way. As a lifelong tri-state area resident, I don't expect politeness but do at least expect not to be run-off rudely, obnoxiously, and for no apparent reason. Let me start off by saying this is absolutely the best repair shop in the state of New Jersey. My family and I have been going to this shop for over the last 30 years having a number of Mercedes and BMWs serviced there. They are very knowledgeable about all makes and models including both foreign and domestic. The quality of workmanship is outstanding and the prices are very reasonable as compared to dealer prices and other repair shops. Over the years I have stopped by the garage numerous times to have minor problems fixed, such as a headlight or tail light bulb replaced, wiper blades replaced, etc. There has never been a time when they could not immediately help me out. My husband and I have been coming here to have our cars (Audi and Mercedes) service for years. They are reasonable and honest and they know their cars. But more importantly, you can count on them when you need their help. My car was involve in an accident and had to go thru the insurance company recommended body shop and when I had issues with them, and seek out Greg for assistance, he promptly assist me with his depth of knowledge even willing to have my car towed to his garage till I can resolve the issue. Do not go here the manager just likes to argue. The place is over priced and every time I go there something else goes wrong. One time they diagnosed my car and told me my oxygen sensors needed to be changed and that's why the engine light was on but found out it had nothing to do with the oxygen sensor according to Land Rover dealership it was only a bad abs sensor. Absolutely horrible experience! Not only was the owner of this establishment inconsiderate and rude, but I felt an underlying tone of racism in the way he treated my family and I. Unfortunately, we had to stop here in the middle of rush hour because it is the closest gas station to route 78 by exit 24 and we were running on fumes. The situation was compounded by Our daughter's need to use the bathroom. When we arrived I asked if we could use the bathroom for our child, the owner snickered and told us absolutely not. After sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour, our daughter began to cry. When I asked him to then just quickly give me $10 in gas so I could take her to another stop, I noticed it barely moved the needle, so I asked him to please add more. He proceeded to tell me he wouldn't and closed the tank and told me he did me a favor by taking below the $15 minimum as he threw my credit card back into my hands. The minimum was not posted anywhere, nor did I know. I asked him again to add some more, as GPS was saying the next stop was further than I had gas for; he refused and then gave me his back as he then tended to another costumer. I sat there with not enough gas to get to another bathroom and a crying child in my back seat. I couldn't help but feel discriminated against on a number of different levels. Absolutely appalling way to treat customers, and residents of the area. I was stunned to find out he was the owner of the station. I can't imagine how this person can do business with such an attitude and demeanor. read more

I had a minor issue with my Mercedes. They checked it out and diagnosed everything properly. I know this because it was a transmission issue and my trans had just been serviced a couple months prior. I am glad that I found this garage. Greg is very prompt in responding (via phone or email) and friendly. I strongly believe they are honest, reasonable, and do not try to sell something by telling scary stories. My 2006 Mercedes transmission went really bad. Car was diagnosed at three different places prior to visiting this garage. Oldwick Village Garage did a great job in rebuilding the transmission in reasonable price and gave 2 year unlimited miles warranty (though there is a minor issue while stopping the car and Greg is working with me to fix it). If you live in Flemington area, then I would say Oldwick Garage is the only place to go. read more

I am here from Florida and my car developed a problem with the electrical system. We called and they told us to bring it in at once . I have an extended service contract which Oldwick said they could use and did all the leg work to get them to pay for the repair. This garage has top of the line techs. The staff treated me with 100% professionalism. I only wish that in Florida we had a service garage of such professionalism with great techs. Very disappointed with the service. My sisters car run out of gas, the two attendants were about to close the station, and instead of filling up my sisters car they told her to drive another five miles (where she wouldn't have enough gas to make it) to another gas station. That's is poor service never going back and no wonder they have a help wanted sign. They need all the help they can get... If I could post zero stars I would. What a mistake I made scheduling my car for repairs at the Oldwick Village Garage. This place was recommended to me by a co-worker who had nothing but great things to say about them. It just proves the old saying that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. In any case, what a mistake I made even scheduling an appointment with these guys. I called a week in advance and was assured they would have a loaner car for me. So.....day of the appointment I get up an hour early for the hour drive from my home to what I was told would be the best repair facility around. I get there early in the morning as per their request and was told OH, we don't have a loaner for you! Really? Apparently they tried calling the evening prior to the appointment but left no message. Any idea how many scam and spam phone calls we all get everyday. So leave a message, those I return. Oh and hey, what about calling again the morning of the appointment? Nothing. They may know how to repair cars there but there is no courtesy given at this place. So now, I take my car elsewhere and the Oldwick Village Garage will never see me or my money, EVER ! I have never before posted a negative review. I was there on a rainy Sunday morning when my tire blew out on the GSP. I was driving by myself on the rim and needed help. The mechanic met me as I was driving up, told me "I can't help you, you need to be towed out of here". I'm not upset that he didn't have the parts needed to help me. What really bothered me was his incredibly rude manner. I was an hour from home, by myself and had no idea where I was or what was near the area. He made his pronouncement and disappeared without a backward glance. Some basic compassion would have gone a long way with me that rainy morning. I had no idea even what town I was in. The woman pumping gas was much kinder. She couldn't help but at least she helped me figure out where I was, what stores might be open in the area, and just showed a little basic common kindness. I was sitting on that road for over an hour waiting for a tow truck and he made it clear he would not give me 10 seconds to help me figure out my situation. Thanks for nothing. I wonder if he had a family member in trouble how he would feel if that person received the treatment he provided me. read more
