My family couldn't be more thrilled with the exceptional service that this team provided. We had a HUGE move - A 3BR house and two large storage units packed with large antique furniture - And although we kept them working hard nonstop from noon until 5pm, we didn't hear a single complaint or sense a poor attitude from any of the guys. They were fun, friendly, polite, on time and extremely careful with my mom's furniture; In short, they made what could have been a miserable job actually fun. SO MUCH OFF with these guys! Arrived & one immediately needed restroom. Then all I heard were cabinets in there opening/closing.Antique sofa ripped hole in side, unloaded with side to wall so wouldn't be seen until they left. They really drug out a simple job ( paid by hour); argued between themselves loudly. Dropped boxes on floor when unloading causing several boxes to burst. No regard for my possessions. Lost (??) Item was never found, owner said he'd ask them & call back. Nothing. I used them in 2017 and they were not like this. I'm single older lady so confrontations are not in my best interest. I thought when my husband called on these people to move us from tyler to Longview, everything was going to be fine. Which it was until we started to unpack our boxes. , that's when we realized we were missing some boxes, one small box that had my husband's tools, one boxed that had some dishes in it. We were missing a dust broom, a mop and mop pail, this same company moved my sister on June the 1st, and she had things missing, we called the owner of this company and he told my husband that the boxes were left at the apartment we moved out of, so we called the Manger at the apartment we moved out of and told my husband that there was no boxes left behind, so if anyone is looking for a moving company, look somewhere else, these people are thieves, read more

These guys were great! I called them on Wednesday to see if they could move my stepmom on Friday and they fit me in. Took them a little over 3 hours and it was a move from Tyler to Athens. I hate to have to do this, since I left a fairly positive review a couple of years ago, but things have changed. I purchased a new home and needed help moving from my apartment to my home, I called Mr. T's on a Thursday (I believe) and asked if he had any available trucks/movers for the following Monday, he told me to call him back in like an hour or two. When I did that, I went through the whole spill about where I'm moving from, where I'm moving two, how many bedrooms and all that jazz, he told me he'd have something available around 1 Monday and if anything came open sooner he'd call to give me a heads up. Monday came and went, I went to sign my closing papers and went to my apartment to start moving smaller things and waited... around 1:30 I realized the movers weren't coming so I called Mr. T to see what was going on to find out he never even booked me. Mr T's Moving and Hauling Service - Tyler TX Mover PLACE DETAILS Shelia Williams 2 minutes ago 1. Late (as everyone else indicated). 2. Spent too much time wrapping furniture running up the clock. This could have been remedied by just covering with quilts and moving belts. 3. Left many of my items at my old residence that I had requested to move, and looked "disappointed" when I asked to add other things. The trunk had ample available space, and they were being paid by the hour! 4. I was told that they accepted checks during the week by the owner, but the movers said cash only (as previously mentioned). 5. I was promised (by the owner) garment boxes to move clothes on hangers, and when they arrived, they claimed that they were not told, and had just left another job (their office was 5 minutes away from my old and new place). I had to move my own 3 closets of clothes! 6. They did not hook up my washer and dryer at my new place, and I was told that I needed to get a new dryer hose (by the way), when in actuality, my hose had been left at the previous house. 7. They put a large, heavy dresser in front of my newly installed cable box, covering up that equipment (rather than moving it out and making this back accessible). 8. They drank up several bottles of my water (for good service, this would not be a problem, but for what I received....)! 9. They bickered amongst themselves, and also told a male relative of mine that he should be helping (as I have seen mentioned on here as well). 10. They tried to get me to sign off that I was a satisfied customer, and I politely declined. 11. And the final and worst insult came at the end....when I noted these things to the owner of Mr. T's, he indicated that I should have settled everything with the movers, and was not interested in hearing what was going on nor any type of service recovery. He was apathetic and offered no accountability for his employees. Of all the aforementioned issues, this one was the most unsettling for me. Months ago I talked to Mr. T about replacing our furniture or paying for the damage as promised by him. He refused to replace what his workers damaged. He was rude and hung up on me at one point, he basically told me that our furniture is not with his time even though it was his company that damaged the items. He claim to have a business that is pure yet he doesn't hold up to his word. never use this company!!!! they broke my china, they threw boxes in the shed because it was raining, i watched them do that, they did not want to put the rest of our stuff in the other shed because they took too long arguing about it and so they left with what they told me was a couple of boxes (it was more like 20 boxes left) all the owner said was im sorry. i fired those guys. funny because i just saw the same guys out side mr.t's shop. im pending a civil suit against them due to how much stuff the ruined and broke!!!!!! dont ever use them!!!! horrible read more

