First off, I just read the 2 negative reviews, and to you I say, I am writing this on my own volition (without pay). And your reviews mean nothing in comparison to what I have experienced first hand. This has to be one of the finest retail operations I've experienced. I have bought a couple of knives over the past few months from this location and they have NOT preformed well. I am a daily carrier that uses my knife for basically anything that is required in that moment (I am in the new construction residential industry), however, when I went in an hour ago, I explained HOW I was using these knives, as another one was not preforming. Tim Rowland overheard, stepped up, and showed me a gambit of wonderful knives, catered to my use and needs after listening. I understand that this gentleman is not a salesperson, but one who typically makes the knives in the back, but he took the time to show me around and demoed 8-10 different knifes to make sure I was making the right decision. While before I was price conscious (around $50-$60 budget), today he showed me what I needed to make sure my needs were met. I walked out spending $350 on a blade that I did not intend on buying. But I feel now I have the knife that I need. I will forever buy all of my blades from this shoppe. read more

So I've been wanting a nice knife for some time now. My brother knew of this knife store called Olde Towne Cuttery so we went last week to check it out. I was looking for a fixed blade hunting/survival type knife. Not that I do any hunting and not that I plan on having to survive in the woods somewhere (lol). I just wanted a nice knife with a nice leather case to wear for those occasional camping weekends. A very nice shop with lots to choose from. Many different types of knifes and quite a few different manufacturers. The owners (Lee & Melissa Tigner) are helpful and very knowledgeable about any and all knife companies. They also have a beautiful selection of kitchen knives if you're interested. Individual or in sets. It's nice how much they make you feel right at home and will open any and all display cases to look at, hold and examine all the different knives. And the work shop in the back is just amazing! They do their own milling, grinding and polishing. So amazing to see true craftsmanship. After shopping around I was able to locate and purchase a very nice fixed blade knife with a leather sheath. I'm a very satisfied customer. I can't wait to take my other kitchen knives back to be sharpened. A very nice experience and now a satisfied customer. Oh! And the restoration of old knives is just amazing. I took my dads old Boy Scout knife in to get restored. It was in terrible shape and now it looks like new! Thanks Olde Towne Cuttery. Olde Town Cutlery did a repair for me on a knife of great sentimental value to my Mom. I shipped according to their instructions. They got back to me quickly, explained what was our best option, and did a fantastic job on the repair. Communication was fantastic, the repair is beautiful (new handle when Mom had melted the old one off somehow) and everything was done in a professional, friendly manner. Great service! Customer service that is worthy of it's own trophy! Folding knives, pocket knives, axes, razors, kitchen knives, you name it, they have it. Custom, new, and even previously owned. They also offer carving classes, engraving, and knife repair. Family owned business by a sweet husband and wife. They were so kind to give back to the community and help my cub scout's den learn all about pocket knives and knife safety. Few kids even ended up purchasing some knives after this very knowledgable lesson. We were so grateful for their kindness to give their time and teach these kids. Glad we did, we learned about a local business as well and we tell anyone and everyone who is on the hunt for a knife about them! Across from Red Barn Package/Liquor store, and next to a cigar shop. This knife shop has some of the most beautiful knives on display, and walking around as a lover of edged instruments is like being a kid in a candy store. I needed a couple of knives sharpened and they worked these blades to perfection. This place is awesome! It really has something for everyone. It was my first time in and definitely won't be my last. Staff is super friendly, store is very clean, and the selection is huge (Along with great prices!!) and theres wide variety of all kinds of blades and DIY knife building materials and some outdoor accessories. I found this place when I drove by and I saw their big sign and immediately had to turn around to check it out. I got 5 knives for me and my dad got 2. I can't wait to go back! Inbred clowns. They will ruin your knife. Make no mistake about it. None of the knives are truly custom. Lee makes all his knives with cheap blade blanks and sticks handles on them. These clowns have ruined one of my knives that I sent in to have scales replaced. They filed the choil off..........they filed all the jimping off the knife. They did install the scales and it's the sloppiest job I've ever seen. Just horrible. Most of the good reviews ( I believe) are put here by people who work in his store or people he has paid to write. Don't be fooled. These are rude, uneducated people, some of whom whine " waaa this is a small shop and we dont have time to speak to you" They should have just sent my knife back. Instead.......RUINED. read more

I love this place. They have a beautiful store, friendly and approachable staff and their knife making class was amazing. My husband and I made two knives with another couple, our friends. Lee was our teacher, and he explained the purpose and process of each step really well, and in an entertaining way. It was so fun, and we ended up with two unique knives that I am positive will become our favorites in the kitchen. Really makes you appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into knifemaking.
