The doctor showed so much are with my adolescent son which is what the youth need from any adults, esp their pediatrician The receptionist staff is also very friendly. It's unfortunate that I have to post a poor review of this practice. My daughter has been a patient of this practice since she was born (7.5 years ago). Unfortunately, this practice was taken over by Novant, which I knew would be bad news. With the new school year coming up I attempted to schedule an appointment for my daughter's physical / immunizations. I didn't even know what she might need for the school year. Unfortunately, this practice seems to no longer answer phone calls. After multiple extended hold times, and two voicemails which were never returned, I finally decided to use the online portal to schedule and appointment (even though I really wanted to talk with someone for a moment about what immunizations and other tests may be required, the online service precludes this possibility). On 8/10 I scheduled an appointment using the online portal, and immediately received a confirmation email. Today, 8/16, I received a call from the office indicating that the appointment slot I picked was only for new infants, not physicals, and no such appointments were available until mid-September. I asked if there was any indication of this on the website. The person I spoke with indicated there was not, but they saw it on my screen. I asked why they waited a week to tell me about this, to which I received no answer. She offered me an appointment in late September, or suggested I go to Minute Clinic. I indicated I would need to speak with my wife about this, and she gave me a call back number. Ten minutes later, I called back on the provided line, at 440PM. I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes on hold. No answer. Apparently, when the office closes at 6PM, they don't clear out the que for hold. 1 Hour and forty minutes. I wanted to email someone about this so the practice could have the opportunity to correct the issue. On the website, and my own correspondence, I can not find a single email address. I tend to like to give businesses an opportunity to address and correct their errors before leaving an unfavorable review, but they won't pick up their phones, and don't give out email addresses. They are actively working to NOT hear the feedback from their patients / customers. *Care* is an essential element in Health Care. This interaction, and their lack of mechanism for receiving feedback shows me "care" is not a part of the equation. Despite the good care we received on site in the past from actual health care providers, the "management" from Novant is destroying what we previously a very good practice. For these reasons, I advise all to stay away from this practice. read more

My kids have been attending this practice since my son was born in 2008. When we moved to another county we still kept coming back for my kids check-ups/sick visits as we loved Dr. Williams. So I called to make an appointment for my daughter for her 6 year check up today. I ask that it be during a time that is after school (after 3:00 PM) and one with Dr. Williams. The receptionist then proceed to schedule my daughter with a doctor I had never heard of. When I asked to be see Dr. Williams I was told that she doesn't offer afternoon appointments. I told the receptionist that we would find a new practice. I find it unacceptable that my daughter have to be taken out of school for a check-up. Plus I don't want her seeing a doctor who is not familiar with her for her check-up. So it is with sadness that we will be leaving this practice. read more

My daughters have been going to Old Towne Pediatric since they were born. They are now 16 and almost 13 years old. I have seen a steady decline in customer service over the past several years, mainly with the front staff or those in charge of answering phones and messages. They never answer their phones, NEVER, they do not respond to your voicemails or to your MyChart requests for an appointment. I feel bad for the great medical professional like Dr. Bailey and FNP Rickerby and some of the nurses. They are awesome but the front office customer service is terrible. read more

After a voicemail heads up to expect something in the mail, we were notified via letter that my two children were being dismissed from the practice due to them joining a medical group that would not serve children who did not follow the typically prescribed course of vaccinations. We had over a decade long relationship with them and that is precisely how it ended. Incidentally, I had already decided after my previous visit never to return with my prepubescent daughter after Dr. Williams asked me WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS RIGHT THERE if we had discussed "periods." When I said we had not quite yet she said "you should do that soon so she doesn't go to the bathroom one day and become terrified." Still in shock to this day about that incident! read more

We have been going here since my daughter was born. One issue after another. Whether it's my daughter being late on vaccines because they don't have them, and having to come in multiple times for that, or no one calling us back if we leave an urgent message, they never have an after hours DR on call only a nurses line. However most recently, I waited all weekend to get I. On Monday with a sick child and they inform me they have no provider in the office?! That's correct, no Doctor in the Doctors office... unbelievable! Currently taking my daughter to Patient First and looking for a new pediatrician. They need to be audited by Novant before they slap their name on them. read more

