Taylor made the entire planning process feel effortless. From the second we arrived onsite for our first tour of the venue, Taylor made us feel welcomed. She was patient, answered all our questions and explained everything so well. After that, making the decision to pick Edgewood for our venue and have Taylor be our wedding coordinator was an absolute no brainer. Taylor conducted herself with the utmost professionalism throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was extremely responsive with emails, kept detailed notes from our meetings, and really helped paint the perfect vision for our perfect day. We had a few customization requests (i.e., meals for picky eaters, gifts for guests, etc.) and she made sure that all of them were fulfilled. Even with the last-minute changes, she handled them with ease and made it seem like it was the plan all along. Taylor exemplifies what it means to be a master of her craft and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The private tasting was one of the highlights of the wedding planning process. Edgewood offered a private tasting where we had the opportunity to taste the food with both sets of parents. It made the experience truly special that we had the opportunity to share this event with our parents. The chefs, staff and property coordinator came out to meet us as well and again, cannot emphasize enough how great they are. Their commitment to service shines and it followed through for the day of. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch and the Edgewood staff executed flawlessly. We didn't have to think, we just did. Taylor, Gigi and team did all the thinking for us and all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. The bridal and groomsman suite were set up perfect, and they made it a great place for us to relax and get ready for the wedding. The venue looked spectacular. We had around 220 guests and felt that everyone had plenty of room and did not feel cramped even in the slightest. Last but certainly not least, the food. The food throughout the whole day was exquisite. Our guests are still raving about how delicious it was and how everything was so nicely presented. The drinks were also delicious and Taylor and team made sure that the bar was sufficiently staffed, with very few lines so our guests could get right back to enjoying themselves. If you are looking to have your wedding in New Jersey, you should look no further than Edgewood Country Club. The structure that houses the driving range almost looks almost abandoned. It could have used a good power washing years ago. This place could use some TLC. While this members only club is extremely hard to get admitted to, should you ever have to opportunity to play here, DO NOT PASS IT UP. For fairness to the guest who allowed me to play along with the other members privacy, I wont divulge the names of known members or the annual fees for the club, but I can say that you wont find your average middle class worker as a member here. You pull your car up to the valet who will unload your golf bag for you then head to the very elaborate wood finished locker rooms where an attendant will see to it that your things are taken care of. You can grab a bite to eat or a drink in the dining room or explore the pro shop. By the time you walk outside, golfcarts are waiting with your bags already in the back. At this point you can go hit the club supplied balls on their range, or practice your chipping or putting at their designated locations. The course itself is extremely well kept. Player or their caddys seem to do an excellent job of replacing ball marks and divots. The fairways and greens were well maintained and this was by far the greenest course I have ever played on. Tons of ravines and bunkers make the play challenging, yet a memorable experience. I loved the added touch of the coolers filled with water on many of the holes. The best part about private clubs are there are never crowds of people waiting for their tee-times. We were the only ones on the course for most of the day and one of 3 groups in the clubhouse. After our round, a hot shower in the locker-room that is well stocked with necessary as well as many additional and unexpected toiletries did the trick before heading back to the dining room for an early dinner. The food was as expected excellent. I was a tad hesitant to try anything with grilled chicken since most grilled chicken dishes I have are usually dry and lack taste. However, upon the insistent request of my friend I have the Peter Luger Chicken Wrap a try. Ladies and gentleman, it is official. I have found the perfect chicken wrap. I can only tell you the wrap involved grilled chicken, peppers, onions, and it was marinated with heaven. I would probably get this wrap every day if I could. So whenever, you folks at Manhattan Wood's invite me to become a member for free, I think I will probably cover the annual fee just by purchasing a ton of these chicken wraps. I walked out the front door to find my car up front, my bag loaded in the trunk, and my shoes having the best cleaning they have had since I first got them. I really hope to be back soon.

If you are trying to have a fun time, do not come here. What a waste of my time, only good part was it was only 30 bucks.

Probably because it is a municipal course on NY state grounds that gets bare minimum funding from our wonderful state government. Greens and fairways are very good for a muni course. Cart paths and traps are a ridiculously ignored for over 10 -15 years (at least). Rough is crazy high so if you are in there, it will take a while to find your ball. Overall - If you want to practice, this course is good as the layout and the rough makes it very hard to score. There are far better alternatives, but if you want to just hit the ball, it is OK. Once again, the guys at the desk are very nice.

I would say that it is more helpful than most of indoor golf simulators, since you can actually see your ball and analysis in realtime, as opposed to only the latter at indoor golf simulators. The only reason why I did not give 5-stars is that every bay is not equipped with a fan, a heater and the Toptracer. Some bays lack either one or two of the three, so you need to find one which suits your need.

Fairways are well manicured, greens are well kept and the rough...Is rough. I played from the blues which plays 6300yrds. Good length and whites are shorter and seem less challenging. Blues puts fairway bunkers into play. Staff is friendly but getting a tee time is tough but I was able to walk on. Price was is not cheap but I pay to play in nice places and if I want cheap I am playing on the weekday. I did play on the weekend which was pricier and did play on the weekday which was cheaper. Lay out is nice with a lot of traps and rough that can get you into trouble. It is a lot of course management. Overall a gem of of a course that will challenge you and penalize you if you spray and pray. I shot an 83 and it is my second time playing. Last time i shot an 89 a few weeks prior. Well worth the price of admission.
