Great gun store! They have a great selection, the best prices, and offer a great layaway plan too. I don't waste my time driving anywhere else. I've gotten to know the family over the years, just solid folks! They were incredibly helpful walking me through the process of purchasing my 1st suppressor (Great Price too!). If they don't have something in-store, they will order it and have it within a couple of days. Can't be beat! read more

Great people running it- Nice indoor range. Nice facility with clean, large restrooms, sitting area, snacks for purchase. Just a great place to go shooting. Pistol -25 yards. Rifle- (different area) 100 yards. The range officers are cool. They aren't trying to micro manage you. Limited gun and non-Fud selections for the size of the facility. Formal training in a professional classroom is offered as well. read more

All there stuff is extremely over priced they lowball on trade ins or sales and do not respect returns even after coming back the same day for a return on a gun I just bought from them a few hours ago I'll drive the 30 mins to Dawsonville gun and pawn before I come back here absolutely ridiculous read more

Great selection, solid prices, and a fantastic family to deal with. If thery don't have it, theyll get it for you in few days.

Owner helped me with the purchase of my first 2 firearms, he's super helpful, and certainly knows how to run a business. not to mention a very generous layaway policy as well as arguably the best prices you can find anywhere near metro ATL. I highly recommend and will definitely be back! read more

If you're not active or a 20+ year retired vet then your service isn't good enough here. Denied me military discount even tho I'm retired, just not 20+ years so it wasn't good enough. Go somewhere where they take care of all vets. It's not even about this discount, it's the principle. read more

Georgia Gun Store - Gun - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Gainesville, Georgia

Similar to most gun stores it's hard to get service unless you look like a cop. If you're under 35 good luck getting assistance without a hairy eyeball. And even then they aren't terribly attentive or keen on showing you their inventory behind the counter unless you explicitly ask to hold one. They'll kind of just point at it and talk about it then walk away, kind of a weird vibe. Selection is pretty good, just not fantastic service. Prices are about what you would expect, either msrp or a little higher, nothing egregious but not a bargain either read more

I drive past 4 other gun shops on my way to Georgia Gun Store. 'Nuff said. They ALWAYS go the extra mile for me.

I was searching the internet to locate a pistol I wanted to buy and stumbled upon Georgia Gun Store. They had the best price I could find so I emailed them a couple of times with some questions I had about the purchase. Mike was quick to return my emails , told me what I needed to do to complete the transaction. My pistol was shipped the next day (Friday) and arrived at my FFL Tuesday morning. I couldn't be happier with the service and price from Georgia Gun Store and wouldn't hesitate to do business with Mike again. read more

Great service, excellent inventory, Fair priced. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Not far from Athens and worth the drive.

Always a pleasure coming here. Love that it is family owned and the family actually works there. Super helpful, so polite, so patient, and willing to educate. The only physical place my husband and I go to purchase because we can trust their prices. read more

Bought my first AR at GGS. I looked at the stock online and found what I wanted. I tried calling shortly after their opening to confirm but no answer. I decided I was going to make the drive over there anyway and left it to chance. The online stock wasn't completely correct (exact model and caliber), but still very happy with what I ended up with. Prices for the gun and some ammo were very friendly compared to most places in Atlanta. I'll probably need some motivation to drive out there for my regular needs. But if I'm buying another firearm, I'm checking here first. read more

So I have worked at a gun store, A LONG time ago part time. But in saying that I know how it is there. This place was great! Great family owned store. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. A really good selection of handguns. Decent selection of rifles. Where they really excel is the parts to build and accessorize your AR or AK. Tons of very good parts at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this store. Best gun prices I have found in the Gainesville area! read more

Bad business hours. Are you even open? Hard to deal with. Rude staff. Overall terrible experience. Cannot recommended. read more

My son had his eyes on some things online. We stopped by Georgia Gun Store and they had everything he was wanting. Great customer service, great selection and great prices. Georgia Gun Store is our first stop shop from now on. I definitely recommend GGS. read more