We have been sorely disappointed with Old Town Pediatrics. At first we heard that Dr. Williams was great and was named a top doc by Washingtonian. That may have been the practices undoing. They are very busy, and you almost never see an MD. We are almost always seen by the Nurse Practitioner, who is very nice, but isn't really qualified to take care of our son's needs. Our son has a rare form of epilepsy that is very high maintenance and requires a lot of communication and coordination between our Pediatrician, Neurologist, nursing service, and school staff. The weak link in our chain is Old Town Pediatrics. Today I had to call and beg them to sign a form that the nursing agency needs, otherwise he will lose his nursing services. The nursing agency has repeatedly called and tried to get this done and OTP just ignores them. Dr. Williams is a very nice woman, but it is clear that she has too many patients. My son has a condition that is so rare only 1 in 40,000 children are born with it. You'd think she would remember him and the condition, since she probably will never see it again in her career. But no, I have to explain it to her every time. That is, on the one in ten visits that we see her and not the Nurse Practitioner. I'd suggest finding a different practice if you want any kind of doctor-patient relationship. This really functions more like a minute clinic. read more

This office may be too busy for their own good. We chose to move on from Olde Towne Pediatrics when the Doctor we were most comfortable with left the practice. Other doctors at this practice were not interested in working with us as parents. We also noticed a lack of competence in the office staff. We would have appointments for vaccinations and the staff would not know why we were there and when we would tell them why we were there they would tell us that we should have made a specific type of appointment. After a little confusion the doctors would look at the records and see that we had done things correctly but that things had not been recorded properly. We have been much happier with the quality of treatment, and service we have received at other pediatric practices. read more

This practice used to be wonderful. My children have been seen here since they were born (starting 10 years ago). With the departure of Dr. Williams, the care severely declined. We stuck it out though because overall we had always been content with the care we received. UVA Health has now taken over and the amount of issues this has caused has cemented my decision to find a new provider for my children. I have called requesting to speak to the office manager, who has never once returned my call. My insurance covers well visits 100%, but miscellaneous items are now being billed that aren't covered. I cannot trust a practice that overbills in order to make larger profits. Additionally, they have now billed me directly without submitting any claims to my insurance. The headache this has caused is why we will be finding new care outside of UVA Health. I am dumbfounded that the office manager is not actively trying to resolve any of these issues and will not even do something so minimal as to return a phone call. I can no longer recommend this practice and I no longer trust the care they provide. Regardless of how knowledgeable the doctors are, the front end and billing staff are forcing me to find new care after 10 years. read more

They have gone through an extensive restructuring over the past year, they now have online access, the cream of the crop doctors and very professional front desk staff. Glad we stuck it out because the sky is the limit for this practice. read more

I have been taking both my kids here since they were born (4years). The Physicians are pretty good and staff friendly but I am leaving the practice because my kids are behind schedule with their shots due to the practice not stocking their immunizations appropriately. I understand if they ran out randomly and I had to wait a week or so but this is the second time I have had to wait and continously call in to check the status of the immunizations. Finally 2 days ago when I called in to check they advised that they did have the shots but had to go through the list of parents that were waiting for the same shots even though my daughter is at this point 2 months behind. The nurse told me they would get us in for an appointment within 2-3 weeks. Which would mean that my daughter would be 3 months behind and getting her flu shot in mid december. It seems to me that stocking immunizations should be one of the main priorities for a Pediatric office. Sadly I am leaving the practice and have to have my kids start over and get accquainted with new Physicians at age 4 and 18months when they were just getting used to this office. read more

They consistently go out of their way to make sure that the best possible care is provided. Their only downfall is that they are too popular, making it pretty hard to get an appointment. But that being said, that is likely just because they are great at what they do. Dr. Williams is an amazing physician! read more

I have been VERY IMPRESSED by this practice.... It too came highly recommened to us, they have been amazing, make sure to book ahead for a specific doctor orcare provider but in all next day needed appoints. Also, their 24/7 help nurses' are amazing... Every issue from eye infection to our 5 month old having a seizure has been handled well, with amazing bed side manner, not to mention in a calm and reassuring way! I definately recommed them to any new parents or families looking for a change. read more

Way too busy! They cannot keep up with their patients and provide the simplest care at the rate that they herd people in and out of this place. It take 3 minutes to see the provider and about and hour just to get into an exam room. If your child needs lab work/x-rays/medication etc... then you cannot count on this group for decent service. They forget to call prescriptions in and do not call you with results in a timely manner. Today I waited nearly 5 hours to hear from them about a chest x-ray..they had the results but choose not to call? What kind of service is that? This holiday season several members of their group are on vacation and at the same time their are huge numbers of kids with the flu/strep/etc.. Its definitely time to switch providers. read more