Called Mr T's, last Thursday morning, about moving a heavy (400 lb) industrial sewing machine from one house to another. He said that he could work me in that day. The movers called me and they arrived at the location of the machine. I arrived about 20 minutes after they had arrived. They had everything set up and were waiting for me so they could load it into the truck. They loaded it up and followed me to my house. Once at my house, they inspected the location where it was to be set, moved some things around to make it easier to get the machine into place, and moved it. The movers were very friendly and professional. They took great care not to damage the machine or anything at my house. I paid the workers for the move (Mr T's generally only takes cash) and gave each of the workers a nice tip. I was happy with their service. The workers were very friendly and nice. I would be happy to use this moving service again. read more

This team really impressed us. They were efficient, careful and really worked well together. We had Junior, Darryl, Marcus and Tim. We have used movers for five of our nine moves and these guys were in the top tier. They shrink wrapped all the furniture and loaded the Uhaul very effectively. We had movers on the Georgia end of the move, and after 728 miles, nothing damaged. The GA movers commented, 'Dang, these guys loaded this thing sweet' They got the job done on budget with great quality. Nice job. read more

Mr. T's moving, the worst moving experience of a lifetime. Move from a 4BR; 2 1/2BA home approx 2100 sq ft. During the move the remotes to all the appliances and the owner's manual which was purposely place on it were misplaced. Although I just cleaned out one closet and $1.75 was found when it fell from a garment, mr. T's worker would have me to believe they found and did not return unto me no valuable, coins or dollar bills. I hope in God's judgment mr. T gets exactly what he deserves for his lack of integrity, honesty and poor business practice. This move continues to be a nightmare because I have yet to find expensive electronics and valuables. I wished I had gotten a U- Haul and some hourly day labores. He will definitely take advantage of a single or divorced woman, who urgently needs to move, disabled and African American. Shame! Shame! These movers are the MOST unprofessional company I have ever seen. They gave an estimate for a move and we agreed on a price and a date. As the date grew closer, I realized that I needed more time to pack, so I called and asked to reschedule for a month later. It was at this time that I should have gotten my first indication that this company was not legitimate. They asked for $200 more and demanded cash at the time of the move. The second move date approached and I called the day it was scheduled. The owner then told me it would be an additional $200 and they would take me to my bank in order to get the money. I said we have already agreed upon an amount. Are you going to show up and do the move as agreed to. The owner told me that they absolutely would not do what they had already agreed to and would not be showing up on that day or any other. I used Mr T to move to the next building over in my apartment. Literally 10 parking spots down. They movers showed up at 9:10 and the guy laughed and said we would just call it 9:00. I thought he was joking.(He was not) Then he asks "where's your husband?" I told him he was at work and he responds with "he should be here to help move this s***!" I said no, that's what I hired you all for. I tried to show him where we were moving to and he told me no, he's just going to put my stuff in the truck. I did not have a lot of large furniture, mostly boxes that were packed and I had moved them to our dining room. It should have been an easy move. If I wasn't in the room one of the guys was just on his phone. He continues to tell me inapprppriate thing about what he had found in others apartments, they are arguing about who is carrying more and one of the guys is complaining about how slow everyone else is going. They took tons of breaks, lost the paperwork, then charged me to look for them. What should have taken under 2 hours, took 4 professional movers almost 2 1/2 hours to not even finish the job ( I was even having to help), then charge me almost $300. I'm a female by myself with 4 large men. When it came time to pay one of the guys joke about giving someone a black eye. I just paid them so they would leave. I could keep going with other things that happened but it's just too much. When my husband got off work and I told him what happened and he saw how much was left he called Mr. T. Nothing was done, I was still over charged, and we had to finish our move ourselves. This was the WORST experience I've ever had with movers. read more

We were from Monroe, LA----had to have help moving my nephew at the last minute---these men were professional EVERY minute! They were very polite, happy but most of all hard working. I would avoid this company at all costs. I set up an appointment to unload one pod. Got quoted $135 for one hour. Then, after the pod was unloaded in 45 minutes they refused to leave unless I paid a $215 "minimum" that had never been disclosed. Flat out fraud. They also clumsily drop some electronics.
