It is open but there are maybe 15 heated stalls most of the stalls have no heater or the heater is broken. The web site is down so there are lots of surprises about ball count and ball price. We brought the grandkids to play miniature golf today - it was so unkept! The pools of water were filthy green and the carpet greens were ripped on every hole. They didn't even give us a score card. Never again! It's clear that they have no interest in this part of the center. read more

Went on a beautiful weekend afternoon and I was surprised to see how few cars/people where there...then I saw the mini golf course and it started to make sense. The website shows beautiful water features. In reality you get a few nasty pools of green water. It doesn't look like anyones done any landscaping in a LONG time. A few of the putting greens have the seems coming apart. It's a shame because at some point it must have been a nice mini golf course and it wouldn't take all the much effort to make it a respectable place to bring your kids or a date. The structure that houses the driving range almost looks almost abandoned. It could have used a good power washing years ago. This place could use some TLC. No enforcement of social distancing or masks. Not surprised if another Covid wave soon. Even employees here don't enforce it nor wear masks themselves. Golf instructor Brian Stambaugh will only put on the mask if he's near you (literally inches away coaching you) if you tell him to wear the mask. Shame on him. There are signs up for patrons to wear the masks always, but I guess coaches are "special". read more

After driving 25 mins away to go mini golfing, we got there at 9pm. It says on the voice recording they are opened till 11pm. We go in and the guy dismissed us by saying they close at 10pm and he denied us entry. This review is for mini golf only. Went with a friend and our kids. Much of the green is uncared for. The water is dirty. Two of the holes had filthy water in the cups - we didn't want the golf balls to go in because we weren't going to put our hands in to retrieve them. It was only $8 a person. Closter mini-golf course is an absolute disgrace! It should be condemned! No one should bring their children or family there. It is absolutely filthy: full of dirt, mold, dirty water, debris, and a used prophylactic on putting hole #8. I brought my six yr old grandson there for a day of fun and could not believe the disrepair and filth of the place. Would discourage anyone from visiting that facility. read more

Huge range with mini golf. Owners and staff are the least welcoming and friendly people ever. That needs to change and that community knows it...Two stars off the batt for being unwelcoming...Another off for the guy dispensing mini golf gear out...No hi and no care as he handed out an adult sized putter to a 5 year old...I had to point that out as he did not care. That community needs to look at other people not of their community with an adjusted cultural eye. This is a golf center not a shopping market. People at my range in Pleasanton, CA greet me and make me feel welcomed for coming to their range. Here I was treated like they were doing me the favor of allowing me to be there. Mini golf area was beat...Spend money to upgrade it and make it more welcoming and fun. Overall it is a POS compared to other mini golf places I have been too. The food shack was good and I liked the cultural food served but it took for ever to get drinks - what happens on a busy day?!?!. All this can be fixed but the owners will need to read this review and take heed. I have options when I am in the area. The saving grace is price...Great value and I could only image how much better it would be with some of the recommendations I spelled out. read more

Golf range was clean and basic. It is pretty big and have am area downstairs for food and drinks. The price is really food and they have every other stall open for the Covid time. It is in the nature and I saw 3-4 hawks flying around and 3 deers. The day I went to was breezy and I enjoyed being outside. I will come again. read more

Tonight my friends and I decided to have some fun and take some swings at the Closter driving range. We are amateur golfers, so we decided to rent a driver for two dollars, which is a fair price. After taking only five swings, the club heard launched off of the driver. I took it back to the front desk to explain what happened, and without even being able to give an explanation for the ordeal, I was told I had to pay $20 for the club. I did not want to argue with the man, who barely spoke English and was extremely grumpy, so I handed over the twenty dollars. He gave me a new club, but once again the club head was loose as can be seen in my picture. I did not want to have to pay another $20, so I cut my losses and gave the rest of my balls away. I attempted to explain to the man once more what happened, but he just ignored me. Worst customer service experience of my life. Tappan golf is a much better option in the area, so take your money there. I will never come back here. read more

I used to come here in the mid 1980's when this was a 9 hole pitch-n-putt course. It was awesome. It was like playing real golf but on a smaller scale. The 9 hole course has given way to a huge driving range and a 18 hole mini golf course. The mini golf was here back in the '80's but I remember it being a better course. There are no mini windmills or other obstacles on the mini-golf holes. Kind of boring. I gave the place 3 stars because the driving range was really nice. read more

Taking a trip to Closter Gold Center is a worthwhile venture! Let me tell you this place gets JUMPIN! slam packed the majority of the times I have gone there.. Balls are probably a bit on the expensive side but not too bad.. Even though its crowded the 2 story driving range facility has plenty of bays to accommodate all the golfers.. The mini golf course is alright. nothing special it could use some new features I think but it will do! The best part though about Closter Golf is the heaters. As far as I can tell it is open ALL YEAR LONG! with a personal heater in each bay to stay warm.. Now thats dedication! read more

This is my first golf experience and I must admit I've learned a lot...it is so much different compared to other sports I've done in the past. Closter golf court has double layers so that it could accommodate many more people. We came on Saturday morning after the shower yesterday yet still the court was almost filled. Absolutely horrible service here. All I wanted to do was spend the day with my family and play mini golf because I wasn't able to be with them on Thanksgiving. The course was absolutely DISGUSTING it was so SOAKED (flooded) that my nephew slipped and fell. The holes were filled to the brim with dirty water. Putters and golf balls were left everywhere not cleaned up. They didn't enforce their own social distancing rules. I understandably asked for a refund and was flat out told "no" nothing else. Nothing fancy, but does offer a very nice putting green which is helpful and many ranges in the area dont have and an area that lets you hit off grass instead of mats which is great training for playing on a real course. I think the local weekend warriors will really like this place but the younger people and ones who dont really play golf often and are jusy looking to have some fun with friends will probably be dissapointed. read more

People who run this place seem very cheap and act as if you're trying to pull one over on them. Took my 6yr old daughter here and the guy kept saying "one round only"...as if our plan was to going around and around to scam them out of an additional 5 dollars. I can see if there were a bunch of kids looking to take advantage but I'm a dad with a young child. And the guy made sure I kept my personal clubs in the rack...as if I was going to sneek in my own putter and ball. And isn't a mini golf course supposed to have more than 2 "attractions" on the course. And the sign "turn off heaters when you're done" in the driving range...as if they have one eye on their electric bill. Reminds me of that scene "you pay now" from the movie "Don't be a menace to South Central when drinking your juice in the hood". And why do all the workers here wear sandals with socks? I went to the mini golf. The course is completely poorly designed due to little pools of water and is need of massive repairs. Due to rips in the fences by the water, the ball went in and was unable to be retrieved. I had to stand holding a large coat over gaps leading into the water on almost each hole on the course everytime someone played. This mini golf course was a complete disappointment and a waste of money. Super friendly staff, very affordable for both Mini-Golf and driving range. So what its an older facility, the interior is super clean and modern enough, i could care less hitting balls how old the sign is out front or the building is. They keep it more than good enough for a driving range. Good helpful pros on staff for lessons. Always busy but not too busy. read more