Thanks guys, In and out in like 30 minutes, didn't mind my pointlessly looking at stuff for a bit, super friendly, but I don't remember anyone's name.. a lady and a fellow helped me out, both were great. I'll be back! ~Mike read more

After reading through some of the less favorable reviews, I'm shocked that this is the same place! I had a great experience with my purchase. They have a nice selection of rifles, shotguns, pistols and accessories. I drove about an hour and a half because they had the pistol I wanted in stock, and at a great price! They were very friendly and I was in & out in less than 30 minutes. ( I shopped for a few accessories while waiting for them to process my paperwork and get the pistol from the back.) All in all, I plan on returning here for future purchases and I have no complaints. THEY EVEN HAVE LAYAWAY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE PAYMENTS! read more

Fantastic buying experience with Georgia gun store. Saw on their website that they had the rifle I wanted in stock (fantastic price btw). I emailed them and they informed me it was in their warehouse and it would be a week before they got it in store. One week later I was in and out in under thirty minutes. Friendly staff. Will be revisiting again soon. read more

Rude customers service, worst online store, buying online full time headaches, WHAT a nightmare, it's 2nd week my payment is still stuck, no refund yet, NO GO STORE read more

Walked in, was greeted immediately so I told them what I wanted. They had plenty of the model I wanted in stock even with the outrageous demand for firearms currently due the current volatile state thanks to enemies of our constitutional republic. Filled out the paperwork and gave them my DL and CC license for the background check. They had plenty of the model I wanted in stock. Was out of there within 15 minutes. Pricing was pretty good as well. You can find cheaper online but I wanted to walk out with a firearm today and that mission was accomplished. Very good experience. read more

Online purchased a Ruger 10/22 22LR BL/FRENCH WALNUT 11165 20″ BARREL/NO SIGHTS in the last 5 days and did not get email to respond or confirm that the payment go through. No responded, No reply email, No pick phone calls. first I believed I got scam then after I did the research on Georgia gun Shop and discover some great comments regarding the service on this shop that's make me little happier but still heard nothing from the shop. read more

Just bought a Beretta shotgun. Customer service was great, price was excellent. Very friendly, super professional.

I have had a horrible time dealing with this store. I have purchased well over 10 guns online getting them all shipped to the same place. I originally placed my order on the 4th. I began calling on the 12th to no answer. called a second time with no answer. called a third time with no answer, and threatened to cancel the order with my card. then, a man named mike answers the phone with an incredibly rude attitude saying how he has sent me all the information and i have not sent him any information on the FFL that it needs to be sent to. I have, referencing the emails. and then he says that he has not heard back from my FFL. This has never happened before since i use the same FFL for a reason, they are a professional store. When I ask whats so difficult, he insists that he will be cancelling my order and hangs up on me. I WARN ALL CONSUMERS, DO NOT USE THIS STORE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING. I called my FFL and they said they have not received anything from Georgia gun store. I even said do you mind searching, which they agreed. and again, they said there has been nothing sent from Georgia gun store. This place wasted 2 weeks of my time. an absolute disgrace to how Americans should do business. The only thing I can do is urge consumers to STAY AWAY. read more

Horrible time wasting experience, made me wait on hold with my bank because they claimed they flagged my purchase for fraud. Come to find out the bank told me they ran my purchase it was pending, Georgia gun store told me it was just "their hunch" and really had no valid reason to cancel order. Their ignorance and stubbornness has wasted a lot of my time and they have chosen not to correct this issue. Let's see if they still run my card... Response: this is not true you are lying. at all and you know it, you playing the victim when in fact you know your in the wrong. I would like to see you "IP" research. Let's see it! And... I did not threaten to "ruin" you, I said I was going to let everyone that I know about this experience and rate you low on every site I can find. You come off like your the victim, you were stubborn and the "research" you claimed you did on me just pissed me off more. You did not work with me just brushed me off. And I did not yell, I got upset after the assumptions started on your end, and even after I could prove it was me... still no help. It was your assumptions that were not appreciated. You could have easily called me. I'm sorry but no it has become my personal mission to let everyone know not to deal with you. You wasted my time, calling my bank and waiting for 1plus hours to speak to someone that just told me it was you not them. Let's waste some more time.... call me we can talk in person about your lies. read more

