The woman working here is a real buzzkill. I am a shopper who doesn't like to be bothered, however--nothing beats a smile and a hello upon walking into a place. She will engage in conversation if you get it started while buying something. Hmmm. I had thought at one time that I may be a regular if only because the wonderful Leanin' Tree greeting cards are carried here. Meh. I get more warmth at the Hallmark store which is in the same mall, and from ordering cards online with Greeting Card Universe, where customizing is free. Both places provide a "Thank you for stopping in!" :-)

You could spend a bit of time here just to see everything and you'd probably still miss things. Nope. I walked in and the lady working there looked up at me from her knitting/crocheting and looked back down. No hello. Nothing. I did a small circle, getting closer to the register to see if I'd still get an acknowledgement. Nothing. I have decided that as I visit stores and shop the Christmas bazaars that if the owners cannot take the time to greet potential customers then they do not deserve my business. A simple "hello" doesn't hurt anyone. It's one word. I would of even taken a wave... Sorry not sorry.

A friend highly recommended that I work with Dallas for my wedding flowers and I was so glad that I…read moredid! When I met with Dallas in her shop to discuss my vision for my flower arrangements she was warm, funny, and immediately understood what I was looking for. She knew the venue well (Crow Creek Mine) and provided tons of advice and recommendation above and beyond just the flower arrangements. When Crow Creek Mine sent me the layout of our reception I forwarded it to Dallas and she actually edited it to make it better. When she showed up the day of the wedding to arrange the flowers the layout was a little different than what we discussed, but she was able to adapt her arrangements to make the reception look gorgeous. Dallas did all of our center pieces, four flower crowns, my main bouquet and a tossing bouquet, four boutonnieres, and four corsages. She also brought additional accent pieces for my cocktail tables and left blooms for my dessert table. I loved my bouquet. She took the elements that I described and made it into a beautiful reality with tons of texture and different types of greenery. The quality of the flowers was apparent when the bouquet lasted for a whole week after the wedding. I took it camping with us down in Tutka Bay and tossed it off the back of a sea kayak, which seemed fitting for the end of an Alaskan wedding. I especially loved the wrist corsages she created. She used silver cuff bracelets, which made them look very polished and sophisticated on my mother and mother-in-law (not like a cheap prom corsage). Everything was perfect and beautiful and I was ecstatic with the way that everything looked. I know Dallas also offers a la carte items, but I have to say, having the full service treatment where she set everything up relieved so much stress from the actual day.
