I pre-paid for Christmas packages to be wrapped but they failed to make note of it. Paid again to get my packages. Had to go home, find the receipt, and bring it back to get a refund. Had I not kept the receipt, their ineptitude would have cost me double. Plus, the price for gift wrapping is now through the roof. OH! And there is a flat $2 fee to run a debit card. That's outrageous. The previous owners built relationships and treated people fairly. They had integrity and knew how to manage their business. These people are price gouging, and their service is very sketchy.

Upon completion of the move, you are forced to sign off that there was no damage in order for the 'clock' to stop. 3 movers showed up to move our house and they were all very nice, however they were not…read moreprofessional at all. They damaged a chair (antique), an end table (pictured) and dropped and shattered our big green egg. When they brought in the end table the worker said "um, sorry, the knob came off" As you can see, it was much more than just a knob coming off. It was completely damaged beyond repair. He also said he could fix it with some gorilla glue. I actually laughed at that one! The same worker thought he could move the egg off the truck alone even though it weighs (with the large wooden stand it was on) probably 1000 lbs. It shattered because it is completely ceramic. We have submitted claim forms but the owner hasn't responded and said she would replace the egg with a used one, since ours wasn't new. It was less than 4 years old and only had been used maybe 8 times, it was in pristine condition. It also held a pampered chef pizza stone, which was also broken. After the egg incident the head worker and the one who dropped it screamed at each other loudly in our driveway for about 15 minutes, blaming and defending and screaming. All extremely unprofessional. We had provided lunch for them and were gracious to them at the time, because it is just things, but the fact that we haven't heard from them and no restitution has happened makes me want to leave a true review, so you know what you are getting. The worker who dropped the egg, said he wouldn't be returning to work because he didn't want to work for free. (obviously not recognizing that he would be working to pay off a debt, not working for free) He also said the owner would hire anyone who showed up to work, which let me know that they are mostly inexperienced at properly moving items of value. They also said they couldn't get the baby bed apart and didn't move it, however, when my husband went back to move it, it came apart quickly and easily. I think they just didn't want to move it. This is small, but also they told us they wouldn't move the mattresses without a mattress cover and that we would be charged for them if we didn't have them. So we purchased them ahead of time and they were never used. We left them on each of the mattresses for them to use, but the movers didn't use them. So that was wasted money as well. A lot of our boxes were smashed and I am so thankful we didn't let them move my valuable china, mirrors or pictures. So all in all, if you don't have stuff you care about, they were fine. This move happened in Nov 2020 and we still have no resolution and not even a returned call or text in regards to restitution. We are beyond frustrated and upset that we are going to have to take them to small claims court. We are getting our paperwork ready now to be served.

I spoke with multiple moving companies, at least 5 before Adam, and knew the second I connected with him that their company and team was different. He is down-to-earth, honest, friendly, and proud of his business and work. He believes in building relationships and being transparent throughout the whole process, start to finish. Adam took the time to visit with me at my home and inspected my belongings BEFORE quoting me, none of the blind 2-minute quoting a lot of other companies offer. He also spent a good hour talking with me about my circumstances, wants, and needs without any kind of expressed commitment from me..and that meant so much to me. It also gave me the opportunity to learn a lot more about the company. Hearing their backstory and how the company came about, as well as the many ways they strive to be fair while also helping out those in need as they are able, is phenomenal and something worth hearing if you have the time to listen and chat with Adam or Claudia!! Their team deserves your business and backing..especially because they whole-heartedly believe in serving the community and those in need through their work! They also believe in quality and dependable work. My move was scheduled at a very challenging time for both Adam and Claudia. Claudia had been in the hospital for over a week (where she still is) and Adam had spent a large portion of his time there..and yet he still made sure to be there on my move date..he along with 3 of their guys! Despite having very minimal sleep the night and days before..despite having so much more to worry about and a very understandable excuse to put their scheduled moves on hold or all together cancel..he still made sure they were there for me..not only me, every other move that past week as well! For these many reasons, I highly recommend this awesome company with no reservation!!! They are good people that I am rooting for loud and clear!! They are awesome!! Compassion Movers came to our rescue, they had to come back with an engine lift after a couple of days but they got it lifted and mounted on the stand that it came with. They were reasonably and fairly priced and I was more than happy to support a locally owned moving business.

Original quote was no more than half a day (which I thought was a stretch). They charge by the hour. They arrived at the storage unit at 10:00am. SEVEN HOURS LATER I was presented the invoice that included the time to go get a flat fixed, the hour lunch time, AND the time they spent trying to get the trailer out of the front yard after getting stuck. One star is a stretch....but the two young men that loaded and unload were nice guys. AND they called when they were on their way and were on time. ONLY positives.

Wife and I had agreed we were going to use them, just wait and hear back. Friday came and went with no call. I waited until Saturday and nothing. I emailed the guy that came out to our house. Nothing. I then emailed the owner. Nothing. On Sunday, our moving company called and I explained I had not heard back from packers. He said he would call them. A few hours later, the owner responded with an email asking if we ever heard from the worker that came to our house. The owner explained he was out of town with a sick family member. I responded back that I understood completely but would love to get the quote back and get busy since our move was happening in a couple of days. No response again, from anyone. So we decided at last minute to pack our house and get it ready in two days! Communication has been horrible. The owner seems like a good guy and I understand he has a sick family member. But this is more about his worker that came out and never responded back. It has now been 4 days and we move in 24 hours.