Easy buying process. Good deals that seem to be up to date on their website, which is easy to use to search for guns & gear. They do a good job of posting gun deals on the main page of their website. They give a discount to first responders as well. Would buy from again. read more

Georgia Gun Store - Taurus 85 Ultra-lite - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Gainesville, Georgia

Great place to shop. I have purchased, probably a dozen guns from them in the past 2 years. Their prices are among the lowest I can usually find, the paperwork is fast and easy, no delays. They have an online store with pretty much whatever you want, and if the gun is in their warehouse(they have 10,000+ in stock in the warehouse easily), you can order it online for 25% down, and both times I have done that the gun was in the store, ready to be paid off and picked up within 72 hours. Nice selection of mags, parts, accessories, what's not to like? If I had to pick one thing to be critical about, it would be that the close at 5pm, which if you work a normal 8-5pm job, can make getting there during business hours a bit tricky. read more

Tried to buy CZ pistol online from Georgia Gun Store. 1. Gun was in stock. 2. Placed the order - no action of any kind for a week. 3. Then they emailed me saying, they need more $$ for airmail shipping. 4. Another week went by - they said, they don't have that gun anymore. 5. Then more days went by - they said they got the gun, but now it's the wrong model. Got tired of such customer service and cancelled the order. They did have snow storm in the area. read more

Very nice shop! Even during the gun scare in 2013 they didn't raise their prices crazy amounts. Their prices were pretty good and they were super friendly. Purchased Magpul accessories from them because I couldn't find them in Austin, TX. Will buy from them again and order online as well! A+++ for non gouging! read more

I stopped by when Mike first opened his store in the morning today. Mike had my firearm order on hold even though it was flying off the shelves anywhere else. Absolutely awesome store, Veteran owned with his wife. This little store has the most selection and fantastic prices compared to all the stores near me (Buford/Sugar Hill.) I wanted to get a Holosun HS510C, I called about 10 different gun stores and 8 out of 10 of them responded with "A Holo-what?" Trigger time was one I called theh very nice and helpful. I called GA Gun Store and the man who owns it, Michael, answered and said "Which color green or red?" so I drove down, got my hands on both of them and they even let me try on a rifle to let me test it out. Ended up with the Green (HE510GR.) Oh and was $50 than cheaper than Dead Center, the range near me. Way nicer too. Go check out their awesome selection, everything I had been looking at online I was able to get my hands on and look at it up close. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Best price on the web for a S&W 9mm Shield m 2.0. My local gun store owner said he couldn't even buy it for that price. The ordering process was quick and simple. I ordered it on a Thursday. Love this place. I've bought every gun I own from here. Always quick, friendly and knowledgeable service. Best prices in the north metro.

My friend speaks very highly of this place. As we went to visit it, I was quite impressed with everything that is here. It is quite organized from the moment that you step in. Rifles / larger weapons on the back wall, while all of the handguns are within the cases. You are allowed to demo out some of the weapons, and all of the trained staff behind the counter present the guns to you cleanly. (making sure the chamber is clear and is unloaded). The prices that they offer in the store for the guns are a lot more affordable than most other stores in the area. I was able to buy a Waltham PPQ for $550 compared to other shops that were selling it for well over $600. The paperwork that you need to fill out is very quick and easy. They verify that you are a 'good' person by checking with the FBI Database. If you have your carry permit, it makes it go even faster! Overall, the staff was very friendly, had great knowledge and the location was well maintained. There is a private parking lot outside (shared with the shopping mall area), so it is also safe and secure. read more