Let me start off by saying that Olde Towne is by far the best Pediatric office in Northern Va , When arriving to the office in Manassas , The waiting area is very welcoming with friendly front staff , I have two boys ages 8yr and 3yr , and I can honestly say that they love coming to the doctors , the physicians are very kind and have great bedside manners , they answer my questions and I do not feel rushed. The ONLY reason my daughters still go to this practice is Dr. Williams. She is a wonderful doctor with an amazing bedside manner. That being said, the office manager and the front desk staff have no idea how to deal with the public. The office manager can be very rude and condescending. I love this office. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. I recently switched pediatricians, and I am so glad we did. My 4 year old daughter used to be scared of doctors, but now she really enjoys the visits and sometimes fakes being ill just so I can take her in. I actually don't mind seeing different doctors because all the doctors and nurses we've seen are great with kids and make the whole appointment a lot more pleasant. We especially like Miss Judy, the nurse. I would highly recommend this office to my friends and family. read more

I am disgusted with their answering service. I have been taking my daughter there for 13 years and LOVE Dr. Williams. They opened at 9:00 AM and I called at exactly 9:00 AM as the time changed from 8:59. She couldn't find my daughter's name, asked if she was a new patient, put me on hold twice, asked me a ton of questions that she should have had access to then at 9:07 told me there were NO appointments and the sick ones had already been taken? All in 7 minutes? I also let her know this was important because I had the flu all week - yes positive tested for the flu - and that she was sent home with a temperature. I know she has the flu and it is not a guess. Waiting until tomorrow is unacceptable. Now I'm off to urgent care! That answering service and this practice need to work on their people skills! I'm totally disgusted! I trusted them and when I have really needed them they treated me like stranger and I must say the answering service couldn't give a shit! read more

I've been bringing my kids to Olde Towne Pediatrics for 3 years and I think it's a wonderful practice. Dr. Williams came highly recommended to me also and I think she totally delivers. There are at times when I'm not able to get in with her because she is booked up, BUT everyone is wonderful in the practice and I am always able to get an appt (which is the most important thing). My last practice doesn't even compare with this one, for example whenever I leave messages I always get a call back, if I ever need forms filled out they're always on time, I always get a phone call for results, and the staff is super friendly. you cant always expect to get in with Dr. williams she's only one person, but she does sure tries her best to help me with whatever I need, and thats what I love about the practice the most. read more

We recently switched pediatricians - thinking that this new business would be run more efficiently. . We have had 3 appointments and each one has been at least a 45 minute wait. One was a 1 1/2 wait. Drs are great, but not worth the wait time. read more

Dr. Anastasia Williams is a wonderful doctor. I have a 5 yr. old & a 9 yr. old and whenever they are ill, she is quick to respond to our call. If I feel uncomfortable w/just a telepone opinion from her, she will sugggest an office visit to perform a medical check. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Williams and her staff. We were recommended to this practice in 2008 after the birth of our son. I have always been able to rely on the office and love they have an office in Gainesville. Dr. Williams, as well as the on-call staff are extremely attentive and willing to help!!! This office helped my daughter when no other office from DC/MD/NoVA, all the way to Fredericksburg, Culpeper, etc., would... Yes they are busy, and yes a lot of the times your visit is with the nurse practitioner, but they are always able to get us in.. Our former pediatrician would have us wait in the waiting room for at least an hour for EVERY VISIT. At least we have no wait and we are seen, and our concerns addressed in a timely manner. My daughter needed a certain kind of medication, and when no one else would see and/or prescribe to her, the sympathized and took us in. I will be forever grateful for this. read more

The service at Olde Towne Pediatrics has gotten progressively worse over the past several years. I am often put on hold in excess of 10 minutes when I can even get through on the line. I have not seen an actual doctor in ages - I don't even know who works there anymore. On a day when we had a snowstorm, the office said they would be open at 11. I called for two hours starting at 11 and kept getting the same message that they would be open at 11. I don't know if they ever opened or they just didn't have anyone to answer the phones. I do know that the person who works at the Minute Clinic was able to get in on time and open up shop and I was able to get there without too much hassle, so I'm not sure what the problem was with the Olde Towne staff. Up to now, I have not minded much since we mostly went in for routine issues, but now that I have a son with a rare, chronic disorder, I'm losing confidence that we are getting the best care. read more
